Captain Awesome Pants Posted February 3, 2009 Posted February 3, 2009 So.... *builds suspense* I don't have my phone on that often during the week, only at night because it's my alarm. So all the texts from that day accumulate and bombard me that night. So I'm turning my phone on at like.... 10:10. And as it makes it's little turning-on noise, my mom comes down the stairs. We start talking about when I can switch my phone plan. When she says, "It's my goal to get you a texting plan," my phone makes the texting noise. So I point to it and say, "This is EXACTLY why I need texting." We both laugh and go our seperate ways. Now, mind you, it's dark and I'm teetering from my backpack. And I'm walking up the stairs while trying to read this text, so I'm going very slowly. So, I open my inbox and see the name next to the text. And it's the guy I asked to turnabout. So I read the text. It says: "I know you aren't supposed to be texting, but I can't find a chance during school..." And it stops there. Because I have to scroll down. SUSPENSE >:O "...to ask you out so will you go out with me sometime?" D'AWWWWWW.... <3 Quote

Revenge Posted February 3, 2009 Posted February 3, 2009 Well, you haven't known him long enough to know what he's like, right? And the tenth is a week from now, so you couldn't really find out without him figuring out that's what you're gonna get him. Unless you tell him you are, and explain why, that'd be kinda sweet in itself, which could make buying the present redundant. You know, the whole "it's the thought that counts" thing. But even if that's true, not getting a present would be lying about getting one, which isn't a good idea so early in. But that's if you tell him, then not intending to get a present in the first place could go a few ways, depending on what he's like? What is he like? There's always the option of just going over and paying special attention to him on his birthday. It's the beginning, so everything could branch out in so many ways in the start... Looking back, that isn't that helpful. Try paying attention to him a couple days and see if you can stick any of the above possibilities in. Quote

Then again, it really depends on whether or not he expects a present. Though something to surprise him. I mean make a funny card and get him his favorite candy or something. That should do nicely. Though I had a pretty good idea. ;) ) As for the present: I'd go with a card. They're safer, and you don't have to know TOO much about what he likes. So a card is good, but of course the easiest way to make a boy happy is to feed them. I would bake him cookies. Shows that you care and put a little effort in, but it's not to mushy or too personal. Plus it takes two seconds to bake and then you get to eat them too! Topic for you signature: Hating school or Wishing school was over....something like that. Or if you wanted something Neopets related might I suggest...a villain...it would match your name. Quote

She's not my top priority in these matters anymore. Right now, she's just my best friend. And that's cool. Because that's probably all it will ever be. Cookies might not work... because we have no mix, and giving them to him would be awkward. I mean, we don't get a moment alone. There's always one of my friends around. :/ Quote

Y'know, orgainising school events, fundraising, greeting international visitors etc. With homework (if there is much) I think its going to drag along till the end of the year.
