  1.

Wish I could say the same, but whenever I go under a flat rate, it's due to the Apple Bobbing (multiple times have I gone to -300 there, since I don't like losing change into it...but it still takes money randomly, even if I win something).

Ah, yes, I mentally count Dailies that can take NP in the same category as "REs" because of the similar randomness between them.

  2. Probably just something you'll have to wait out. Seems to be related to the neopoints-issues a lot of people are having, going by some comments on the relevant threads here (the behaviour--things either not updating or actually updating but then switching back-and-forth between correct info and old info for a looooong time--seems to be neigh identical and likely points, in my opinion, towards either communication issues between the Neopets' servers or one or more of the servers consistently lagging behind the others)

  3. From what I have so far been able to tell, whichever part deals with the calculation/track-keeping does what it should do, because with enough time/effort, the correct amount does show up. (I've been keeping an eye on my own NP to keep track of if anything went to the void. If I've lost any NP, it must be less than 10 or I would have noticed).

(Unlike several other times. I've so far lost nearly 10k to the lag in money taken out of shop's till that never showed up. Was a couple of weeks ago, though.)

  4. You're not the only one. Whichever part of Neopets deals with communicating through how many neopoints on hand someone has seems to be having some issues. I have been steadily running into this issue for almost four hours now with the neopoints on hand constantly lagging between one and five changes (e.g. me getting NP from shop till, or games, or REs, or my NP on hand decreasing due to buying something) behind, then rendering correctly for a bit--rarely lasts more than two-three pageloads, though--and then either starts lagging behind again or even reverts to one of the numbers previous to the most recent correct rendering.

  5. Yeah, it keeps constantly lagging behind, though anything dealing with granting/removal of Neopoints tends to reset it to the correct number for a bit (either immediately or in a refresh or two). Otherwise, it now takes several refreshes if it shows correctly at all. Really annoying since this is the part of the day where I predominantly deal with things like "making my daily target for NP added to bank"; "remove NP from till from overnight sales"; "reprice items where needed" and "play games to add to cash on hand for restocking". Oh, and "get part of the 10 Igloo Garage Sale buys done now so I can just focus on a single shop when I get around to actual restocking".

  6. Has happened to me a few times as well. Mostly by means of REs that take a flat-sum rather than a percentage, though through lag a few times as well.

Had a different NP-issue myself just a couple of minutes ago. Withdrew Neopoints from mu shop till, but it kept looping back to the amount I had on hand previous to that removal for a few minutes. First load of a page gave old NP, then a reload showed the right amount. Moment that I put some NP in bank, it stopped, but still really weird.

  7. It means I can visit at anytime. The only limit is: painting once a week. Other then that it doesn't matter what time of the day I go.

The guard will invite you in saying: "Welcome to Moltara's Magma Pool! You must be a true master in the ways of Moltara. One of your Neopets may have a dip in the Magma Pool." see the pictures here: http://thedailyneopets.com/articles/magma-pool/

I just realized I have side accounts that might unlock it, so I am going to try that, if it's possible on sides without doing illegal stuff.

I'm going to find out my time first on that account though, just in case. It just won't help with figuring out if it has changed in the transition, since I never knew the time to begin with.

According to an earlier editorial, you cannot earn full access on your side account(s) legally, though using the sneaking-by-while-the-guard-is-sleeping method is permitted. Let me see if I can dig up the exact editorial.

EDIT: Issue 433, Editorial, near the bottom of the page.

  8. Oh wow that's actually a pretty nice prize in addition to the Gift of NC and the Stocking Stufftacular prize (which I'm not crazy about but hey I can always give it to someone who didn't participate in the thing).

What a poor time for me to have a name beginning with 'r' tho.

Maybe I can get one of those capsules with the neat background.

Want to swap and have a username starting with 's' instead? :P

(You'd have to figure out some magical way to switch usernames on our accounts but not the actual accounts themselves, though. Being banned is not on my Neopets-to-do list for 2015. XD)

As to the prizes... on their own they might not be that amazing (though I would hardly call them bad, either), but when you combine it with the avatar for the gift-tag portions and the fact that we did get items for each set of donations... not bad at all.

  9. Rapidly approaching 4M liquid, not certain where I stand all things combined but probably between 6-8M. I definitely do not consider myself rich as of yet, but I do figure I likely am above average when it comes to earning speed, currently moving from averaging 1 mil liquid added per month to averaging 1 mil liquid added every 20 days.

  10. Lag seems to be more-or-less back for the moment (though not as extreme as during the worst of the past few days), but since the site is still going down with some frequency in short bursts, it wouldn't surprise me to learn that TNT is still doing some background maintenance and such.

At least, I hope that is the case, and not the maintenance being done but having had close-to-zero effect.

  11. Oh, cool! :D I was having trouble accessing the site tonight and thought it was just my computer. I should have checked here or their FB first, oops.

