Car questions

So my parents have been deciding on what car to get me. They have finally set two choices for me to go. They are the 2015 Honda Accord or Honda Fit. The thing is that I do not know what to choose. I've kinda made a list of advantages and disadvantages for each one. I've been looking to get either the EX or EX-L trim Accord or the EX-L trim Fit.

Accord
 Pros:
-Faster overall
-Slightly more room for passengers
-More features available
-Overall more refined
-Good gas mileage
 Cons:
-More expensive than a fit
-Smaller storage space

Fit
Pros:
-Bigger storage space (50ish Cubic feet vs 14ish Cubic feet)
-Cheaper than Accord
-Better gas mileage than the Accord
Cons:

-More noise comes

-Slower than Accord

-Less refined

-Less Features available

In the end, "speed" doesn't really matter. All modern cars go as fast as you need them to go, especially since you won't be street racing the silly thing, so scratch that. I like to take roadtrips, so I picked a car that had the best match up of storage space and gas mileage. If you'll be taking it mainly for work, school, around, whatever, gas mileage is a BIG pro. You've got one picked that has stoage AND mileage. Not sure what you mean by "refined", like, classy or something? Classy is nice, but don't forget it's a tool. You've included mileage and storage as things you want to look at, and a less refined dash can be made up for in good use. :)

The noise of the Fit comes from the CVT transmission.  It is a new type of tranny that is supposed to give a smoother shift of gears and save on fuel, however, many of us (who prefer a manual tranny to an automatic) feel it sounds like a clutch constantly slipping.  It can be very annoying.  Personally, if I went with the Fit, I would choose the 6 spd manual over the CVT, but that is me.  If you choose the 6 spd, you will notice the better gas mileage with highway driving.  Driving around town, you won't see much difference, if any at all between standard or automatic.  Plus, you won't have that noise. The Accord comes in 4 cyl and 6 cyl.  6 cyl has more horsepower and goes faster, but doesn't get as good gas mileage.  It has the same storage space however.  Everything is a personal preference and nobody can make that decision for you.  Whatever you decide, I hope you are happy. Honda is good and they stand behind their product. Good luck to you.

I can't drive, but just from reading those specs the Fit seems like a no-brainer to me. Looking on Google images, it looks to be the better looking one, too. The only Accord's Google was showing were sedans though and looked like Grandad cars. Are the models you're talking about both hatchbacks?
