Donate vs Discard ???

Well, I mostly donate to the Money Tree. I think that donating is very caring. :D

I donate the more useful things, like books, etc. There'll always be a pet who hasn't read something. :)

But I tend to discard rotting driftwood, soggy boxes, etc.

Yeah I mostly discard. I find it hard to believe anybody actually wants the junk from fishing or burnt desert food. I also discard the toys from weltrude's toy chest, the grundo plushie, etc. The items are so common since anyone can get them that I don't see why anyone would need them off the money tree.

I ALWAYS ALWAYS ALWAYS discard food that makes your pet sick. Otherwise, I usually donate, but sometimes I just get fed up with that and discard. The items will be 1 np in shops no matter what I do.

If it has no use other than taking up space (like a soggy cardboard box), then I discard it.

 

But if it can be eaten, worn, played with, or read, it goes to the Money Tree.

 

I'm trying to get the Packrat avatar lately, so I've been hoarding everything. :P

I use it if it's food, or I sell it. If I can't sell it, I discard it. I think there's already enough junk at the tree... I think if people want to get junk for the packrat avatar, they will be able to get it easily enough already.

I usually hoard items. Everything goes into my SDB. Occasionally I sell items that are worth something, though.

And I rarely bother with the MT or the MRD.

I donate anything cheap I already have in my SDB. Never know if you need some items for a random quest.

Donate anything that may be useful to somebody, discard the junk, deposit any food.

I discard anything that is worth under 5 neopoints (underwater fishing and other common daily prizes).

I donate anything that somebody might actually have a use for (books, jelly, omelettes, plushies).

when you clean out your inventory .. do you donate the items to the money tree or discard them ?

 

i personally discard all junk ... and only donate items worth around 200-500 np (some esophagor quest prizes) to the money tree ... junk is hugely reproduced on a daily basis (imagine how many people play tombola and fishing etc) and we don't need anymore of those items cluttering up the money tree and the shops , trading post etc ...

I usually sell things in my shop even if it only goes for one neopoint.

Secret option number 3 - Hoard.

 

Never know when an item might become valuable, or when you'll need it for a quest or...something.

 

If it's worth nothing or has no purpose though, discard for sure.

For me, I just discard all of my useless prizes I get from the dailies. It just sickens me to see all of that junk cluttering the Money Tree.

I discard all my junk too! No one actually wants it so by donating you're just re-circling junk that nobody wants. Honestly, junk food is one thing, but no one wants rotting logs or dung, let's be honest.

I always donate, but reading this makes me realise it might be better to discard the garbage items

Sometimes I donate. But mostly I put things in my shop. People do actually buy it.... Don't know why :/

I do both! If its junk then of course I discard, but if its cute toys or anything food then i definitely donate! When i do go check the money tree, i agree, it can be kinda disappointing to just see all the junk people throw in there :(

I used to donate everything, nut now I discard the worthless stuff. I hardly donate now, only things like books that all my pets have already read, stuff like that.

I discard anything that is junk (who needs a rotten old left shoe?) but donate anything that can be useful - like books or something that can be sold on even for a small price.

I discard junk which I get from fishing and dung & poisonous food. Otherwise I sell everything in my shop - also items worth only 1np and I sell everything. It's amazing, heheheh :D

But I must say that I really hate when I go to Money Tree and see all those shoes and boxes and broken fishing poles! Ugh! :D

I pretty much just hoard items in my SDB. I mean, space is limitless, so why have to decide?

 

I guess if I ever did clean up, I'd probably discard, since there's too much junk already.

I'll probably discard my seeweed items soon. The garden ones. Because I find them lots at the Money Tree as well.

If I don't sell it in my shop I discard it - no one needs yet another left shoe worth 1NP, not even the poorest player.
