Opinion on a higher-end set please

Now the part that has me a bit unsure is Gshield/Ftab. Any other shield combo that is better? Ftab has helped quite a bit in 1-P... but is HNMS better? Should I switch Gshield for HCC? Any other weapons I am missing? Thanks!

Woah! Killer set man!

My only HT item is the G-bomb. lol So I don't have a lot of experince with the HT items. But from what I am seeing in your set, it's quite impressive. I'm especially awed in seeing a T.Tear and LEV. LOL Seems like I'm always several years behind being able to afford either. lol

 

I don't know if you'd find this better or not. but if you use Shield of Faerieland and Dr. Sloths Personal Body Armor you can block all Light and Air, and a chunk of all the other elements.

 

If you've got the NP burning a hole in your pocket, you could always buy them and rotate them into your set based on the opponent you are fighting. ;)

A number of Cove items are there. Most are drool-worthy. lol

During various battles, I have been destroyed by Grapes of Wrath and Sword of White Lies. I know that pirates cove items are beyond the means of most honest players, but some of those weapons are unbelievable. Ftab is my particular Nemesis, as I only have the resources for KBT.

 

Ahem, the only item we share between our sets is MMoM, which outside of the Skull.,., LOL, I managed to snatch the skull away with a purple sticky hand during the current war. I suspect that will be the only time ever get to use it.

 

Speaking of which, Heavy Robe of Th can be a real game changer.

With your FTab/GShield, you have all icon types covered. Your weak point is light, which FTab misses and GShield only blocks only 3 icons. If you want to keep FTab, GShield is probably the best filler because HNMS blocks light but not any dark, which are the two types missed by FTab. If you want to keep the GShield, FTab is probably best because it's the only one that blocks both water and fire.

 

Ergo, I think FTab/GShield is a good combo. In fact, I think it's better than Shield of Faerieland/DSPBA because that combo leaves you two weak points of water and earth, where DSPBA only blocks 3 of each.

 

If you want to beef up your light defense, you could go for HNMS or just pick up a Parasol of Unfortunate Demise.

Yeah it is! I've been experimenting with a Heavy Robe on the 5th wave, Also got the Moehog Skull a couple of times. Probably the ONLY time I'll ever get to use one. LOL It's kind of like, a neat little way to test drive a rare item before or without having to buy it. ;)

HRoT is a good suggestion. I may equip it if I am up against a challenger that has something worth stealing. The randomness of stealing items can be a blessing our a curse.

 

Lamppost I agree that Tabard and Gshield need to go together, and HNMS doesn't really pair well with either shield due to overlap. In fact dark is the only icon that gshield covers and HNMS doesn't... might as well get HCC in that case. I think I can simply get a parasol, like you said, if I am up against light-heavy 1-P opponents. For the rest of the time I'll sport the above set, which seems to be useful in most situations (and maybe 2-P?).

Actually I think I should work really hard and save for a K-Lens because I just realized that K-lens and Ftab will also cover all icons... with light/earth/dark being reflected back 50%
