Neopets Tattoos

I'm planning on getting a tattoo dedicated to Neopets. For quite some time I wanted to get a tattoo of Fyora(she's my favorite Neopian Faerie) but then again I think it would be cool to have tattoos of your own Neopets. So(and I hope this doesn't sound weird) I can have all my pets everywhere I go!

I just don't know what to say about that. I think it's a really good and a really bad idea at the same time. lol

I wonder if anyone else has ever gotten a Neopets tattoo. *runs to google*

Wow yes, yes they have.

This one's pretty bad though.

If you're going to get tattoos you really have to know if you want to keep it long term.

In my opinion any tattoo based on a game is kinda of silly because you'll grow out of it and regret it later x-x;

But if you really want to the you should, but honestly if I saw someone with Neopets tattoo, ehh... yea.

When I decided to get a tattoo I made sure it was something I wouldn't get tired of because it is more painful getting one removed.

I just have a tattoo of music notes and a small quote since I play the piano and such so for sure I won't mind having it when I grow a lot older.

Also, if you do decide to get one, if you can draw/design I recommend you doing that, I design my own tattoos and just bring it with me to the parlor >-<;

Hehe that sounds like a wicked idea! I wouldn't recommend getting your own pets though, lots of things could go wrong like your account could get hacked and all your pets pounded to different owners or you could get frozen and never get them back. It would suck if that happened to have that reminder literally on you every day.

Personally if I were to get a Neopets tattoo I'd go with Illusen, but if Fyora floats your boat then cool beans :D Just make sure you're really really really sure you want to do this before you go for it, and that you don't get ANY green ink put on you - it leaves a yellowish stain if you ever want to get it removed, never fully comes off the skin (at least that's what my bf tells me :P)

That's really awesome!! I would probably do something small and cute that wasn't overly screaming Neopets, because I might regret it later. Just something that I liked the design of a lot. Like a Ukali or something :P But then again, I'm probably not ever getting a tattoo because I change my mind way too often. (I'll just stick to doodling on myself with sharpie :P)

I would personally not get a tattoo that had anything to do with neopets as you will regret it at some point then your stuck with it forever. I have 9 tattoos currently designing my 10th :) My best friend is a tattoo artist and she thinks getting something to do with a virtual game is a little bit sad. That's like me getting FACEBOOK wrote up my arm because I love facebook and I'm always on it :P

Agreed. Any virtual game tattoo is kinda of iffy.

I'm sure when you're 50+ or so you're going to regret it (no offense to anyone who plays at this age, I know some people who play with their grandchildren).

I only have 4 tattoos but their were for certain moments in like winning a surfing competition, piano recital, art competition and a sibling related one (basically 4 stars big to small representing us).

They're pretty nice because it's not really screaming anything in particular, just designs that remind me of those moments.

If you like faeries though, I suggest getting one that is pretty universal and not directly Neopets you know?

Example:

Not directly Neopets related but it can represent the Grey Faerie

Bigger wings= can represent Queen Fyora. But yea just a few examples.

I just say when you do decide to get a tattoo make sure you want it for life because I've seen people removing tattoos and that's just painful x-x;

I agree with what most of the people said here. Remember: this tattoo isn't the kind you can just peel off with water. It's probably different for most people, but when you're a lot older (say, around 50-70 years) you might get tired of it. If you're a really dedicated Neopets fan, you could use a design on Neopets that may/may not be slightly altered to seem more....less virtual gamed? Well, anyways, it's your choice!

I'm going to play the devil's advocate a bit here. Personally, I'm not a huge fan of tattoos, and I don't have any of my own, but here's my thoughts.

If you think that a Neopets character would make a cute tattoo, I don't really see a problem. Lots of people have tattoos of Tinkerbell or other cute, well-known characters. I don't see how Fyora is any different. It's all about what you like, right? Tattoos are a personal decision, and if you like cute cartoon characters, I don't see the big deal.

I wouldn't recommend getting tattoos of your pets, simply because your pets will likely change over time. What if you choose to later morph or paint, or even trade, your pets?

The Queen Fyora tattoo would be better then your pets. If you grow out of Neopets Queen Fyora can just be a faerie whereas a pet's always going to be a pet and they can change or you can lose interest in them. Like masaryk_the_mad said people get faerie and cartoon tattoos all the time. It wouldn't be that unusal.

My first tattoo I got wasn't too well thought out. I love it and don't regret it because it's my first but I wish I spent more time thinking about it. Take some time and think about it if you can go a while with out changing your mind about the tattoo I say go for it.

Am I the only one that thinks the Scorchio tattoo is kinda cute?

On a more serious note though, don't get a tattoo of your pet(s) because, as already said, they can change. Altho I think the faeire is an awesome idea - Judhora is cool and with all the purple to the unitiated she'll just look like a fairy but if someone who's a neopian sees it you might just get a new friend! :)

The Queen Fyora tattoo would be best because, as others said, she's not going to change as your pets might. & faerie/fairy tattoos in general look very cool, especially if you go for a less cartoon-style & more realistic style.

While I am not against people with tattoo's I also dislike tattoos and is not planning to get any for a long time. Especially since it stays forever.

I've been designing and fiddling about with my first tattoo for a couple years now (I plan to get it done in May) and I would definitely recommend taking a long time about it - some people have amazing tatts that they got on a whim but as a general rule it's not a great idea. I also don't see the problem with getting a Neopets tattoo. People get Spongebob/Disney etc tatts all the time - what's the difference? If you care that much about your neopets or queen Fyora then go for it! All I'd say is take some serious time working out the design, placing and sizing.

One tip I'd say is try to find some temporary tattoos if you can (the kind that kids wear) in your design and keep re-applying for a period of a few months until you're 100% sure about it.

I agree that doing one of a faeire is the best idea, simply because your Neopets could change over time, you could trade or pound them, your account frozen...yeah, you get the idea. Seeing as Fyora is your favorite faerie (mine too) I suggest the Fyora tattoo. Even better if it's your own drawing or design of her, because that way, you can keep it and regret it less.

Trust me, I'd never let my accounts get frozen! Yeah, getting a tattoo of my Neopets would be bad. I recently adopted a Purple Blumaroo, and am getting ready to morph/paint my Blue Lenny Split, paint my Pteri Christmas, and hopefully by Christmas have my Aisha morphed Mutant but I could change my mind with them and decide to paint them a whole new color.

PS I read your signature and I, too, have super spoiled pets. All 20 of them are royalty pracitally.

I have a few tattoos of my own and I definitely put the most thought into the first one (well, technically second, but the first one is tiny and I don't count it). I agree that if you were to do it, a faerie would be your best bet. If you REALLY had your mind set on a pet, then maybe pick one that looks like, or can be altered a little to look like a real animal, or have the artist do realistic colouring. But like others have said, you should wait awhile and see if you still like your design for a few months (or more) before you get it done permanently. My first big one I sketched out almost 2 years before I got it done and made sure I was completely in love with it before it became permanent. It might also be a good idea to pitch this idea to a couple of real-world friends that you see every day. I'm not saying you should let other people's opinions stop you, I'm just saying it might make it more real for you (and having friends' opinions can't hurt).
