I bought 12 Lutari Beads..

Well less than 24 hours ago I bought the following Lutari beads:

 

Red Ranaka Bead

Red Urapa Bead

Red Oranu Bead

 

 

Green Urapa Bead

Green Oranu Bead

 

 

Yellow Urapa Bead

Yellow Matu Bead

Yellow Ranaka Bead

Yellow Oranu Bead

 

 

Blue Ranaka Bead

Blue Urapa Bead

Blue Oranu Bead

 

A lot of people want to know if it is worth it. Since I got them my REs have doubled, no kidding, I keep finding items on the floor. I haven't been playing a lot of flash games but it increased one of my NP scores by 100NP (the original was 407 and it got raised to 507) already. I haven't tried buying anything from the shops yet, either.

 

So far I think it's working out pretty nicely! :D

Could I ask how much it cost you? And did you buy them individually or as a set?

Not to answer for Mimi, but when I bought beads a while back, the lowest you could buy one for was 115,000 from the TP. I've seen at least one store now who sells them for about 90-99K.

I got most of them for around 99,900 but I think two or three were 115k like Jikuu said.

 

I bought 6 of them in a set, including the 2-3 that were a little more and then the rest I bought in a shop.

I told myself that I wasn't going to spend any NP for a while, but this has me tempted. I've been getting a lot of really good REs lately, and I only have two beads on my talisman. I don't know if it's related or not, but I'd like to keep getting more of the awesome REs.

Wow I had no idea you could get them from shops. Now I'm going to shop around instead of getting them from a trade. So glad this thread has been posted and that I didn't do an impulse trade lol (They had 6 for 900,000)

Hmmm. What to do? I really would like to get them, but I just started making headway on saving neopoints again. I've bookmarked that shop. Maybe I should wait a bit and see if others think that the benefits outweigh the cost. I don't know. In the past week, I've had three awesome REs (a Nerkmid and two Petpet Paint Brushes). If the beads really do increase REs, then it really might be worth it.

Is twelve that maximum number of beads the talisman can hold? That would mean around 1,2 million NP.

It really depends i suppose, im tempted, but since i dont spend that much time on neopets these days, i dont have to get them now if its for the sake of REs, although since im a restocker, all the more i should get them sicn ei'll be refreshing pages a lot. So its pretty much sitting on a fence for me. The prices wont be dropping or inflating anytime so i dont worry.

 

However, i do wonder if there are any documentations of the beads. Im currently depositing over a million into stocks. Spending a good part of that money on the beads seems silly seeing that i stand to gain much more in the long run with near 2 million in stocks when im done.

Actually there are 20 beads total but one you cannot buy, you can only get it for signing up with Neopets Mobile. Also there are a couple of them that are worth 1 mil EACH, I believe. So it would technically be about 3.7 million, but a little bit more because some beads are more than 100k.. So about 4 mil. would be my estimate? I could be a little off, though. :S

Thanks for those links Mimi.. I just bought a bunch of beads yesterday (spent almost a mil) - but Im kind of leary to buy some more right now. lol. Ill read up on it and then decide.. It would be nice to get some REs since the best REs I get are codestones on the "floor". lol.

Has anyone tried using the Neopets Mobile service or gotten any successful referrals out of it? I am curious about the beads that come about due to working with that service. Unfortunately, you can't look at someone else's Lutari Talisman to judge, and I heard around here that Neopets Mobile is kind of defunct.

I used to have mobile but I never got a bead.. It was when it first came out. It was somewhat fun but like when you earned prizes it kept telling you that you could win this or that overadn over again but when you got online only like one or two of the items were actually there. Plus it racked up a MAJOR phone bill!

Maybe I am underestimating the value or RE's or what some of the other beads do, but I'm just still not thinking it's worth it.

I could buy a lot of avatar items, or a paint brush, a bunch of codestones or whatever else with that kind of money.

 

On the other hand I didn't know the beads did anything until I read this topic. I thought they were just for show...

I bought a couple of them ...because it was on my to-do list and had forgotten about them...now to see if they actually work.

i have been considering getting the beads for a while too...

i read one of the sites that mention them as a guide...

 

if anyone wants to know -

red= strength (increasing NP amounts in games)

blue=dimplomacy (haggling power at shops)

green=luck (at getting random events)

yellow=speed (which doesn't tell me what the benefit is for)

 

hope that helps...if wanting one of these events to occur....then specialise in getting that color bead...
