Noog Posted August 1, 2010 Posted August 1, 2010 I'm not sad because other people can't remember my app, I'm sad because I liked looking back at my app for historical purposes :( I wrote the guide for Jelly Blobs of Doom on the spot in the reply box, so it's not saved anywhere. XD Quote
Anisha Posted August 1, 2010 Posted August 1, 2010 When I first joined TDN, I spent most of my time reading Apps. Some of them were inspiring, and some were really formal. Quote
Noog Posted August 1, 2010 Posted August 1, 2010 ...and some of them were LOL worthy. My favorite applications are the particularly bad ones that I can literally laugh out loud towards. I remember one specific one, but I'm not going to call them out. I don't think they're on the forums anymore anyways. The whole point of moving them was so people couldn't read them, actually, because people could take applicant's email and MSN, as well as other personal info. Quote
Anisha Posted August 1, 2010 Posted August 1, 2010 Aw. I never really laughed at apps. It was good that they even tried, nobody's perfect. I think that's the reason the Apps are via email now. Quote
Noog Posted August 1, 2010 Posted August 1, 2010 Of course, thats the reason. :P No, the one that I am talking about was PROBABLY a troll. It was funneh. XD Quote
Anisha Posted August 1, 2010 Posted August 1, 2010 A troll? :laughingsmiley: Um. Weeeird. Care to explain? I have got 8 missed calls, and it's midnight here. x_x It's true, friendship has no limits. Quote
Wembly Posted August 1, 2010 Posted August 1, 2010 I always did find it odd that the applications were out there for the world to see. Quote
Noog Posted August 1, 2010 Posted August 1, 2010 I find it hard that you are on the internet and you don't know what a troll is. Quote
Anisha Posted August 1, 2010 Posted August 1, 2010 I always did find it odd that the applications were out there for the world to see. Well that explains. But it's fun to read them. I find it hard that you are on the internet and you don't know what a troll is. You mean the internet troll? And I was thinking about the creature. :sad01_anim: Hopeless as always. Quote
Wembly Posted August 1, 2010 Posted August 1, 2010 I just hit my elbow on my laptop and now my fingers keep going numb. :guiltysmiley: Quote
Noog Posted August 1, 2010 Posted August 1, 2010 Yes Anisha, internet trolls :P It seems honestly that someone tried to be that bad. If that was someone's honest effort, then I wouldn't have laughed at it. Quote
Spritzie Posted August 1, 2010 Posted August 1, 2010 ...and some of them were LOL worthy. That's part of why I enjoyed them so much. Some were very amusing. Or it was interesting to see the apps for current staff members. But I'm glad they are now email. I didn't like the personal info being there for anyone to read. Quote
Noog Posted August 1, 2010 Posted August 1, 2010 See Anisha, Spritzie agrees that there were some amusing ones :) Quote
Anisha Posted August 1, 2010 Posted August 1, 2010 Spritzie, I have read your application! But internet trolls are epic. And awesome. Enough said. Quote
Spritzie Posted August 1, 2010 Posted August 1, 2010 Spritzie, I have read your application! Yes you have. But don't tell anyone my secrets, okay? Quote
livvy Posted August 1, 2010 Posted August 1, 2010 You know, I would rather prefer to be a FM, than a Mod. :P I know, I am insane. That's not insane at all. I too am much happier as an FM (and a loved member of the community) than I would be as a staffer. I don't like internet trolls. It's just not my kind of humor. *shrug* Quote
Spritzie Posted August 1, 2010 Posted August 1, 2010 That's not insane at all. I too am much happier as an FM (and a loved member of the community) than I would be as a staffer. For me, it depends. Here, I definitely would love to take part in being a staff member. But when I used to be on LiveJournal, there were some communities where I was a mod, then there were others where I would never have done that, as I enjoyed being just a member. Quote
Tyler. Posted August 1, 2010 Posted August 1, 2010 I'm never on when the interesting people are :crying: Quote
Spritzie Posted August 1, 2010 Posted August 1, 2010 I'm never on when the interesting people are :crying: :O Does that mean I don't fall in the "interesting" category? That's not very nice. :crying: Quote
