Five Letter Logic

With a little old driver, so lively and quick,

I knew in a moment it must be St. Nick.

More rapid than eagles his coursers they came,

And he whistled, and shouted, and call'd them by name:

"Now! Dasher, now! Dancer, now! Prancer and Vixen...

Over to you again poptart :D

PS duskitty - have you read the rules at the beginning which explain what the numbers mean? - e.g. DALLY (0,0,5) means there is no A in the word (or D, L or Y), so it couldn't possibly be SANTA or MAGIC. In fact, from where we had got to, you could work out that the word was _ I _ E N. DICEY (2,0,3) tells you two of those letters are correct and in the right place. We already worked out that D & Y are incorrect, and CLAUS (0,0,5) tells us that the 'C' is incorrect too, so it must be _I_E_. Similar logic for DROWN(1,0,4) tells you that the last letter is 'N'. You could then eliminate most of the letters in the alphabet as not being in the word, as they'd been guessed already, leading to VIXEN being the only possible solution :)
