I saw someone on here who lives close to me, has the same interests, and is a funny person. OH YEAH AND IS AN ADULT TOO! totally wanted to find their other posts and chat with them, but they havent been on in months. Ah well

 

Anyone else feel like they are old and out of place for their interests?

Yes and no. The more people confess that they're older (in various different threads on here), the less odd I'm feeling. And on Neopets, I don't think there is anyone on my NF list who is under 20 and most people are over 25 (quite a few of them WELL over 25). So long as I don't stray into threads on the Neoboards where everyone is speaking this specialised Neopets chatspeak that I haven't been able to nut out, then I'm good.

 

EDIT: I'm telling lies again. I went and looked at my NF list and there is ONE person under 20. And she's 19 and my guild leader. I also sent you a NF request while I was at it. :)

Lol, I think the difference is that Neopets isnt hindering my housework. My lack of desire to do housework is hindering my housework. I will let it get pretty messy, but the second it starts to even approach gross, I go into panic clean mode.... Clutter is okay, bad living situation I dont do

It's definitely feels weird to see the internet populated by so many kids -- thirteen and fourteen year olds are everywhere! It seems like just the other day that I was a kid on the internet. Where did the time go?!

No one I know in RL plays this. I'm 25 and I don't mind being an adult neopian. Its my hobby. It keeps me busy when I am bored. Where I live internet companies don;t service my area, so I have to use satellite. I think this is the only reason I'm active every day on Neo, because I cannot access other online games like WoW. But honestly I think this game has more adults then that game hahahah. Its nice.

I'm just 17 and nobody around me plays neopets. They all think it's just for kids and 'not cool'.. I don't care. I actually believe that majority of the ACTIVE Neopians is an adult :)

My boyfriend has a Neopets account, but he made it specifically so we could play some stuff together/ because he saw me playing. We both work full time and laying around goofing off online is kind of our "us" time. He gets bored of it quickly, but he certainly would never get upset at me playing. He teases me about being on the forums though. He says I'm getting dragged into the dangerous world of staying up all night trying to get high scores and selling his kidneys for NC items.

 

I'm 23 and I agree that the few NFs I have are actually adults. XD

I'm pushing 28 on my next birthday and I've been playing Neo at least 5 years. I have all sorts of ages on my NF list, but I heard of a user one time (and please don't ask me her name because I've totally forgotten...) anyway, she was over 70 years old, retired, and unable to do many everyday things, so she used Neopets to keep her mind in good shape. I heard she uses games like Kiko Match to help her retain and strengthen her memory. :)

Ugg, I often feel very Old on NP. I originally joined because my daughter was on it, and I wanted to see what the big deal was. Now we're Both adult neopians! I pretty much keep to myself in neopets though. I go do the dailies, play a few games and restock. Most of my chatting is in here…Kinda sad really when you look at my number of posts.

I didn't even start playing Neo until after I was 40 and I'm 50 now :) I have some brain/medical issues and the doctor said the "mind/puzzle" games were good for me....What a great excuse to play!!

I'm really good at puzzle games, but sometimes my memory can be... selective. I like that some games on Neopets can strengthen one's mind when played on a regular basis.

 

And I'm glad there's a lot of adults on Neo. I get picked on all the time for playing Neo, but it helps me relax, and when I'm relaxed, I'm in a good mood. Me in a good mood = other people in a good mood.

 

I also think the majority of active users are veterans. People who have played consecutively for 5 years or longer. Those who grew up with Neopets!

I was very happy to see old farts like me playing Neopets! Yayyy! I started when I was 37 years old. An older friend of ours plays it, and told me about it. I'm 46 now.

 

I think it's soooo fun to play. I work as a Legal Secretary 40 hours a week and jump on here and Neopets several times a day. It really helps me during the day, when I get totally stressed out.

 

My son, who is 13 now totally makes fun of me playing this. I make fun of him, because he plays Minecraft. :laughingsmiley:

 

I am interested in a lot of different things, and people my age may think I'm crazy, haha! :dance: But I don't care. I'm sticking with Neopets!!!

He has a TON of Legos...and art supplies...oh my goodness, he's always making comics and stop motion videos. He LOVES Minecraft, but I don't get it!
