I'm not even sure if I missed a day! I come on everyday but for some reason I had one island left to be retrieved for the crewduku thing. It's confusing and if I was stupid enough to completely miss out well I guess I deserve it... -_-

I don't think it's unfair because the FAQ mentionned that taking part into the event every day would give you a bonus...

I am assisting with the search for Krawk Island, but I wasn’t able to search all of my available sectors in one day. When I come back, will I still be able to search those sectors?

If you miss a day or cannot complete the search in all of your available sectors, you will still be able to search those sectors on another day. However, we have a feeling that there will come a point at which you will no longer be able to search sectors. So pay attention and come back often. Also, keep in mind that if you complete all of your searches every day, there may be an even more handsome reward awaiting you. That is, if we ever find Krawk Island at all.

Also, if I had a busy life that was preventing me from getting online for a day or two, I would see it as something positive. Electronic devices take so much space in our lives, that it's necessary to disconnect ourselves every now and then.

The other ones on the Trading Post are advertised for 130-140k.

We are only officially hiring for content. But if we spot someone that applied for content that we think would do awesome in another department, we might refer the applicant to that said department. :)

I don't know if you consider your pet to be more a male or a female, so I can't advise on the royal color.

It's not something that we enforce a lot... but it would be American English if we did. :P

Well I know that I need Ian to be around. And he's away from his house for 10 days (with limited internet access), so at the earliest people will start getting acceptance letters (for a trial period) in 2 weeks.

Although, I'm already skimming the worst applications. The sample of content is mandatory. If I don't see it in the application, it's automatically rejected.

Is it possible that you never properly activated your account?

I think I recall that similar problems occured if you forget to validate your account by clicking on a link in a email they send you after you register.

Not a problem with us.

We keep the content application opened at all time. (But we only do advertising for it once in a while.)

Two questions:

 

One: I know it says you should be 'active', but would I be able to write whenever I feel like it (In Others Words, not often).

 

Two: Would I be able to start a French part of the site instead if I was hired (I'd probably be more active then, just translating stuff instead of writing it)

 

And if I needed to, absolutely urgently, I probably could be up at 12:00 NST, but only if urgently needed. I would, however, be available at 2:00 AM NST often.

The word active can have many meanings. But basically we prefer if people are able to check on the forums staff chat areas, their emails and neopets news on a regular basis. We also prefer if our staff members stay in touch with us through IMs, Emails, PMs, forum threads or IRC on regular basis.

As far as producing new content is concerned, the guideline is 1-3 new pages or major rework per month. But as I said before, we are pretty understanding and this quota is flexible. As long as you show up and keep in touch, we consider you active.

About the translation, I'm unsure if that's something we would be interested to do in a near future. I do speak French as my primary language, so that's something I could probably work on as well if we were going with that idea. I guess that if you apply, you would need to write a special note about your idea and provide details about it. Then I'd need to discuss the project with Ian before we take a decision.

I haven't been working on trophies lately...

I checked on the score on August 1st and I didn't see anything I could top. I guess it's easier to work on trophies when everyone is busy with school. ;)

The one thing about pet trading is to be patient. It also helps if you post what you are seeking for your pet (e.g. seeking Pirates, Maraquan and Chocolate only.) With a lot of bumping, I'm sure you will be able to trade Yuwr for a lovely pet. :)

We are always pretty understanding with our staff members about real life events too. (e.g. Exams, vacations, family drama, accidents...)

can you be more specific about what the job would entail? I'm not quite sure what you mean by midnight events...

It's pretty much what Izzy said.

Midnight events are things that come back year after year, and a couple surprises from TNT like the Krawk Island Event. It includes the Games Master Challenge in November, the Advent Calendar every day of December, the Daily Dare every day of March, the Altador Cup in June-July. Those are the main stuff that are hard to cover for people living in America since it falls during the night for us.

Additionally, content staff members take care of visitor tickets, fix outdate information, improve the code and content on current pages and write new content as necessary.

As everyone else on staff, you also have the opportunity to take part in our staff meetings and to pitch your ideas to improve TDN as a whole. We also encourage everyone to help with secret project in progress if they have free time on their hands.

I can tell that you put a lot of time in your drawing. It's beautiful and I wish you had won the Art Gallery trophy for it.

TNT have stated before that they don't have a preference for sort of drawing. Digital is not superior to traditional for them. However, there are less traditional artworks being submitted in general, so that's why you see it less often around the Art Gallery.

I already got an application prepared and everything (one or two months in the making. xD), but my timezone is EST. I'm only up until midnight or 1 at the very latest on days off/weekends, or 10/11 on weekdays (when school is in session).

Though no promises on hiring people from EST (or America in general) this time. It's not our main focus.

Basically, we have just one (very handy and awesome) content staffer who can do midnight NST stuff for us on a regular basis.

The content team to do list is always growing and we are always seeking talents to improve our content pages, fix incorrect information, improve HTML and CSS codes, write JS scripts, etc.

The cheapest on the super shop wizard is 2,300 NP and the 10 lowest prices of a 3rd Annual Neopies Golden Trophy average out to: 2,442 NP.

I'm really looking forward to read applications. :)
