Lizzee Posted January 10, 2015 Posted January 10, 2015 I'm finally at a stage where I'm ready to make The Muffin Directory petpage, updating it from the temporary one I created a couple of years ago. Since creating the page the word 'Grape' has been filtered meaning there are a couple of muffins and descriptions I will no longer be able to mention! I've already had to withdraw some np's to buy the offending muffins on my wishlist so that I could update it again :( My question is - is there a way around this filter? Has anybody got any creative solutions for this, or am I just going to have to exclude anything grape flavoured? (Apologies if this is the wrong section, although there is already a thread listing all the banned words, there was nothing saying how people had got around it!) Duma Posted January 10, 2015 Posted January 10, 2015 I suppose you could describe the grape or try using the name of the item in another language or use the items picture depending on what your layout and intentions are. Lizzee 1 Quote
hrtbrk Posted January 10, 2015 Posted January 10, 2015 Depending how you're listing it (by image or just text)... I think most people are taking a screenshot of the item and uploading in order to display it. I've come across this on several WLs. I really hope they fix it soon because it's super annoying if the word is in their own image url/item title -.- Mouseykins and Lizzee 2 Quote
Lizzee Posted January 10, 2015 Author Posted January 10, 2015 Thank you both so much for the help! Looks like I'm going to go with re uploading the image under a different name and either saying 'glape' or using the word raisin :/ Glad I'm not going to have to completely exclude those items :DReally hope it's something they fix at some point! Mouseykins Posted January 10, 2015 Posted January 10, 2015 Hmm the uploading a screenshot is a good idea. I might have to do that for my wishlist. Thanks for that suggestion hrtbrk! :) Quote
SidtheSnail Posted January 11, 2015 Posted January 11, 2015 Just call it a hydrated raisin muffin :P Quote
ClarityAvast Posted January 15, 2015 Posted January 15, 2015 Wow, this is good information. I had given up trying to post the lists of books needing to be read, and didn't even bother trying posting a list of gourmet foods needing to be fed because it was taking hours to remove all the words that the filters now reject in the book list. Getting a screen image sounds like it would make it a lot more simple. In the case of books needing to be read though, my screen image is going to be huge, or perhaps I can break it up into zillions of smaller sections. :rolleyes_anim: :laughingsmiley: Quote
