blaisezabini
Hello and welcome, everybody! This is Matt reporting to you live from the newsroom with my co-anchor Katie! Austin might be a bit late. He said something about going on a date with his rock? Don't worry, I'll make sure he takes his medication. Anyways, let's get on with yesterday's results! I have here the results from the Alabriss bracket. Let's get started! Shenkuu and Kiko Lake faced off yesterday, and after their recent victory against Meridell, the Kikos were looking to get some more victories on their record - and that's exactly what they did. The Kikos were able to take control of the whole game, not once easing up on the pressure. They were able to win Yooyuball with a score of five to four. The victory propelled the Kikos to also side sweep the Ninjas, resulting in a clean sweep against Shenkuu. The Kikos seem to be gaining energy once again - we'll see if they can keep up these wins! Our second matchup from this bracket was Terror Mountain versus Virtupets. Terror Mountain, or the Scary Terrors, as Austin likes to call them, were able to win Yooyuball against the Robots. They were also able to snag every side game, resulting in yet another sweep. The "Scary Terrors" look like they're gaining momentum. They've had a lot of success in this round so far, but despite that, they are still ranked in the middle of their bracket. For our last matchup of this bracket, and one anticipated by many, we had Maraqua and Meridell go head-to-head. Surprisingly, Maraqua was able to dominate most of the match, and Meridell wasn't able to make much of a comeback, only scoring a few goals to end the game with a score of six to five. This unexpected victory motivated the Mermaids' fans to fill the stadium with their cheers, completely drowning out the Knights' supporters. The Knights weren't ready to give up however, as they took victories in Slushie Slinger and Shootout Showdown. Unlike the Scary Terrors, Meridell seems to be losing steam. It's not a good time to do that however, as today is the last day of actual gameplay before we receive new brackets. We're more than halfway done with the competition, and it is crucial that Meridell regains their energy or else they will fall. Now let's turn this over to my co-anchor Katie!Thank you for your enthralling report, Matt! This is your co-anchor, Katie, with the latest details from the Minitheus bracket. Well! Isn't this astonishing? All three brackets had two sweeps each yesterday, and the Minitheus bracket is no exception! Altador and Roo Island scored clean sweeps against Kreludor and Brightvale, respectively. The Haunted Woods and Darigan Citadel split the match-up with two wins each: Darigan Citadel snagged Yooyuball and Shootout Showdown, while the Zombies took Slushie Slinger and Make Some Noise. Altador and Roo Island did exceptionally well yesterday, sweeping their opponents by comfortable margins. The Suns especially destroyed the Moons in all four games, turning night into day with their victories. Though the third round marked the end of Altador's undefeated streaks in Slushie Slinger and Shootout Showdown, the losses have done little to damage their morale, and their Yooyuball and Make Some Noise performances remain impeccable.Roo Island bounced back from their near-sweep by the Suns in order to sweep Brightvale. The Rooligans continued to show their Shootout Showdown prowess with a four-point margin over the Wizards, and with only one loss the entire tournament, they seem determined to keep that column in the green. Despite the losses for both teams, it looks like they will finish the round strong. The position of most exciting match-up in the Minitheus bracket goes to the clash between Teams Haunted Woods and Darigan Citadel. Longtime rivals Layton Vickles, of Darigan Citadel fame, and the Zombies' hardened captain Krell Vitor led their teams on a series of fierce scoring campaigns on the Yooyuball field. The score remained even for most of the match, but Tandrak Shaye outsmarted the Haunted Woods' goalkeeper, Fanetti, and was responsible for lifting the Minions to victory. The Haunted Woods, however, struck back and took Slushie Slinger and Make Some Noise. Morale for both teams seem to have improved during yesterday's match, as both teams altogether fared well. The former champions have regained some of their confidence, but will it be enough to last through the second half of the tournament? That's all we have for the Alabriss and Minitheus brackets here in the newsroom. Since our... hang on, we're getting word now that our field reporter, Austin, is available for his segment. Let's go live to Austin for the results of the Vaeolus bracket before he's sedated... again. Hey, everyone, it's Austin reporting live from the slushie stands. My apologies for being late today. Rock and I went out for slushies and Livvy was there. She killed rock and is my camerawoman again. We ended up making up over slushies and both got major brain freezes.Livvy: You were carrying a fffrickin' rock. I did not kill it. For the record. You smashed her!Livvy: Nope, that doesn't count! It's not on the record! Lalalalalala...It doesn't matter anymore. She's dead. And I'm stuck with you again.Livvy: You know you like it better this way.[Livvy sticks out her tongue like a mature adult.]Rock was good to me. All fighting aside, I have yesterday's results from the Vaeolus Bracket. The Dinosaur things swept the Missing Desert. The Dinos pulled off another great victory to remain undefeated in the tournament. The Missings couldn't get close enough to pull off a win, though they still sit in third place in the bracket. Tyrannia looks to be the clear front runner right now, but we know how things change. With new brackets popping up soon, we could see Tyrannia potentially falter. If Tyrannia continues their high scores though, we could see them on the top of the podium at the end of the tournament. Faerieland was able to take their third Yooyuball win in the tournament, although their opponents Mystery Island pulled off their most impressive performance of the year by taking all three side games. Though Mystery Island isn't performing up to expectations, they are currently sitting in fourth in their bracket, which should earn them some very much needed points. If Mystery Island can gain momentum off of the wins they just pulled, they may be able to bring themselves out of the cellar. We'll see how things unfold with both of these teams, as there are still a lot of games to be played. The scary pirate things swept the Volcanos. The Volcanos spit as much lava as they could but still couldn't put a dent in Krawk Island's scores. The scary pirate thin-Livvy: Oh my Coltzan, you're doing the thing again. The thing where you sound dumb. They're just Pirates. That's their name. And the Moltarans are Magmas. You're not my mom!Livvy: No, I'm your Onethirds! Brat!I AM NOT A BRAT!Livvy: Yes you are! You're the worst brat! You might even be... bratwurst! [Double snaps.] Hehehe! That was a terrible pun. You are the bratWORST at puns.Livvy: Ehehehehe, have you ever read your puns, Twothirds? They are terrible. And wonderful. Wonderterrible. …oh my gosh, this brainfreeze is ridiculous.I AM wonderful. Wonderfully d- *THWACK* Uh... the Pirates have swept every single team they have played in this bracket so far, and will look to keep their streak alive as we near the end of bracket play. The Magmas, on the other hand, will try to reverse their fortunes. Moltara has only won two games total in the bracket so far. We'll see how these two teams fare as the third bracket comes to an end.And because I have a bone to pick with Livvy, I'll wrap this up. I'll send it to you, Matt. Stay classy, Austin. Thanks Austin... and Livvy! I hope you and Livvy sort out your, errrr... problems. Let's take a look at the matches to watch for today!Darigan Citadel and Brightvale will once again be facing each other, and after Brightvale's upset the other day, you can expect the Citadel to be looking for revenge. We'll see if they are able to defeat the Wizard's magic, or if there will be a repeat. For our last match to watch we have Terror Mountain versus Meridell. After their sweep yesterday, Terror Mountain will be looking to further their success with some victories against the Knights, while Meridell will be looking to get back on their feet and defeat the Scary Terrors. That's all we have for today! If you'll excuse me, I should head over to the Slushie Stand and separate Austin and Livvy before they harm each other! KrappyBob
Faerieland made strong showings? They got side swept by Mystery Island and only won two games so far in this bracket.

