Shiny Vulpix
I have an idea that if you put the Storage next to your Workers and Nesters that are all working in one single same spot, you can make them store the resource in the Storage without even having to move! Though, I don't even know if the Storage is really useful xD
marthaclark
I fence off all my storage so workers never actually travel anywhere - they just stay in the spot they were working in. It makes the whole thing a lot less laggy. I also have been saving up excess resources - I paint level 3 storage blue when they are full and put into my inventory, then replace with new ones. I figure that the stuff might be good in the future when they extend the habitarium past level 50, and if not, i guess i still got xp/gems while I was doing it and didn't lose anything. Be careful you don't keep too many- having too many things in your inventory have lead to lock outs. During my last one I got a bit of a reprimand from the TNT member that unlocked me for having too many eggs. :P I also just fence off my storages- I keep 22 of them at the top of the screen, and fence them in with the resources that are there, and my houses. :) Works out well for me! AJ11
There are some really useful guides on the habitarium forum that give brilliant tips One of them is about making sure your workers dont move around which helps with lag, which can be an issue at lvl 50, Its important to make sure that the things you use as fences or blocking dont reduce the amount of gems that spawn- some items/fences etc take up only one gem space others take four ! and ...If you put your storage nests and houses in areas outside of the spawning area you get a LOT more gems..once I realised this I found I was getting much more np per day. lianakos
I am at level 50 and the lag it really bad. Maybe it's because my computer is so old. I find that it help to have a flash quality changer. geoterza
Don't forget, If you've got extra resources you can earn more purple gems by building houses and upgrading them before discarding. It uses up resources so you don't need to store them and it gives you NP faster.
mandichi
That's fantastic! I never thought of doing that, it will be a good way to burn up resources.

Rebecca~
ruh=oh i didn't know that!! i will stop hoarding now..!! I have more than enough as is anyway. If you have more than 10 pages, I would start deleting some- that's about how many pages of eggs I was told should be my maximum. :) I used the flash quality render thing as well, and it works really well for me! On my old computer Habi barely could run normally, and putting Neo to low quality was life changing. My new computer can more than handle it normally, but I still like having it on low quality- I've just gotten used to the way it looks. Thank you for the heads up :)

Rebecca~
Wait, does this mean that there is a maximum amount of resources a storage can hold? Yes. It depends on what 'level' your storage is- a starter one can hold 2500 of each resource. Level 2, 3500, and level 3, 4500. When you click on a storage, you'll get a notice of how much of each resource is in it- if it's at its maximum the numbers will be red. You can level up buildings as a perk while gaining levels in the game. When you click on a building you can see a little green arrow in the centre panel under the name of the building. Pressing that will bring you to a screen that shows you how much it will cost to upgrade.

missmadiemay
How many NPs do you all on max typically get if you leave it running overnight? A few guides I've read said you can earn 80-100k a day by leaving it running, but I have found that overnight for about 8 hours I only get about 20k when collecting all the gems. My storage units are not full and the workers are still gathering. Some are sleepy of course, but most haven't croaked just yet. Was this amount maybe a 24 hour full day average? I just want to make sure I am doing everything efficiently to get the most NPs out of it.
blueberrykiwi141
For me to earn the most that I can this is what I do... I have my pets only collect wood, stone, and mud. Then I purchase nests and make then (you get 200xp for each new one you make) then I upgrade it either once or twice. For every upgrade you get 300xp. I purchase and make the nests, since they are the 'cheapest'. Once they are upgraded I then move them back into my bag and delete them. I know they are the ones that are already made because they are outlined in a different color than the ones that are not made. This is how I help MAX the NPs I make daily. I would say I make about 40K, from my Habi daily, give or take 5 to 10K depending on how long I leave it open and how many nests I make in a day. You do not want to keep your Habi open for too long, because you can lock your screen if you have too many gems on your screen. I have done it, it is not fun to start from scratch!!! Hope this helps whoever is working on their Habi. Let me know if you have any other questions :) missmadiemay
missmadiemay
That seems like a more achievable figure. When you say start from scratch, I hope you don't mean starting at level one again???
blueberrykiwi141
Yes, level 1... I left mine open too long and the purple gems had no where else to go, so it locked up. I had to do the merge method to unlock it and then start from scratch ... (well the things in your bag are still there, so that was nice because I had eggs to get rid of and storages I could make, but it still took a bit to get up to level 50 again!! AJ11
My fav tip for habi is to get those gems either red or purple that get behind things and you cant click easily press the + to magnify then the - to reduce again then press tab key that will take the cursor to any hidden gem on the field and you can press enter to click the gem then just tab over and over until the cursor square goes to your bag - then you know the gems are all collected Its especially good when all the p3s are in the way etc siniri, Rebecca~ and missmadiemay

I think that's a 24 hour average. :) I tend to get between 30-40k when I collect my gems in the morning, and since I'm available all day to check on them, I can rest them when they get sleepy, and not lose any time, so I do tend to make 100k a day off of it. Being able to get 100k after only 8 hours would be nice though. ;3 In order to maxamise your profits, you should have a lot more workers than nesters or soldiers. I only have 2 soldiers, and between 4 and 6 nesters, depending on how many eggs I have stored, and the rest all workers- maybe you have more soldiers or nesters, and that's why you only get 20k? missmadiemay
Blueberry -Oh my gosh I had no idea it did that. Thanks for the warning! Rebecca - I'm not sure. I think I have around 6 nesters (just because I am trying to harvest more workers, a lot of mine have died lately), and 3 soldiers. Would those few make a big difference? That leaves 37 workers. I have them all boxed in to avoid as much lag as possible. I also make nests, level them up, and delete them for more XP as Blueberry suggested. I don't keep many resources - 1 page of full storage units on hand max as overnight I always get more (plus my computer at home is not nearly as fast as work), and around 5-6 pages of eggs. Maybe it was just a tired evening for my workers before the morning I actually counted? haha.

The 3 additional workers I have shouldn't account for that big of a difference. Maybe! lol. I know that sometimes Neo will glitch, and won't count experience/award gems- there have been a number of mornings where I only get 3-5k, which is always disappointing. Maybe that happened the night you counted?
Duma
I also sometimes leave it open for the night, but never when I'm away for a long time. If I stay at home all day I make about 100k sometimes 150k, depending on how often I look at it. (discard eggs on time, get them to rest on time, switch the storages etc) I have 6 soldiers and 6 nesters. The rest are all workers (11 of each kind so 33 workers). I buy storages, upgrade them to level 3, let them get filled up and delete them and buy new ones again. I have 4 storages on the field, I switch them by 2. Every group of petpetpets has access to 2 recourses. (They can gather through something, if you have them like: ppp-item-grass they can still gather the grass) I have 3 solders running around and 3 in the house to switch them when they are tired. The nesters is to have eggs ready when some petpetpets die. (plus every discarded egg is another 200 xp) If I left it running, I collect all the gems first, let it get an "update" then refresh the page to collect gems that weren't visible at first. Refresh again to make sure all gems are gone, then I know it's safe and all the spots are available again. I also make sure they are well rested before I leave them running a while, so they can gather as long as possible. My storages are usually filled up when I wake up, so i can put them to sleep, replace 2 of my storages, let them get build by soldiers, upgrade them, by then the workers have rested and can go to work again.
