-Ryan Posted September 6, 2010 Posted September 6, 2010 No CAV, it's best that you settle down a bit and stop argueing. Quote
jumpingbeans Posted September 6, 2010 Posted September 6, 2010 CAV, FORGET about it. Please. For both of us. And no wonder I've never heard of Machete. My mom barely lets me watch PG13. Quote
IrishLiz Posted September 6, 2010 Posted September 6, 2010 Well, I got to the point where I had long practices for tennis if I wanted to continue, and time-wise I couldn't do that with lessons and orchestra and practicing violin, etc. after school. You don't have to leave. I just think that most people here don't want to have arguments here. Quote
jumpingbeans Posted September 6, 2010 Posted September 6, 2010 Yeah, CAV, stop arguing, and stay.Please. And IrishLiz, you should of found time. Tennis is fun. Though I understand if you didn't have time. Quote
-Ryan Posted September 6, 2010 Posted September 6, 2010 Now can we have that butterfly discussion? Quote
jumpingbeans Posted September 6, 2010 Posted September 6, 2010 Sure! Butterflies come in lots of different colors, come from worms, and are insects... That's all I know. Quote
CAV of Gang Green Posted September 6, 2010 Posted September 6, 2010 No CAV, it's best that you settle down a bit and stop argueing. You don't have to leave. I just think that most people here don't want to have arguments here. It's funny because I'M NOT EVEN THE ONE WHO STARTED THIS WHOLE ARGUEMENT. Jhon did. Quote
IrishLiz Posted September 6, 2010 Posted September 6, 2010 Yeah I'd like to play tennis again, but now I have some shoulder problems, so I don't know how well it would work out. EDIT: Oh and butterflies are awesome! We have a butterfly exhibit at the gardens here every year, and it's tons of fun to enter and hang out with all the butterflies. Quote
jumpingbeans Posted September 6, 2010 Posted September 6, 2010 We have a butterfly exhibit at our history and science museum. CAV, we don't care who started the argument, we care about who's continuing it. Quote
CAV of Gang Green Posted September 6, 2010 Posted September 6, 2010 CAV, we don't care who started the argument, we care about who's continuing it. Of course. It doesn't matter who starts it or anything. It just matters that I'm the one in it. I'm always wrong. Whatever I do is wrong, whatever I say is wrong. And I guess my video will be wrong too? Quote
IrishLiz Posted September 6, 2010 Posted September 6, 2010 What's this video that you keep talking about? Quote
jumpingbeans Posted September 6, 2010 Posted September 6, 2010 CAV, I should of rephrased it: We don't care much who started it. We just care that someone's continuing it. We really want you to stop bringing up the argument. And everything you do is not wrong. Quote
Unstream Posted September 6, 2010 Posted September 6, 2010 I think butterflies are cool in the sense that they go through metamorphosis. Do moths do the same thing? Quote
livvy Posted September 6, 2010 Posted September 6, 2010 Yep, they do. Moths are just less-pretty butterflies. Though I've seen some really pretty moths. My fascinating facts about butterflies: The French word for butterflies is "papillon," which is a breed of dog. So when my friend was telling me in French that her cat likes to chase and bring home butterflies, I was temporarily under the impression that her cat routinely brought home Papillons. :P Quote
Divya Bean Posted September 6, 2010 Posted September 6, 2010 2 pages back, people were discussing a Divya Bean law that Divya Bean did not make up and Divya Bean was not even online. Divya Bean feels loved. :laughingsmiley: Lol livvy! What is a papillon (the dog)? Never heard of them.... Quote
livvy Posted September 6, 2010 Posted September 6, 2010 They're little dogs with big ears that kind of look like butterflies... That's a Papillon. :) Quote
Divya Bean Posted September 6, 2010 Posted September 6, 2010 Awwww isnt it a cutie! They do kinda look like butterflies...and I have seen Papillons as most rich people's dogs... Quote
livvy Posted September 6, 2010 Posted September 6, 2010 Papillons are historically associated with the upper class. Purebred Papillons are still pretty expensive. Quote
jumpingbeans Posted September 6, 2010 Posted September 6, 2010 Yeah... Still, Papillons are butterflies and dogs. Talk about mixed personalities! :) Quote
IrishLiz Posted September 6, 2010 Posted September 6, 2010 haha that's funny about the dogs. I took french too so I always thing of the butterflies first. :) Has anyone here read Le Petit Prince, in French or translated as The Little Prince? He talks about papillons in that book. Quote
Divya Bean Posted September 6, 2010 Posted September 6, 2010 No wonder...that is why London Tipton owns one! I think... The Little Prince? Sounds familiar... Quote
jumpingbeans Posted September 6, 2010 Posted September 6, 2010 No. It sounds like a good book, though. And I learned it in French, so I'd feel odd if somebody told me a pappillon was chasing a cat :) Quote
Divya Bean Posted September 6, 2010 Posted September 6, 2010 I just read that "Papillons are generally considered to be aristocratic, graceful, and calm dogs." Quote
IrishLiz Posted September 6, 2010 Posted September 6, 2010 It's a cute kid's book. We read it in my French class in high school. It's full of imagination. Plus there are some good quotes/things to think about when it comes to life in general. Quote
jumpingbeans Posted September 6, 2010 Posted September 6, 2010 I just read that Papillons are also called the Continental Toy Spaniels Yeah Wiki! Quote