siniri
Me too, Finn -- but only if actually beating them can actually make them change ranks. Results don't seem to have any effect on bracket rankings (or across-bracket rankings) -- just look at TM's third in its bracket (and Tyrannia still being second despite being the only undefeated team). If TNT sets the next bracket to be the only teams we haven't played against (plus Altador, of course): 1. Altador 2. Tyrannia 3. Meridell 4. KI 5. RI 6. Kiko Lake and we can't budge out of 5th place in the bracket, no matter how we actually perform... then we could fall behind Darigan, Maraqua, and even Kreludor. Heck, since the points per bracket keep going up, we could fall even farther. I really don't understand this system at all. But I'm going to keep playing my heart out for RI to show that we deserve to be ranked high, and to prove how unjust this system is. It's not too late for TNT to check that it's working and tweak it to actually reflect the actual results of the tournament.

siniri
Oh, I'd give us 55-45 or even 60-40 against KI. We've done better against most teams than they have. Of course, they'll be bringing it double barrels against us, but so will we against them. I don't think we'll sweep, but I think we can definitely take 2, and 3 if we really stretch. We can sweep Meridell, I think. It's just a question of whether beating them will affect the rankings.

AgJu
I'm scared to see the results for today. I really don't want this to be the beginning of the end for TM. If Neopets is cracking down on cheaters though, shouldn't TY's scores be coming down too?
voteforpedro333
When I read the 'Missings' I thought it said Missingno and then I imagined it trying to play yooyuball. I hope we don't get any bad glitches soon.
