Am I the only one here who doesn't care....

about what species or color my pet is?

It seems like everyone has a dream pet, towards which they try to save enough neopts for the morphing potion or a paintbrush.

I myself couldn't care less whether my pet is a Faerie Uni, a blue Korbat, an Ice Shoyru or a ghost Drawk (if any of these colors even exist).

(I care about its stats mostly, just not its appearance).

I have a pet where I don't care. That's why I keep zapping her. I don't really have a dream pet, so I periodically change what I want my pets to be. I suppose it's not the same as you, but I think I care less than most people.

I like my pet just the way she is. I like the stats more anyways, just like you. I'm probably just gonna make her my lab rat!

Well, seeing that the battledome had been neglected by the TNT for quite awhile, I guess most people don't really bother anymore with the stats. Beside, having a pet that looks nice to you is always a bonus.

I don't care about stats. I have had a "dream pet" which I worked hard to get. But now that I have one I don't care about making all of my pets special. I think wanting a dream pet makes more sense than the people obsessing over the name of a pet -_-

I haven't bothered getting the lab ray because I care too much about my pets species and colour. I'd love to have the instant stat changes, but it's not worth the downfall to me as I keep saving to get each of my dream colours in turn, then I'll move onto petpets and then focus on clothing probably. I really only have faerie left in the colour department, but thats the really expensive one...

I know I care. I finally decided to paint my Lutari, Disco fever. Looks great.

Wow. And I thought I was the only one! :P

I don't care about what color my pet is because to me, none of the colors look good on my Scorchio. Like sure a Darigan Scorchio looks really bad ass but do I really want to see it every single day I log into neopets? Not really. Same with a lot of the petpets.

If it doesn't make the pet cuter or cooler, I don't see why I should spend so much money on a paintbrushes where I could just be using that hard earned cash for other things.

And my dream species? ....it was a Scorchio :P I have no interest in a draik since...I dunno. I don't like draiks :S I would love a krawk. Would I spend millions to get one? Probably not...

I just recently got into the BD thanks to the plot, but I definitely care what my pet looks like just as much as their stats. I'm not going to spend a ton of np on clothes (only the cheapest!) but I would like to work towards a paintbrush that I really like. If they were painted a cool color, I'm not sure I would want them covering that up with clothes. I guess I don't have a dream pet yet, but the species and name is still important to me.

Funny how they grow on you. I have a plain blue peophin that I'll never paint or trade for the world.

Everyone has differen reasons for liking certain pets. Me personally, I like appearence, hence why I have dream pets, but other people like the OP might look at stats aboveall else.

Im only perticular about what one of my pets look like however I like some of the different turn outs and look at othersand vomit.

i have no care whatsoever of my petpets however, they seem to be very much made of paper still :laughingsmiley:

I care about my pet's appearance over stats, but I personally don't get as attached to my pets unless I 'earn' them myself, ie. buying the paintbrush vs. zapping them.

I have 3 pets. 2 of which I would never zap. My Island Quiggle and Halloween Techo will hopefully always stay the same. My third pet changes species and color fairly often through the lab.

Yeah. Remember what I said earlier about not caring? Well....I lied :P Ever since I got my lupe I've been drooling over getting it mutated :P It's still pretty low down on my priorities but it's there now

I don't care what my LAB pet turns to ....

as for the others , I love them just the way they are (magma Eyrie and Mutant Lenny)

on my sides i care to have nice painted pets because you can't do anything else but keep pets so they might as well look presentable for when we have guests

I certainly care about what my pet looks like. If species and color didn't matter than there would only be one pet and one color, and that would be really boring. I don't care about the Battledome though, so stats mean nothing to me.

I don't care about the battledome because I have no intention of going there (turn based, page refresh games aren't my thing...I have very little patience :P) All my stats are earned from coltzan's shrine.

I'm a collector. When I'm done my 169 petpets I'll save up for a secret lab map so I can join an adoption agency and then eventually I'll get around to that transmogrification potion....

I care more about its appearance than stats. Yes, you could have a fantastic Battledome fighter, but then there are loads of other pets that can do just as well/even better in the Battledom. On the contrary, each pet's unique, and you would be quite hard pressed to find two pets wearing exactly the same clothes, standing in exactly in the background, exactly the same species and colour, etc.

I love my Kougra exactly how he is, but I don't think I have a "dream pet" either, although if I got certain ones I would be pretty happy [Mallow Grundo, Faerie Pteri are the two that come to mind]. It's more, I have pet colors and species that aren't my favorites and don't want.

I'm very fussy. I like the species for how they naturally look so i don't particularly like clothes or paint brushes. But that means i care, i suppose. :) Yeah, looks matter. As long as my pet likes how they look (which shows you i'm way too into it %-) )

Yeah, I think I got over the whole painting pets thing a while ago, too. Maybe it's because I've got several pets I like already. If I was a new player again, I'm sure it would be more of a priority. Now I'm happy with what my pets are, and to lab them, and focus on the BD.

But for me, the fun in Neopets has always been setting goals for myself... whether it's beating a plot, getting a certain pet, building a gallery, achieving certain avs... there's something really nice about reaching a goal. Even in a virtual world.
