Angeló
I've had Vista since 2008 .. however I bought a new HDD for my laptop yesterday and my friend told me to install Seven on it ... several people claim Seven is much better ... what do you guys think ?? (oh and please don't tell me macintosh or linux etc ... i have only these two choices) :)
SidtheSnail
Seven is Miles better than Vista. I would honestly say that Windows Vista is the WORST thing Microsoft has ever put out. If you are really adventurous you can try and get a copy of Windows 8, I hear its phenomenal. Angeló and Mouseykins
hrtbrk
Windows 7 without any questions. Bury Vista 6 feet under. *dusts off hands* End of thread :P Mouseykins, Angeló and Spritzie
Viridian
Or 8, these days.... However, I have not taken that step yet. But yes. Windows 7, definitely. Microsoft even apologized for Windows Vista, stating it was an unfinished Windows 7. Angeló
The Bandit
Seven. No Question. Miles better. Eight is good for tablets, not quite so good if it's a not a touchscreen... Angeló
Angeló
yes I have read that 8 is more specific for tabs and touch-screens very well , tomorrow Vista is going to Data Heaven and welcome Win 7 :)
Nimphal
A very wise decision! Windows 7 is actually pretty good and even my linux-savvi boyfriend admits they have gotten it right this time (though not without pointing our linux had it right ages ago :D). There is no room for comparison between Vista and 7 since only 7 actually works :D Angeló
Dragons
I never knew Vista is so bad o_O I'm using it right now :O
rachiee
I've never used Seven, but since I'm an ex-Vista user who racked up quite the laundry list of problems in 3 years of using Vista, I would definitely say Seven. Angeló
Angeló
I installed seven x64 and it worked fine ..... but today i removed it and installed seven x32 bcz my friend told me my machine is x32 anyway i'm in love with seven already :D
Lovelia
You will feel, while you are using it. It is much betterthan Vista. I have been using it Windows 7 and it is the best OS from Microsoft.
DeTrollBoy
I think that seven is best out of those two, but get Eight if possible.
Mokona
Seven over Vista any day! I have 8 on my ultrabook (has a touch screen) and yeah it's optimized mostly for touch screen devices. Only thing I dislike about it is how there is no start button on the desktop..
Chelie
It is obvious, no one is using Vista. I switched to windows 7 long time back. You should change it.
