What are "Premium Alias's"?

Is a Neopets Premium alias like an extra account you can only acess on premium because I recently went to a lookup where a person had a premium alias. It was a different user name and it looked like that they didn't have the same pets on their other account. They also had one main and 4 sides.

Is this is well as having it on your main or is it one account only?

The account you sign on to premium is your "main account" (naturally you'd do this on your main) and selecting an "alias" means you add one of your side accounts that will have the same premium functions on it like the premium portal, charter boards, etc. So you get two separate accounts with premium: one main and one side.

Of course the alias is still a side, you can't make any np on it! (just thought i'd point that out. :) ) And it counts as one of your sdes. So if that person has a main, alias and 4 sides, they are doing something they are not supposed to do.
