Transferring a molten pet

I'm in the process of switching my side account to my main account.  I have two molten pets that I want to move over to my new main account.  I just transferred one pet and I'm a little confused about what's going on.

 

I just moved my molten lupe.  His avatar on the left side of the page shows him as molten, but when I go to the Quick Reference page, he shows up as plain red.  I take him into the battledome and he's plain red.  It's like half the time he's red, and half the time he's molten.  Does any one know what's going on?

Unfortunately, you cannot transfer molten pets or they will become red. If you want your pet to be molten on that account, you will have to figure out your account time at the lava pool and paint them again. This is why you never see molten pets in the pound.

Ok, I thought so.  But then, why is my lupe showing up at molten half the time?  That must be a bug.

Did you use the Transfer a Neopet feature or do a pound drop and catch your Lupe on your side account?

I pound dropped him.  The account is too new to do a real transfer.

Ok, then that's your issue. Magma pets can be transferred safely, but when they are put in the pound their colour changes to Red.

That's the thing...he DOES appear magma at times.  It's really weird, because it sounds like that shouldn't be the case.

If you clear your web browser's cache/temporary files, I wonder if he will still appear Magma?
