Now that I'll never sleep, I'll probably reach Allstar.

Recommended Posts

So, I was 6 games away from rank 2 so I decided to get in those last games before I went to bed. As I was in the middle of my 5th game, I felt something crawl on my face. Normally, that feeling is just a stray piece of my hair brushing against my face, so I tried not to freak out too much...but when I looked up, I saw that it was a roach that had been crawling on me. On my skin. On my FACE! I got up in the middle of the game, eerily calm, went to get my shoe, and beat it to death while trying not to cry. I still won the YYB match 11-2, and I got my last game in to be rank 2...but now that I know I'll never be sleeping again, I might as well aim for Allstar rank. Or perhaps even TDN's rank 40! *shudders and twitches*

lol...I know if I didn't need to sleep I'd spend my time playing the Altador Cup. :D

Oh dear lord. D: Now I may not sleep either. -shudders-

I am so sorry that happened! But yay for looking at the positive side? o_O

Oh, roaches in your personal space are the worst. I had the biggest one I've ever seen two inches from my face on my pillow the other day. I burst into tears and called my mother. By the time I came back it was gone so it might still be roaming my room.

At least you have a bright side. Yay for all star? :D

I know (think) there isn't anything there now but I can't help but have this creepy crawly feeling like another one is gonna be crawling on my leg or arm any moment. And to think, I had just gotten a nice, normal sleep schedule.

Ech, I know I wouldn't be sleeping either. I'd probably also go find a different place to sleep for a few days :P Typically I don't mind creepy-crawleys if I can see them, but finding a roach on your face? That sounds horrifying.

I want to move away forever. Go to Canada, never look back. Try to forget my trauma.

That may be a good plan. I've never seen a cockroach! I imagine we have them, but I have never seen one. :D

(However, we do have big spiders. Those have been in my bed before. D: So we aren't free of things that will be nightmare fodder for the rest of your life)

Lucky! Never seen a roach...I wish I could say that. Surprisingly, I haaaaaaate some bugs, but I'm fine with spiders. Sometimes I'll just let them live in my house if they're not anywhere conspicious, like over my bed or in my bathroom. Other times, I'll just capture them and let them out. Ants don't bother me either. It's just roaches and flying bugs that make me wanna never sleep again.

Wow, really? If I see a spider anywhere, any size, I either put a cup or something over it until my girlfriend can rescue me, or drop a heavy book on it, or just start yelling for her. XD

I'm so lucky that she's so spectacularily awesome and doesn't mind dealing with horrible, horrible spiders for me.

I'm quite terribly arachnephobic. :(

Yeah, cockroaches just don't seem to be common here. Or maybe I'm just suuuuuuper lucky, heh.

I don't think I've ever seen a roach either! On the other hand I did wake up a couple of nights ago to find a wasp on my forehead...this was very very freaky particularly as I'm allergic to the darn things...

First, and foremost, ewww. :sad02: I hate bugs, of any type, pretty much more than anything in life. I'm glad to know I'm not the only one nearly traumatized by them. (If I found a spider in my room when I was younger, and it disappeared by the time I got my dad, I didn't sleep in my room for a few days.)

But that's definitely a good way to keep awake and get some games played. :D Congrats on rank 2 and keep it up!

Speaking of spider fears, a girl who lives down the street from me actually came to my house the other night and asked for help killing a spider. Granted, it was pretty big, but it was in her garage, not the house. :P My mother lifted the hose it had crawled under and I whacked it with a flip-flop. It was actually pretty cathartic, considering I used to be afraid of spiders as well!

Good for you! :D I wish I had someone down the street from me before my girlfriend to help with awful spiders.

Heh, garage spiders can be just as scary! I once used an umbrella in my garage to keep one from falling from the ceiling into my hair.

When I lived in my old house, because it was pretty big, whenever I'd see an unpleasant creepy crawly, I'd go sleep in the family room for a few days. Haha. And the only spiders I'm afraid of are the ones you don't know are there...until of course they inevitably fall in front of you. And I hate going into garages because I'm terrified of finding a brown recluse in there. If you don't know what those things can do to you...you probably don't wanna know.

Thank goodness I'm living in a place where roaches aren't too usual and have never seen one myself (the dead one exhibited with other bugs in the museum doesn't count). The worst I ever had were a big brown beetle (nearly roach-like but smaller, slower and easier to kill) and a big spider (that was too fast to kill and thank goodness I didn't have to sleep in that room).

But seriously, if I saw a roach in my room I also would be too afraid to go to sleep for the next few weeks or even months to go.