I'm glad to hear that they're working on it. :)

I believe not thinking of checking their facebook can be excused. I believe that out of the past twenty or thirty times the site went down, they managed to have a message up there all of once or so? XD

Site looks to be back up and so far is much improved in loading speed. (Though as it's only back up for a few minutes now, there probably aren't that many folks online. Will have to see if the improvement holds up during the busier hours)

  12. Ah, in that case, the current downtime is probably aforementioned maintenance. Would be nice if they manage to fix it or even just reduce it.

(I have been affected a lot. Probably because I spend a ridiculous amount of time online each day and usually am either playing Neopets or multitasking including Neopets. Sometimes albeit rarely, there's no lag. Other times, it's just 5-10 seconds lag--annoying if you're restocking, slightly annoying if you're playing one of the refresh-a-lot-games like NeoQuest or Pyramids, but otherwise quite well possible to ignore.

Other times, sending a game-score takes over two minutes. Completing a shop-wizard search takes one. Loading a shop takes two-and-a-half. Re-pricing all items in my shop takes over four hours because SW'ing around 80 items and actually refreshing the search often enough to figure out the current lowest price can well be 200-300 minutes.

If they could just fix it up so that the last category of lag gets fixed, I'd be pretty happy. I can handle waiting a few seconds. Constantly waiting a few minutes, on the other hand, gets annoying really fast)

  13. I think anyone who will post on this thread will talk about saving neopoints, so I would like to ask how rich is everyone here and how much time did you have to spend to get that amount?

I currently have 3.65M in my bank, which cost me 103 days to build up, including a few days I could for one reason or another not get online. If I had spent no NP for personal use at all, I would most likely be at roughly 4.5M right now.

Current earning speed averages out to 50-70k per day.

  14. I hoard, though mostly just items I am granted through BD, dailies, REs etc. that are either useful or not worth selling. I rarely buy items for the sake of hoarding them in my SDB with exception of those I figure I'll need at some point (such as a bunch of cures and a handful of healing potions, some wearables, etc.).

  15. Jeez. When you mostly listen to metal, aggrotech, darkwave and such, nearly every song + in my pants gets either a violent or naughty meaning. XD

(Last few songs respectively: Atlantis as a Lover in my pants, Mountain of Doom in my pants, When Dream and Day Collide in my pants, Lady Temptress in my pants, Whatever that Hurts in my pants (no thanks...), Lucy in my pants, Ten Times Defeat in my Pants.)

  16. Charity corner helped me get well ahead of my personal schedule. Originally was scheduled to hit 5M by late Feb/early March. If I keep things up at my usual pace, I'll likely hit it around the end of the first week of February instead.

For now, the majority of my goals are related to building up the amount I have in bank--until I am at the highest interest percentage, I'm limiting my spending to amounts of Neopoints I am already ahead of schedule and even then won't easily spend larger amounts. Hoping to hit the 7.5M by late March/early April and 10M by mid to late May right now, though my "official" schedule says mid-April and early-mid June respectively.

  17. The prices of the toys and plushies that are given out in large amounts by the dailies, the battledome and random events will most likely be back to their normal/old prices again soon, simply because these have a much, much, much higher supply than demand. In particular those that are both given out a lot and are below rarity 90 will be likely to deflate back to original prices or close within a few days to two weeks tops. Some of those already are back below 25NP.

Those that are given out a lot but are rarity 90 or above will probably take a little bit longer because they both became a lot more inflated than other frequently-given-out toys and had a larger portion used up by the event. Take for example the Tyrannian Acara Plushie, a r90+ toy given out by the Tyrannian opponents in the Battledome. It peaked at around 40-42k and is now rapidly deflating. It's currently down to approximately 1k and falling. Still, it'll probably be a bit longer than the low-rarity-frequently-granted plushies/toys.

Low rarity toys that are either infrequently or not given out by dailies/REs/battledome may take a bit to drop back to their former levels. However, since they're currently not in the high demand they were in during the event and there is a steady supply through the main shops, they'll sooner or later drop back to original levels, especially because since they're currently worth more than usual, people can make some profit restocking them even if they normally would have ignored them. As a result, more of those that stock in the main shops get bought, supply increases, demand is low, prices drop. Since the majority of those are bought from the main shops with actual neopoints, however, they will be slower to drop since people are more invested in not making a loss on them. Otherwise, the speed at which they drop will likely be in good part determined by how many of them stock and at which price.

High rarity toys that are either infrequently or not given out by dailies/etc. will likely take a fair while to get back to former price-levels because they do not stock too frequently in the main shops and thus the amount of them in circulation will be slower to increase. On top of that, a lot of them were used during the event and there are a fair few people looking to replace plushies, resulting in an elevated demand compared to usual (but decreased compared to the event). If any toys don't go back to their original value, they'll almost certainly belong to this category, but those never were the "cheap" toys to start with.

  18. There's also Coal War Tactics and Terror Mountain Tilt missing from your list, as well as Food Club and Stamp Collector (which isn't really a game, just a trophy for collecting most stamps. There are several stamps below 10NP you could simply put in your stamp album to get that one showing).
