reallycooldog
I just been wondering how people take screenies. Can anyone tell me how or give me a guide?

reallycooldog
What does that one button look like?
Big Brother
Well it looks like this: Print Screen -------- SysRq
BB1
It depends on what kind of computer you have. The new Windows 7 can take pictures using the snipping tool. Otherwise, you'll have to free download sotware similar, like GIMP. Try typing "GIMP" into the search box. b)
Masaryk
It might read "Prt Sc" or something like that. It's probably in your top row of keys. Once you hit the Print Screen key, it saves the screenshot to the clipboard, so you need to paste it into an image editor program, like MS Paint, Photoshop, or GIMP. reallycooldog
I don't have photoshop or anything. Oh well.
hrtbrk
You can use Paint if you're using Windows.
Shane for Wax
Using paint is usually easiest. It's what I do for my amateur screenies.
reallycooldog
Ok, just give me a minute to see if it will work...... edit:By the way, whats the clipboard?
Tyler.
the clipboard is where what you copy is stored.
reallycooldog
And how are you able to access it? Edit: Nevermind. But how do you transfer it to a petpage?
hrtbrk
You'll have to save it and then upload it to an image host like imageshack or photobucket. Then copy and paste the HTML code to your petpage.
-Ryan
I personally use paint and then upload all my images to photobucket.
livvy
The people above me have pretty much answered it, but let us know how it works. =] Personally, I use Photoshop and Photobucket. But Paint works fine too.
Xepha
Here is another answer. There's a Firefox add-on to take screenies :P It's called Screengrab (Official site here : http://www.screengrab.org/) The jpg quality is set really low, but the FAQ of the site says to "Change extensions.screengrab.jpgImageQuality in about:config. Values up to 100 are OK. Beyond that and I think the world will implode." A fellow content staffer uses it :)
