I just like her lyrics. She writes her songs well. To me, the lyrics are just as important as the sound of the music. If you have one without the other, I can't enjoy it. For example, like most of the songs on Nickelback's Dark Horse CD.

The Fray is good. I enjoy their stuff. Lyrics are another reason John Mayer and Brendan James are favorites of mine.

JB, Brendan James is a solo piano player. He's categorized as "Folk" He's amazing. And John Mayer is a solo guitar player.

Though the lines blur with both. Brendan James had a drummer, guitar, and bass player when I saw him. And John Mayer has a full band he tours with.
