Sugar Gar Posted July 7, 2009 Posted July 7, 2009 If you've been on Neopets at all for the past few years, you know what the Altador Cup, Games Master Challenge, and Daily Dare is. They're kind of predictable, and they kind of have been going on for a while. Do you look forward to these annual events? Or are you ready for TNT to change things up a bit? Denisa Posted July 7, 2009 Posted July 7, 2009 I kinda like em.At least I get a trophy at the end that will count if i try to borrow something..not to mention the Daily dare has been extremely profitable this year.Plus I remember the good old days when all we had was the ocassional plot/war, which i miss now.

In all honesty, I would gladly give all three up if it meant we did more plots. My first plot (The Tale of Woe) was really fun to do, even though I was young and had no idea what I was doing at the time. It would be nice if TNT made another plot so I could actually complete it.
Reve Posted July 8, 2009 Posted July 8, 2009 I absolutely love the Altador Cup, and the last Daily Dare was pretty fun. (I haven't really participated in a Games Master Challenge to my knowledge.) They're something big to look forward to and break the monotony of daily Neopets routine, and more trophies for your lookup. xD; But I'd muchmuchmuch rather have more plots, preferably one involving at least some fighting in the BD -- the Maraquan one back in '05 was awesome.

It updates at midnight NST (opposed to a random time, on a random day)... Also, the last plots were really lame... So I'd stick with events :P

I've never joined the games master challenge. I like them since they're a bit different from the normal daily stuff, so yea, I think they're cool :)
tomoe Posted July 8, 2009 Posted July 8, 2009 events are nice, but a little too much. having both the daily dare and games master challenge are kind of repetitive and you could chop one out and replace it with something different. i much prefer long, in depth plots. but apparently that's too much to ask for these days.

I know that the last two have been pretty lame, but if TNT didn't devote so much time and resources to the annual events, maybe the plots would be better. As for my actual opinion on the annual events: I don't like the AC. That probably has a lot to do with me not really liking oraganized sports, and I don't really like the games that much. I hate YYB. I kind of like the GMC and the DD, but I find them to be time-consuming, and they pull me away from my normal routine.

Shadaw the Rampage Posted July 9, 2009 Posted July 9, 2009 well why not bring back some old enemys and make plots arround them the aisha commander would make for a PERFECT plot device i mean what better then a angry commander wanted to get back there aisha mirrads? its brilliant, make the main prise a mirriad so that you have a shot at getting a old item that isnt getable now. like for instance a muffin man hat, or gloves, or a dung thrower. i mean common who WOULDNT take part in that event?
Denisa Posted July 9, 2009 Posted July 9, 2009 well from neopets point of view that would mean to mock the old players that have those items and are now priceless.and overthrow an entire 'economy'..and they're doing that just fine with tarla.and all those items you just said are pretty much worthless in the battledome and are only cute for galleries....well some Faerie Acorns i won't mind those at all for a Faerie Slingshot
