buzz Posted February 17, 2007 Author Posted February 17, 2007 At my school, we have people that get 50 averages Quote
antiaircraft Posted February 17, 2007 Posted February 17, 2007 We get it off easier here... to fail you have to be below 40%. Quote
Ellie_Penguin Posted February 17, 2007 Posted February 17, 2007 below 40%? Woah i wish they had that at my school :graduated: Quote
antiaircraft Posted February 17, 2007 Posted February 17, 2007 I guess the exams are somewhat harder though... it's rare to score above 90%. Quote
.Dan. Posted February 17, 2007 Posted February 17, 2007 Well, it is harder in different places. Quote
sinn7 Posted February 17, 2007 Posted February 17, 2007 Woah I'm really glad that in my school below 40% is failing. Although you have to get 55% (I think) to get an honour. The lowest I've ever gotten is 58%...in irish, of course! Quote
kikaown Posted February 17, 2007 Posted February 17, 2007 You get expelled for failing? We have people that maintain a 10% average, who never get expelled. Quote
Ellie_Penguin Posted February 17, 2007 Posted February 17, 2007 if you're referring to me, yes. You have to maintain a 75% in all of your courses if not you get expelled or suspended depending on how many you failed. They won't expell you if you only failed 1 course. Quote
buzz Posted February 17, 2007 Author Posted February 17, 2007 I go to a public school so they can't expell someone because of grades Quote
Awesome_Paul Posted February 17, 2007 Posted February 17, 2007 i don't go to school, so i can get expelled Quote
buzz Posted February 17, 2007 Author Posted February 17, 2007 Are you homeschooled or have you graduated or what Quote
Awesome_Paul Posted February 17, 2007 Posted February 17, 2007 nah i finished school/college and i couldn't be bothered to go to university Quote
Awesome_Paul Posted February 17, 2007 Posted February 17, 2007 Relaxation :P, nah im resarching into going into a apprenticeship, and becaome a trade person, that is worth quite a bit Quote
Awesome_Paul Posted February 17, 2007 Posted February 17, 2007 thanks its quite cool, you getting a better education like uni but getting paid at teh same time Quote
Ellie_Penguin Posted February 17, 2007 Posted February 17, 2007 yea i've heard about that system, very cool. Quote
buzz Posted February 18, 2007 Author Posted February 18, 2007 I want to get payed to learn :laughingsmiley: Just Kidding Quote
Ellie_Penguin Posted February 18, 2007 Posted February 18, 2007 well when u work at a company, sometimes your boss might pay you to go take a course at a university. That happened to my friend's bf. Quote
EnlightenedOne Posted February 19, 2007 Posted February 19, 2007 why? why wouldnt they jus fire you and get someone with the actual degree already? Quote
Ellie_Penguin Posted February 19, 2007 Posted February 19, 2007 Because sometimes it wasn't on the "requirements" or maybe they do want the person so badly that they would rather pay them a course to get the experience they need. Quote
sinn7 Posted February 20, 2007 Posted February 20, 2007 It also helps to build up a good public image for the company (oh yeah! if only my business teacher could see me now!) because if people see them helping to educate the community they'll be all like "Oh that's not just a faceless company that doesn't care" and be more inclined to work for them/buy their product/service Quote
