Spritzie Posted December 21, 2009 Posted December 21, 2009 The wheel of misfortune turned my lantern into sludge! i went to get another one, but i am not getting anything anymore, even after refreshing... I am doing something wrong? That's not good. Was it an empty lantern.. the one for the worms? Or was it the wearable one that you receive afterwards?

It seems fairly consistant, that those 2 are the hardest to find. Very few people that I've seen, have said they had no trouble finding them. With my first bunch, white, black and rainbow were my last 3 to find. I found white, then the rainbow, then of course... black last. Today... white was the first one I found. But still... black and rainbow are hiding from me.
hugswithnohands Posted December 22, 2009 Posted December 22, 2009 i finally found the blasted black worm, put the worms in the lantern and fished through the caves. it took me forever to do it, and i was cursing up a storm. :rolleyes_anim: but then i finally found it, and i went to see tangor. i got a teek! :D i found the black worm at 4:01 neopian time, and nearly died of joy when i did. XD i found the others easily, spare the black, as mentioned, and the white. they annoyed me to no end in their perpetual hide-and-seek game! i'm looking forward to trying to make the final, super pet-pet. ^o^

Right now, I'm stock-piling the "supplies" as I get them. When I'm ready, I'm going to figure out what I want most, and what I can make from what I have. So far, I've only made 2 petpets, an Oop and a Dal, and I gave both of them to my husband. Edit: It just struck me... with all the refreshing I've been doing in Moltara City... you'd think I would have thought to be on the look-out for the gears. But have I been looking? Of course not. That's the only thing I don't have in my SDB to use for petpets.

Epic joy. ;) The white gave me trouble the first day, it was number 8 that I found. Yesterday, white was the first I found. And of course, both days, black and rainbow were last. The scrap metal is only available either in shops, or by a random event. I've heard lots of people saying they got them as random events while searching for their worms. I'm not sure the price of the scrap metal in shops if you haven't gotten the random event.
Spritzie Posted December 22, 2009 Posted December 22, 2009 Oh god now it's hard! Apparently I left the hatch open and the worms snuck out at midnight or something! Was that after you took them to Lampwicks, when they stopped glowing? If that's the case, I think there's different messages from him when you go to pick them back up, that explains the reason why you get a new lantern and have to start all over with the worm search. I don't remember what he said when I went back for them the next day. Edit: I actually found my black worm from yesterday, about an hour ago. Now I'm just waiting on the rainbow one.

You need to search "Scrap Metal and Stone" Right now, it's selling for about 3,000NP and up. Edit: Another item needed for the creation of petpets is the "Miscellaneous Gears" Those are found in piles in Moltara City... random to find them too... except you have to spot a pile on the map, then click them. Those are selling in shops for about, 17,000NP and up.

Sprgrl122 Posted December 23, 2009 Posted December 23, 2009 I didn't know the worms could be stolen... :eh: I just started searching two days ago. Got 'em all except the rainbow one. I've refreshed so many times & I can't find it!! At least I found the pile of gears randomly while refreshing.
