Spritzie
Just closer to work. I have to drive 30 minutes to get to work, and home. It's just too far. When my friend asked me to go in 2003, I said no. But she had an extra ticket, so I ended up going. And I became addicted. It became a yearly tradition for the 4 of us, though it slowly went down to me going with my dad, or other friends.

Divya Bean
Ohhh. I thought that you were moving to another state or something! And thats nice. I never really go to concerts. I am not sure why...
Spritzie
My mom's health is too bad to leave. My dad has been working really long hours, and other than me, the closest family is 2 hours away. Pretty much, John Mayer is all I've gone to in the last few years. Though if Brendan James, Colbie Caillat, or Jason Mraz come by any time when I can go, I would definitely go. CAV of Gang Green
Now how does Justin Beiber become so huge when there are people like this girl? http://www.youtube.com/user/miaarose Dang. :O Awsome voice, much better than Justin Beiber, but you don't see her everywhere you go like you do with him. =/ Another good person you don't hear much about is Hayley Westerna. She helped create the soundtrack for Endless Ocean.
Divya Bean
Spritzie - That is awful! I am so sorry. :sad01_anim: I love all three of them and I would be SO happy to be able to go to one of their concerts! And CAV, that was a really nice song! jumpingbeans
CAV, that was a really good song. And Spritzie, I'm sorry about you're mom :( What bands are you talking about?
Spritzie
She just has a lot going on now, bad knees, on oxygen 24/7, she uses a walker at home now, bad hips, diabetes, she has a pre-cancerous tumor on her femur. I want to be close by. Like, I get books for her from the library, and I'll drop them by after work, sit and have a chai with her. She's been kinda lonely since Dad's been in Alaska. (But she won't admit it.) They're amazing. I've seen Colbie a couple times. She was on the first cruise. Then she opened for John Mayer the following year. She's amazing. I love her voice. I missed Jason Mraz twice. The year JM and Colbie were at the Mile High Music Festival (It's a 2 day thing), Jason Mraz was there Saturday. I didn't realize it, so I got tickets for Sunday, for JM. Divya Bean
Oh my goodness! That sounds terrible! But you are really sweet to be doing those things for her. ^_^ You have been to so many cool concerts! I is jealous!
livvy
@Spritzie: Panera? Gosh, you really are me but older! Also, I'll be praying for your mother, if that's okay. :( Mia Rose is really good. I just watched the music video for Let Go, and it's every bit as amazing as normal professional music videos. Wow.
CAV of Gang Green
Oh crap I didn't notice Sprizie's post. I feel so terrible now. I am so sorry.
jumpingbeans
Why can't we talk about lions or something. I have no idea what's going on. :eh:
Divya Bean
Mia Rose is so good. I agree with livvy that her music videos are so professional! She should be the new Justin Bieber.
Spritzie
Oh my goodness! That sounds terrible! But you are really sweet to be doing those things for her. ^_^ You have been to so many cool concerts! I is jealous! Mom and I were always close. We'd go shopping all the time. Driving 2 hours, just to go to the mall. :laughingsmiley: I've been trying to go spend Wednesdays with her, since I get off work at 1. @Spritzie: Panera? Gosh, you really are me but older! Also, I'll be praying for your mother, if that's okay. :( I love Paneras. It's an addiction. We go there to use the internet, get some bread, or soup. And sit and drink for awhile. It's great. That's probably where we'll end up later this afternoon. And thank you :) I appreciate it. Oh crap I didn't notice Sprizie's post. I feel so terrible now. I am so sorry. That's okay CAV. Things move quickly here and things get missed. :)
jumpingbeans
I'd feel horrible if one of my family members was that sick. P.S. CAV I'm watching discovery now. Sharks is half-hour :)
-Ryan
A, i'm really sorry about that Spritzie. :( I don't wanna talk about lions. How about squirrels instead? :O Also, this is random and I doubt many will know what i'm talking about but i'm happy right now because AVID didn't get cancelled due to funding issues like they were talking about last year. ^^
Divya Bean
That must have been so fun Spritzie! Driving TWO hours?! Oy! The mall is so close to me, roughly 20 minutes.
jumpingbeans
I know what AVID is. It's a program for California for smart people Somebody(I think you) told me yesterday. And sure, we can talk about squirrels.
Spritzie
I'd feel horrible if one of my family members was that sick. P.S. CAV I'm watching discovery now. Sharks is half-hour :) It's rough. But her health has been getting worse slowly, until recently. I'm just glad I'm able to help. A, i'm really sorry about that Spritzie. :( Also, this is random and I doubt many will know what i'm talking about but i'm happy right now because AVID didn't get cancelled due to funding issues like they were talking about last year. ^^ Thank you. And every time I see AVID, I think of AVAD, the audio/visual something company. (I forget what they do. I just dealt with them when I worked at my sister's company.) That must have been so fun Spritzie! Driving TWO hours?! Oy! The mall is so close to me, roughly 20 minutes. We have 2 malls in town, plus an outside place. But we got bored. So we'd drive to Denver. They had a lot cooler stuff that we don't have here. And we still get to do it, not as often though. When we go to the mall, I just get her a wheelchair, that way she's not in pain and can enjoy it. (Note to self: Don't leave her unattended for more than a minute or two. She WILL wander off on her own and make it surprisingly far.) :laughingsmiley:

livvy
Growing up with just me and mum at the house, I'm pretty close to her also. I don't know how I'd handle it if mum started going downhill. With your permission, Spritzie, I've added your name to our prayer wall. Panera is the source of my monthly (or twice-monthly :* ) vegetarian splurge. I just so love their turkey sandwiches. And during the school year I sometimes go there to work on homework with my friends. Mmm! EDIT: And yay Ryan for AVID not getting canceled!
