I'm not really into it. Haven't really tried. But I have a good friend who used to do it for a living for the Summer Instutitute for Linguistics. They go into areas where the languages have never been written down and give the people a written language (to help preserve their spoken language from dying out) and she designed the fonts for the translaters. It was really neat to watch her at work.

May I add something here? When making animated avatars you may want to know that some of us can't handle seeing them. I have brain damage in my visual cortex and so I have to cover up the avatars that move when I see them (this is the same reason I block ads on my computer and don't watch TV - it gives me a headache and makes me a little dizzy). I just thought you might like to know. Sometimes I just skip past the posts of people with animated avatars. Most people with this problem probably won't say anything, so I though I'd mention it here just so you know fewer people might read your posts. Please don't let this discourage you if you want one though. Just FYI.

I've heard that sometimes you have to wait for a year for certain stocks to go real high and then some still don't. That's why I try to sell some at low points, like 30, because I found that many go up to 30 or 40 then come back down to the sell range and I could have sold and rebought. It is a risk, but at least we rarely lose our initial investment. I like to have lots of money invested in there just in case and then I don't consider that money part of my "wealth". That way it isn't tempting to sell too low. ...those were just a couple other thoughts I had. I yes, I never by more than 5 lots (5000) of one stock unless nothing else is at 15 np that day.

No, I've never heard of it. Was it like a plot? I'm guessing it is over now. I'm glad for this website because there are somethings that I miss on neopets.

The best way to find things in the current price range is to go to www.neoitems.net/idb/ and enter your price range and it will show you all the items that have been reported in that range. It has pictures, what the item is (battle magic, petpet, furniture, toy, etc) to make things really easy. Oh, one tip, when entering the prices on that site do not use commas.

Personally, in the choosing I would go for the "wow" factor. Something that someone will go "wow, look what I won" - even though it is most likely they will sell it - it gives them a warm fuzzy feeling if it is something that looks nice or looks like something valuable. It is good to give someone something to feel good about and will help them have a positive impression of your guild. Also, I've found that nice looking items tend to sell for more too.

Yeah, I only have crunch bars once or twice a year. I guess if I have a chocolate snack it is usually peanut M&Ms or Reeces cups or just a bit of fudge. It is all just a bit too sugary for me to have often though.

Oh no! :O I rarely had to give my pets anything else. Now They'll have to eat the omletes I've been saving up to sell (why "saving up" I have no idea though). :sad02: Oh well, at least they won't go hungry.
