I saw someone say that we would have to wait for the 5th pet, you know like how long you had premium, but not sure if that was fact, or something they were assuming! I'm exactly the same position, both my accounts are full, and I just want to swap two pets, and can't do it without pounding one, I really need that 5th pet LOL

You could use a pet-for-pet transfer. Just go to the Transfer place and transfer one of your pets to another account, and then something will ask you if you'd like to exchange 1-for-1 pets. Click yes.

Oooooh I did not know you could do that!!! :O :O :O OMGeee I'm so excited now! I haven't done many transfers, well not since the horrible days of having to go through the pound, oh my word that used to be nerve wracking!
