naalaro
Black pawkeet slots, what a horrible, evil idea they have introduced into neopia. Ive seen games whcih resolves around luck and chance, but pure, unsolicitated copying of the casino slot machine?? All the vices of gabling...TNT, you are out to ruin neopians huh? That doenst mean im not guilty, i tried my hand at the slots, and its dark alllure was horrible as it was tempting. Lost 5 thousand at it, but its ok since i went in with 400 over thousand at hand...but the whole idea...losing 5000 to another neopian may be hs whole day's earnings...and one experience is enough...this game, is as bad as what gambling is all about... Already there are 4 million plus plays...and i cannot stress its negative influence. TNT, this is low.
Masaryk
I also gave this game a shot, after hearing about what a great moneymaker it's supposed to be. Virtually every game guide for BPS suggested guaranteed daily wins of 20,000+ np. I am horribly unlucky at games of chance, though. With each loss, I felt compelled to play again to try to win it back, but i just kept losing more and more until I ran out of plays. I lost a grand total of 14,000 np yesterday. Thank goodness there is a play limit, since I probably would have kept going in an attempt to win back some of my losses. The worst part is that I want to give the game a second chance, just because everyone raves about it so much. It's really quite addictive, unlike most of the Neopets gambling games. pipdoubledip
Haha... I'm down 10000 Neopoints. :( It sure is addictive, and I have resolved to stay away from it from now on. Perhaps TNT think that it's about time Neopians started to take some responsibility with how they govern themselves around casino games etc. It's very likely there will be a lot of criticism to follow! lazycrazykitten
I've actually won more than I've lost for that game so far. Don't know if I'll continue playing as the odds are I'll end up losing lots of money on it, but so far I've done okay.
Ruto
Hasn't Black Pawkeet Slots been around the site before? Maybe I'm thinking of something else... Anyway, I don't see a problem with it. Honestly, it's your choice if you want to blow all of your neopoints on luck and chance games. Can't really blame TNT for that.
kss15
I have absolutely no problem with gambling games. I tried this game, won a very little np and I might play it again..someday. I don't really like playing games where you have the potential to lose a lot of np.
hrtbrk
Anyway, I don't see a problem with it. Honestly, it's your choice if you want to blow all of your neopoints on luck and chance games. Can't really blame TNT for that. Fully agreed. It's not TNT's fault if you have no self control. I've won well over 40,000 from there and I've only gone up to the 100 spins a day once (the first day). For me personally, I set a 2,000 dollar limit where if I start at 30,000 and get down to 28,000 I will stop. If I win a thousand or whatever, it's always 2,000 under that. If it's reached, I stop and play something else. It's not hard.
Lia Seeya
Agreed. Like in the real world, there's gambling and whatnot. Up to you whether you can stop yourself before it's too late. *shrugs*

Its not a personal take on whether you have self control or not, i suppose im guilty for 'having no self control' since i decided to give it a shot and ended up partially drunk in its influences. Rather, im concerned about the entire gambling element that makes no attempt to disguise itself as a game fit for a site aimed at children. Doubt i'll go back into that one, why its promoted as easy money making is beyond me, its casino style gambling. You always lose in the long run, not mentioning the psychological stimulus of the game which is decidedly unhealthy. On another note of course, its better for kids to learn about the dangers of such gambling styles in virtual land than the real world...i suppose its a nip in the bud strategy if you think about it that way. Anime
Yes, Morgan is right, this game is a revamp. It was taken down forever ago beacuse it was possible to cheat on it. And, while I see your concern for the younger players, users under 13, regardless of permission contracts do not have access to such games. And if you have trouble controlling yourself, just go in with your max and don't have a ton of NP on hand to waste.
ΩCCΩ
But I am under 13 and I could play the game. Anyways, even that I am under 13 I managed to lose only about 50 NP. PS: I think that you can gain all the lost money from restocking again ^_^ since you are so good at it.
Ruto
Is your account age under 13, or did you lie about your age? xP
Sapphy the Swamp Witch
Lol yeah I can't play it, nor have I even bothered to try to xD. Anyway, it's kind of to help Neopia, isn't it? You know, to help with all the inflation and such...
Stephé
Uh... I just played it. *hides* And I'm under 13. :O How could this happen?!
ΩCCΩ
Even me and I am really 12 years old and so is my account.

Maybe TNT forgot to put the under-13 restriction on this game? If so, someone should write and tell them.
Xepha
I know many Neopians who are happy to see that the slots are back. They had 2 slots machines on the site before they were taken down because people were cheating. It took about a year to see 1 back on the site. As for me, I'm not addicted to the game. I will play from time to time to kill the boredom, and with a set limit of say, 20k to gamble. The first very high jackpot (of 81 Millions NP) was won by a charter member. Anime
That's odd- When they released it, there was a big "Users under 13 cannot play" thing above the game. That vanished. yes, that should be reported...
Antjie
I am againt gambling IRL, I have seen and heard too many sad stories of people gambling out their whole sallary and then have nothing to live on for the rest of the month, saying that, i dont say there is anything wrong having a bit of fun. Seeing Black pawkeet slots on Neopets first actualy amazed and shocked me, i mean, most peeps here are kids and kids aint supose to gamble. Then I thought about it a bit... One can see it as a learning curve. You WILL loose all your NP's if you dont set any limits or have no control over your gambling. You spend hour and hours playing hard games to earn precious neopoints and if you spend it all on gambling you deserve to have nothing if you dont stop in time. Decide before the time how much you want to give back to TNT, say 1000 NP or 10 000 NP's and have fun wiht it, win some and loose some and have fun, be willing to loose all 10000 points for an hour of mindless fun, that way you CANT say you lost, you had fun and you Paid for it but NEVER go and get more Points becasue you feel winning the jackpot is jsut around the corner
Jenny ^_^
I really like the slots, although I don't really win much on it, maybe 2 or 3k a day. I have a rule though: I don't take any money out of the bank to play. If I want to play or if I want to keep playing after I lose all my money, I have to win the money from other games first. If I don't feel like playing any other games then I can't bet anymore. So far it has worked pretty well for me, and even though I don't make much money I don't spend much either. I'm really just in it hoping to win the jackpot :laughingsmiley:
Sapphy the Swamp Witch
Hmm yeah, I tried playing it and I could xD. I really have no idea how gambling games work, though, so I'm nowhere near getting addicted xD.
1tomread1
one thing i like about the slots is that isn't real money we're playing with, seeing how addictive this is and how easy it is to lose so much money can act as a deterrent...
carlisted
in a day i actually made about 17000nps from this game i guess some people just get lucky and some dont
Antjie
see carlisted, that is now exactly my point... Peeps hear you really had a good day and won good "money" They dont hear how hard/easy it was, how much you had to put in, how much you lost, how long it took. Some people will jsut see: "oh yeah, easy big money" Like Tom said, lucky its jsut "playmoney", bad thing is, people do the same thing in the real world. The principle of gambling remains the same everywhere... No "casino" will ever loose in the long run.... you get paid out 17K points, 1000 of us have to "pay" for it :) (dont jump on my head, i also enjoy giving a few points away on the slots :P )
FutureTXTurkey
Wow so much controversy and I specifically was not playing this game on the principal that I think the whole Pirates thing is a little overdone on Neopets. Now I feel obligated to go check this game out...see what all the fuss is about. I have mixed feeling about gambling in real life, but at the end of the day Neopets is just a game so...
