Frozen and cannot access account...

Hi there! Apologies if this is in the wrong forum, I checked around and something like this seemed to fit more in either Neopets General or Neopets Help.

 

I was away on vacation for six days in late November and returned on the 26th. Tried logging into my account as usual from the only computer in the house that I access Neopets from once I returned and it tells me the password was wrong. At first I didn't think much of it but when I looked up my account it said it was disabled.. though my pets looked like they were intact and frozen along with the account.

 

I tried resetting my password to log in and see why I was frozen (as I did nothing wrong at all :/) but found that I couldn't log in. Reset my password, wrote in the correct birthday, and it still told me my password was invalid. Sent in a ticket on November 27 but still no reply. Has this happened to anyone else? I'm not sure if there is something going on.

Do you think there's any chance your account was stolen? The fact that when you first tried logging in it said the password was wrong seems like a clue. Perhaps someone accessed your account and changed the password. TNT usually freezes an account if they notice it was hacked (for your protection). Could be something else though.

I thought so too. :( But when I tried resetting my password it still wouldn't let me log in to see why I was disabled in the first place; keeps claiming the password is wrong when I had just reset and changed it. Really worrying, hopefully the wait time for a response to my ticket won't be too long.

I kinda had the same issue when I was getting back into NeoPets - although my AFK-ness was a LOT longer (I'm actually quite surprised they didn't purge my account).

 

I hope it helps, have EVERYTHING on hand about your account. When you customized a pet, NeoFriends, things that only you would know type stuff.

You could always try contacting them on Facebook too, I had a problem last week with my premium not activating on my account and they got back to me I think... 2 days later. It's still a lot quicker than sending a ticket though haha.

Ahh thanks guys! Seeing these replies actually makes me pretty happy since I was worried I wouldn't have a chance at getting it back. But yeah, I sent in a ticket about it on November 27th, should I also email [email protected] or is that the same email they use for checking tickets? And I did message them on Facebook with my ticket number so they'd see it.. but that was around November 27th too haha. Maybe it was due to me trying to access my account from my laptop when I was in the Dominican Republic on a trip. But the wifi was awful and wouldn't load so I gave up eventually. x:

 

And the email I use for Neopets isn't used for anything else (for safety). I've already changed its password/security. [:
