Hmm...maybe I'm thinking about this wrong, but between SNIDE, STUDS, and SCENE I feel like it has to be impossible. There's no I because of PRICK, but three of the letters in SNIDE are in the right place. So that's SN_DE, pick three out of four. If the N is correct, then it's definitely the second letter, but in SCENE, it's the fourth and still in the right place. So the only possibilities there are that N is wrong, or it's SN_NE (and there are no words like that, and SCENE would have three correct letters). So N is wrong, so S__DE has to be right. But STUDS only has one correct letter. Am I missing something?

It's really the S__DE one no others if it makes it easier for you, but no further hints.
