Hang Out and Post

Invader Zim is back on Nicktoons (We got this channel with a cable upgrade, although I'm sure anyone with satellite has it). It's really awesome to watch it once again.

They took out bloody gir though, although that's not a big deal.

You mean new episodes? I wanna watch! I don't have cable.

But who in their right mind would take out Gir though? One of the main reasons people loved the show, I mean how stupid can you get!?

It's only the old episodes. There's no new episodes.

And I meant BLOODY GIR, not Gir. Bloody Gir was a hidden image in several episodes of Gir covered in blood. It was even in the theme, but it's hard to notice. They hid this fact from Nick and used it as revenge for not letting them make an episode where Gir really is covered in blood. Nick also wouldn't let them make an episode where Zim kills the tallest (on accident).

temorarily unable to post. cat on boh hands. forgive delayedd responses and spelling errors. toe typing.

^And of course, right as I finish laboriously typing that, the cat moves. :P She says "Mrr" by the way.

Aww, they took away the character Drew drew on my pants? But it was so cute! :(

EDIT: Oh good, Gir is still there. =] That's alright then.

Later CAV :)

I'm back now.

I love Invader Zim. Actually, when the show cancelled, it was in the middle of it's 3rd season, and the 4th season was already made. Nicktoons planed on showing the rest of season 3, and season 4 as well, so the show can be complete.

But that's just what I heard.

I'm just happy that I can hear Gir again.

Here's bloody gir in the theme song (slowed down):

And here he is in full opacity

THIS is what was taken out. Not Gir's character, because there are no new episodes. Only the old ones.

EDIT: I'm glad I've made myself clear :P

Yeah, they have a whole bunch of other interesting things that are hard to realize :P In the episode where Zim works in fast food, the creator is shown at a table with the first episode's script.

Another thing that Nick wouldn't have wanted is a couple of the creator's characters from his other series about some sort of psychotic person. It's quite funny how much the creator threw in and hid from Nick.

I probably wouldn't have been allowed to watch it. Mum didn't like most Nick shows. *rolls eyes* I have a very protective parent. I couldn't watch Pokemon as a kid either, because it showed "fighting." :rolleyes_anim:

EDIT: Sorry for leaving so early, but I'm falling asleep at my keyboard. -_- Not that y'all are boring or anything - far from it, actually - I'm just really tired after a busy weekend. So I'll see y'all tomorrow/later today. G'night!

I watch*ED smosh. I haven't been keeping up with it since Anthony's Death & Resurrection about a year ago. :P It's not that I don't like it, I just forget to watch for new stuff. I'll go watch that now. :)

I was always scared of Invader Zim so I just never watched it :P

That's what made it so funny. It was a creepy kind of humor.

Invader Zim, Ren & Stimpy, Rocko, and Last Airbender. Those are the greatest shows Nick ever had.

I had the

stuck in my head all day.

You should look, they made fun of cartoons, including Invader Zim.

I tend to disagree. I didn't like Invader Zim or Ren & Stimpy. Rocko and the Last Airbender were amazing.

Where I disagree, I would put Rugrats and Spongebob in there. Those shows I still love to this day

Johnny the Homicidal Maniac! One of the defining comics of the gothic scene. Love it!

Yeah, new episodes would be odd, because when Zim got cancelled Jhonen Vasquez (the creator) said he'd never work for Nick again. He didn't like how much they took out and censored. Plus the time slots were horrible. Nick was mean. Did you know The Angry Beavers got cancelled after they made an episode making fun of Nick cancelling shows?

The Angry Beavers was another amazing one :O

Yeah! Johnny the Homicidal Maniac made appearances in Zim really incognito :P His dog did too.

Yeah CAV I just watched if Cartoons/video games were real. My favorites were Katamari Damacy, Sims, Pokemon, and TMNT on Cartoons with shredder XD.

So that's where The Angry Beavers went! I wondered what happened! :gasp:

So THAT'S how it got cancelled.

Wow, this makes FOX seem nice. Family Guy and The Simpsons made fun of Fox, and they never cancelled either show. Well, they did with Family Guy, but not for being made fun of.

If they have Invader Zim come back, do it for Comedy Central. The dark setting would be somewhat more fitting in CC than a children's channel.

But Viacom owns both...Dang!

Oh see I think Rugrats and Spongebob are annoying. I associate Rugrats with my annoying stepcousin though.

Uh, I grew up when Salute Your Shorts, Pete and Pete, Ren and Stimpy, Doug, Rocko's Modern Life, Are You Afraid of the Dark?, All That, etc. were popular.

My faves were Legends of the Hidden Temple (!!!), Salute Your Shorts, Double Dare, Gas, and Clarissa Tells It All.

EDIT:

whoa, there were about 5 posts while I was typing that. Crazy!

Anything from Nick Gas is good. Why they deleted the channel to put in Noggin is beyond me. Just make another channel, don't delete something good. You lose customers that way!

I forgot to put Hey Arnold and Rocket Power on the list of best Nick shows.
