(Sorry if this has already been said) A friend tried to make a new sub account and apparently you can't sign up to Neopets - not sure if it's fixed now, but they tried putting in some silly names (like bluethfd5576_44 or something) and no matter how many times they put in untaken names, Neo wouldn't let them sign up. Glitch?

I'm sorry that happened to you! I have an account on DeviantArt, but don't really publish art. I just use it to support my friends and follow artists I like - generally, I haven't experienced anything quite that bad. But people are trolls, everyone has come to this realization, no matter how depressing the reality is. Social Media is the perfect platform to release pent up anger, emotions and, well, just jerkiness - without the ramifications or consequences the real world would have dealt them back. It's pretty sad, really. I know you feel angry at them, but I can't help feel sorry for them. Obviously these people have problems - why else would you push others down to make yourself feel better? That's just wrong.

Hope it doesn't happen again! :)

Neopets just went offline for me just a second ago! Goodness me, this is confusing. haha

Remember we don't own avatars - whether you have it, or a newbie has it, doesn't really affect the exclusivity of it really. That newbie won't be a newbie forever - one day, they could very well be admirable veterans themselves, and the newbies then won't have that avatar, so its not like it's being handed out to everyone forever. Plus, as fun as a new avatar is, if there is a Habitarium one for example, the last thing the TNT team want to make is another one for something like a transitional move. It's probably not that exciting at the office. Ha ha

But oh my goodness, I am so excited to find out what becomes of all our hard work on Habi. A trophy, an avatar, a site theme, an exclusive item or wearable, I want it all! No, no, I'm not greedy ... I WANT IT ALL. Ha ha :)

I got the avvie from the previous Neo meltdown, but it doesn't bother me that others can now get it. Yes, yes, the events were different - but the effects are, essentially, the same - we can't go on Neopets... We had to survive longer than 24 hours without it... fend for ourselves in the 'real world'... I don't really see a difference, other than we were warned this time so we could prepare; but honestly, who can truly prepare for horrors such as this?!

 

I look at really old, retired avatars - some that I had on old, long lost accounts - and long to be able to use them - so giving others the chance to get that makes me happy, not miffed. It's not like we can sell avatars, they're just nice to collect and reminisce with.

 

I can understand why it feels a bit annoying though. I mean, I would have loved any new avatar (please let there be a habi one!) but I don't think it's unfair. :)

I'm still waiting for Neopets to actually log me on, so an avatar is the least of my concerns. Ha ha I do hope we get a Habi one, however. ;)

Oooh how annoying! I've tried on Firefox, Google Chrome and, yes, even Explorer (desperate times call for desperate measures) but nothing loads. Eventually the browser times out. Oh gosh oh gosh, I don't want to miss out on anything! D:

I can't even get my browser to load Neopets! PLEASE tell me I'm not the only one?

Ha! I tried IcePets and Marapets and left less than an hour after joining. I was so bored, so unbelievably bored, and nothing matches up to Neo. I don't think anything will, to be honest. Not until they quit making bad copies of Neo and actually opt for something more original.

 

Besides that, I'm exploring this thing called 'productivity' - I don't like it.

It's already Saturday here - I was hoping Neo would return in time for the weekend. I guess Australia is a little off their time. :( Ha ha been twidling my thumbs all morning.

Haha I know that feeling. Well, since Neo is still kaput at the moment I think I shall begin my comic art, if I ever get out of bed that is.

I feel like Neopia would maybe look like a cool abandoned Amusement Park - like Movie World. Except, I can imagine all the faeries and villains and such being off-duty, helping pack their things, and sitting having coffee together.

Oh My Gosh.

I am so inspired to make a comic now.

Just - Just imagine. Dr Sloth having tea and buscuits with Lord Darigan and Pant Devil, discussing how he feels such and such a plot 'would be a wrong move for his character - I'm feeling like a new hair style could be nice'.

And Fyora in her Pajamas drinking coffee while she listens to Lord Kass talking about 'taking the wife and kids for a nice vacation through the transition'.

I may have gone to far, but now that I'm picturing all the Neopets characters like this, I can't stop! Ha ha

 

Edit: And yes, I finally have some time to be productive. Also one of my first thoughts! ha ha

:whistle: Ha ha so the transition of Neopets over to JumpStart and driven me to drastic measures - although I feel pretty hermitish for not realizing forums like this existed earlier.

Change is scary, but exciting! I'm devastated to see Habi go (and flabberghasted I didn't try for level 50 sooner - honestly, the Neopoints I've heard people earn from it is crazy!) but excited to see new things come in. As a user who can't play flash games to save my life or have the intellectual skill or patience to work out Stocks or Food Club, etc, I reveled in using Habitarium so I hope something similar pops up soon.

While I wait I suppose I will have to focus on college. How droll. Ha ha

 

So how are all of you coping with this Neo temporary closure? I feel like I'm in transit while it comes back on - in some kind of Neopia Airport.
