Maybe because it really, really hurts when you get your finger pinched between the spinning globe and the bar holding it up? I gotta think....... Insects. You think it's strange since I'm a guy and I fear big bugs. I can't think of any others. My husband is that way. I hate bugs. Growing up in a house with 1 male, and 3 females, my dad got stuck killing them all the time.
