Anisha Posted August 2, 2010 Posted August 2, 2010 No, Ani, I mean what time is it for you? I'm trying to figure out the time zone difference. :P *fails* Man, I fail all the time. x_x And it's 11:15pm here. IST(Indian Standard Time) is NST+12. Quote
Spritzie Posted August 2, 2010 Posted August 2, 2010 :laughingsmiley: I don't think it's been tried... but I honestly wouldn't be all that surprised. How sad is it, when a company must state that the product contains... the product you purchased? Quote
-Ryan Posted August 2, 2010 Posted August 2, 2010 I have finally figured out the time zone diffeence between PST and IST! xD Yay. ^^ Quote
livvy Posted August 2, 2010 Posted August 2, 2010 Very. I ate a granola nut bar this morning, and the wrapping says "Warning: Product contains nuts." *shakes head* Wait wait wait. 11:!%? ... I mean 11:15? (Once again, Livvy discovers that you cannot capitalize numbers.) But it was 1:45 here when you said that... Where's the half time-zone? :S Quote
Spritzie Posted August 2, 2010 Posted August 2, 2010 Anisha is 11.5 hours ahead of me. When she posted it was 11:15pm, it was 11:45am here. Livvy, there's part of India that does that 30 minute off thing. I have no clue where it comes from though. Quote
livvy Posted August 2, 2010 Posted August 2, 2010 So Spritzie, you're 2 hours behind me... so you're 1 hour ahead of Ryan... ah, time zones confuse me. What's the date where you are, Ani? Quote
Spritzie Posted August 2, 2010 Posted August 2, 2010 Yep. I'm Mountain time. Neopets time + 1 hour. Arizona can be confusing too, because they don't do daylight savings. (My cousin lives in AZ.) Quote
-Ryan Posted August 2, 2010 Posted August 2, 2010 Someone should write these down and keep a record of all the timezones using NST as the base time. Quote
Anisha Posted August 2, 2010 Posted August 2, 2010 So Spritzie, you're 2 hours behind me... so you're 1 hour ahead of Ryan... ah, time zones confuse me. What's the date where you are, Ani? It's 2nd August here. Pretty much the same, but it's soon going to be 3rd August in ... less than 30 mins. Quote
Spritzie Posted August 2, 2010 Posted August 2, 2010 That's a good idea. NST is something we all have in common, that makes it easier. I always hated trying to figure out time zones. Like my best friend lives in Kentucky. But depending on which part, half is 1 hour ahead of Mountain time, the other half is 2 hours ahead. o_O Quote
livvy Posted August 2, 2010 Posted August 2, 2010 I agree with Arizona. DST is ridiculous. What's the point? I mean, I understand the original intent was to give farmers more time to do their work, but farmers don't care about the clock time. They get up by the sun, not the time standard. You can't just got messing with time like that, Mr. President. Quote
Anisha Posted August 2, 2010 Posted August 2, 2010 Just type 'Goa Time' in google. It would show you the time. Or any other place. 11:34pm Monday (IST) - Time in Goa, India Quote
livvy Posted August 2, 2010 Posted August 2, 2010 Figuring times relative to NST would be easy. Just find a GMT time table and alter for different location. Quote
Anisha Posted August 2, 2010 Posted August 2, 2010 2:11pm Monday (EDT) - Time in South Carolina, United States of America Is it right Livvy? Quote
-Ryan Posted August 2, 2010 Posted August 2, 2010 Arizona time rocks! b) DST would just be confusing and i'd have to change my alarm time. <.< Quote
CAV of Gang Green Posted August 2, 2010 Posted August 2, 2010 CAV, it would be anyone with Twitter. I so despise it. Now if you had said teenage girls with cell phones.... :laughingsmiley: Them too, but teenage girls are the stereotypes of Twitter. I live in EST, so I'm 3 hours ahead of SS and Tyler, 1 hour ahead of Spritzie. I have the same time as Divvy. I think I have the same time as Livvy, and I don't know the difference between my and Trinston. Yes Anisha you are right. Well, it's 2:14 now, but still. Quote
livvy Posted August 2, 2010 Posted August 2, 2010 Yep, you were right, Ani! So you don't do DST, Ryan? Lucky you. *is jealous* :O Quote
Anisha Posted August 2, 2010 Posted August 2, 2010 What do you guys mean by DST? Daylight Saving Time? :O Sorry, I am not that well-informed. :* Quote
Spritzie Posted August 2, 2010 Posted August 2, 2010 I agree with Arizona. DST is ridiculous. What's the point? I mean, I understand the original intent was to give farmers more time to do their work, but farmers don't care about the clock time. They get up by the sun, not the time standard. You can't just got messing with time like that, Mr. President. I love it. Before it takes effect, it's dark when I head to work at 6:30am, and way past dark when I get off at 7:00pm. With Daylight savings, it's light when I get up, and when I get off. Them too, but teenage girls are the stereotypes of Twitter. I live in EST, so I'm 3 hours ahead of SS and Tyler, 1 hour ahead of Spritzie. I have the same time as Divvy. I think I have the same time as Livvy, and I don't know the difference between my and Trinston. I know. But I still don't like stereotypes. I believe you and I have been through this before... the whole, blonde thing. :P If you're eastern time (Being in NY) you're 2 hours ahead of me, not 1. Quote
:)Doc Posted August 2, 2010 Posted August 2, 2010 My head hurts so badly after reading through all those posts about timezones :( Quote
Anisha Posted August 2, 2010 Posted August 2, 2010 I know. But I still don't like stereotypes. I believe you and I have been through this before... the whole, blonde thing. :P I remember that blonde talk. :P And in case of stereotypes, they are oddly interesting. Quote
-Ryan Posted August 2, 2010 Posted August 2, 2010 Lol, I remember the blonde topic. xDDD I tend to stereotype cheerleaders and jocks. Quote
Divya Bean Posted August 2, 2010 Posted August 2, 2010 And Will is in my timezone! He is even in the same state as me. Whoo! PA rocks! b) Quote
Spritzie Posted August 2, 2010 Posted August 2, 2010 Lol, I remember the blonde topic. xDDD I tend to stereotype cheerleaders and jocks. Yeah, I've dealt with it. Dumb/Blonde. Athletic/geek. Sporty/girly. Shy/snobby. :rolleyes_anim: That stuff drives me crazy. Quote
-Ryan Posted August 2, 2010 Posted August 2, 2010 Actually. I still stereotype jocks ALOT still but not cherledaers anymore. -shrug- I blame Anisha. :P Divya! Go stalk Will and find his house then wait for him there! :P Quote
