Dcoolb Posted March 28, 2013 Posted March 28, 2013 I was wondering if anyone knew how to upgrade the weak bottled faeries. I know it is possible, because when I looked at the image link, I noticed this: https://images.neopets.com/items/bd_botfae1_earth.gif https://images.neopets.com/items/bd_botfae2_earth.gif So if anyone knows how to upgrade them, that would be great! Thank you! Quote
deadninja6 Posted March 28, 2013 Posted March 28, 2013 I'm pretty sure the second rank of bottled faeries aren't circulating yet. Quote
lovedwallflower Posted March 28, 2013 Posted March 28, 2013 what would the upgrade do anyway? give you 2 points? :S Quote

Rebecca~ Posted March 28, 2013 Posted March 28, 2013 what would the upgrade do anyway? give you 2 points? :S The Weak ones already give one or two points randomly- I expect the stronger ones will give 3 or 4. Anime and Lamppost 2 Quote
Koralis Posted March 28, 2013 Posted March 28, 2013 Like deadninja said, I don't believe you can buy or make upgraded faeries yet. I would suspect once that option is released though you could take 2 or 3 weak bottled faeries to the cooking pot or something to upgrade them to an average bottled faerie, or buy them from the magic shop/win in battle. ~Xandria 1 Quote
Rune Valentine Posted March 29, 2013 Posted March 29, 2013 Maybe they just have it hanging there for when they release it. It'd probably will be through the cooking pot (because they'd be too lazy to introduce a new system to upgrade bottled faeries :P) and you'd probably be able to restock them like the current bottled faeries. Although I don't see why they'd want upgraded faeries, unless they're putting a bigger point system into faerie abilities, because at the moment, current bottled faeries aren't of much use after getting the abilities. andaraen Posted March 29, 2013 Posted March 29, 2013 Maybe they'll just have them stock at the Magic Shop. *shrugs* Although I don't see why they'd want upgraded faeries, unless they're putting a bigger point system into faerie abilities, because at the moment, current bottled faeries aren't of much use after getting the abilities. My guess is they might add more abilities, make switching abilities a good strategy (there HAS to be a reason it's half cost to change to a different ability in a given tier, or make it possible to purchase items/services with the blessing. (Full heal anyone?) Quote
Finn the Human Posted March 30, 2013 Posted March 30, 2013 I'm pretty sure they will stock at magic and be expensive when they first release and the demand will be high and the supply low. Quote
~Xandria Posted March 31, 2013 Posted March 31, 2013 Well, I hope so. I was able to make 90k each off of every light faeried bottle I got when they were first released! :) Now they cost about 4.5k. Good timing! :D Quote
Ninth Posted April 1, 2013 Posted April 1, 2013 I'm hoping for more abilities, but I doubt it. I think some are over powered (Lens Flare for the mere level 50) and it's wicked unbalanced. I mean, who's going to choose Throw Pillows over Lens Flare? Same ability, same tier, one's just once a day and the other once per battle. I dunno why TNT did that, and Warlock's Rage is the same as Lens Flare (not that I'm complaining, I like having both, but it'd be nice for Warlock's Rage be slightly different, like maybe an extra perk like extra damage % while disabling the opponent.) I don't get why the level 500 abilities are so subpar compared to some lower level tiers as well. Quote
Koralis Posted April 1, 2013 Posted April 1, 2013 Maybe they'll put a limit on how many times you'll be able to use the ability. So instead of just learning it once and your pet has it forever, once your pet learns it they'll only be able to use it 50 times before they need to learn it again. I can't really see them changing the system that much now that it's been released, but it'd be a good way to keep bottled faeries useful. Quote
