aih_ocelotl
Greetings.I want to modify my current weaponry set. Since I'm using peri281823 as both my lab pet and my high HP Battledome pet, I'd like to buy a Sword of Lameness for hir. What's your opinion? Please post down here. sumtingwong
Well posting your current weapon set could probably help us to help you
Rune Valentine
Also really depends on what you want to do in the Battledome (1-player battles, 2-player battles), which opponents you might be targetting, etc. Because otherwise you will get some generic answers and a link to our Basic Weapons Sets page Aquamentis12 and Lamppost
aih_ocelotl
Thanks for your replies. I'm most into 1p, but would be open for 2p on either of my other pets, I'll just have to agree on weaponry to keep it balanced. At the moment peri 281823 has:- Purple Sticking Hand- Downsize- Blue Scorchstone (will have to replace it for a percentage healer)- Magical Marbles of Mystery- Ghostkerbomb- Sword of Skarsden (I'm considering replacing it for Kelpbeards Trident)- Hubrid Nox Memorial Shield- Hanso Charisma CharmOn ocelotl02 (My balanced pet) at the moment I have- Downsize- Green Frost Cannon- Brynns Legendary Sword of Wraith Smiting- Mask of Coltzan- Royal Wedding RingWas considering the Sword of Lameness given the 1130 HP of peri281823, I'm also stocking on armoured neggs since is the cheapest way to train defense on her. Most of the training bulk is going at this moment to ocelotl02. Aquamentis12
Aquamentis12
Well, for the Sword of Lameness, it's really a "style" of fighting choice I think. You get 2 decent attacks out of it, a chance to heal and a chance to freeze. With a slight chance of doing nothing at all. If you've got the neopoints free that you can blow on it, and don't mind the risk, you certainly could just buy it and have some fun. ;) Sure there's a chance it won't help you at the right time, but there are several possibilities that just might. ;)
aih_ocelotl
I'm posting to let you know the outcome, specially in the skirmish rounds.Although it is good to have the scorchstone (and Oasis Tonic, btw) and the marbles replaced with a second sword and an extra space to round the set, the randomness makes it not optimal for a boss battle, given the current defense of peri281823.Although I'm in the process of correcting the defense hole, I'm not using the lameness sword currently for opponents rated beyond 300 in the 1p line. It surely comes handy below that level, but seems a bit risky beyond that point. I'm pushing training on my battling pet, having raised it from "6" to "21" in defense (also it is my lab pet, so I've already had to undid some defense losses), and would look forward to make the Lameness sword a fixed set weapon in the foreseeable future (having raised the defense statistic to 85 at minimum, that translates to sometime in January next year or so). Thanks for the advice. Aquamentis12
Sounds like you've got a good plan to raise your pet's defense! Best of luck with it! I hope the lab ray spares more of your defense so you can train it up faster. :)
