Anyone else not able to collect their daily reward? it just tells me what it gave me after plot completion : ( are they phasing it out?

If I take perspective into account, especially when looking at the lines from the Eiffel tower and the direction of the trees, boy wonder looks like he's standing under a really weird angle at the very least. Oh, and he must be standing on a hill considering that not only is the base not visible, but most of the second segment isn't either. For it to be that close yet have those parts not visible, he must be standing significantly higher than the height the Eiffel tower's starting at.
 
Light direction also doesn't seem to completely match with the light/shadows on him, but that could be accounted for by trees outside view.

They've done that for years, I believe. xD When I had my first account they were still doing it-- perhaps someday they'll actually give us the item? lol

In true Lia fashion, I am late with putting this up but the idea only occurred to me yesterday. I wanted to warm up my drawing hand and ended up drawing the Neopets of a few of the forum users. How did I pick them? Mostly from previous interactions, or just by poking around the forums and picking randomly. :P Now, I want to draw more Neopets! Presenting...

I enjoyed drawing different Neopets because I'm so used to drawing my own for comics, so drawing other people's pets is good practice for drawing different pets!
 
I also wanted to give back to the TDN community. Even though I'm nowhere as active as I used to be, I still have great memories of this forum and website. Plus, it's Christmas time! It's always fun to do something nice for someone on Christmas. :D

- There are only nineteen (19) slots, and I can't take in any more requests if it fills up. :(
- I won't draw these in elaborate detail, which means I won't include some of your pet's accessories. (E.g. I might draw your pet's fabulous hair, but I won't add in their super lacy glowy glowy hat.)
- This is done in an anthro-style, meaning that I'll give them a neck and shoulders. :P
- You don't have to link back to my Neo lookup, as long as you don't claim the image as your own.
 
How-to:
- Comment/post below with: your pet's name/nickname, a link to their pet lookup, and a reference image
-- If you want me to draw your pet as your dream colour (e.g. Royal), that's fine. Maybe use DTI to show me what you want your pet's drawing to look like. (Thanks to Angelo for this idea!)
- Once I get maybe five requests, I'll put them through a randomiser and then draw them in order the randomiser gives me. (That means that the order of the drawings may not appear in the same order as the comments.)
- A new pet image goes up once the Neopets clock hits midnight!

I don't know if it's just me or if Neo is being super nice to people lately, but I got a pirate Draik morphing potion last week and this week I zapped my Ogrin and it turned into a blue Lutari.
 
I think I win Neopets, I should probably sign out and never return. I don't think it gets much better than that. :woot:

Putting the Lutari beads on your talisman could have many effects. Some can increase the neopoints you get from a game, randomly give you discounts at neopian shops, increase the random events you could get... You can buy Lutari beads in the auctions, trading post and the shop wizard (if youre lucky), but for the amount of neopoints you'd waste, they're not really worth it.

Ebola is a river in the Democratic Republic of Congo. The Ebola virus was named after that river because one of the first outbreaks occurred in a village near that river.
 
Yes, there is a serious Ebola epidemic right now. However, that pet is nearly two years old. It's possible it was named after the river instead of the virus, or maybe it was a random combination of letters that mimicked a real thing. Or maybe it was named after the Ebola virus -- but in a context in which there was no current outbreak, no one dying of it.
 
I have a friend whose real-life cat is named Yersinia. As in Yersinia pestis, the bacteria that caused the plague (the Black Death) -- because cats were domesticated to control the rodent population, the carriers of the vector of the plague. My friend is a doctor. Many people in the health sphere have "gallows humor"; it helps them cope. It's not meant to be disrespectful, but I can get how some people think it is.
 
Naming a pet after a virus is not necessarily even meant to be "gallows humor," either. I know many virologists who really respect the lifeforms they work with. They're fascinated by how such a short snippet of genomic material, coding just a handful of proteins, can reproduce and thrive. Ebola is actually relatively simple, startlingly so, considering the devastation it wreaks. I know it might seem weird to find something so small and so deadly beautiful, but it's not much different than people fascinated by poisonous snakes, or sharks, or spiders.

Today I finally got Techo Cheesy and Evil Coconut during my dailies. :woot: I got Techo Cheesy on second attempt then went straight to the Coconut Shy and knocked it over. Whoooooo, good daily day. I haven't gotten a random avatar in about a month so it's great to finally get some :rolleyes_anim:

Leaving anything with unpredictable outcomes (REs, Dailies, luck-based games), 100k is still pretty easy.
 
Habitarium - Leave it on all day, I average about 60k a day, because my internet likes to drop out :P Easiest way to earn NP on any given day as it requires no extra effort or skill. Just the occasional maintenance Flash Games - The games themselves are variable, I tend to go by TDN's list to see which games are easily playable and have a good NP ratio. I aim for at least 15k a day off a set of Flash Games Faerieland Employment Agency - Once you get the hang of which jobs to go for, earning NP from them is pretty quick and easy. I average 30k off them easily. People forget about this, it seems a bit antiquated but also worth your while. Battledome - Granted, you don't always get the same amount of sellable items, fighting someone like Koi Warrior tends to average 5 codestones a day. That's easily 15k, more if you get red ones. A few thousand more if you also get Dubloons. They're all pretty quick and simple, and will earn you well over 100k a day. These plus anything you get off dailies, restocking, etc. should be more than enough to supplement your daily spending.

Throughout my life, I've had quite a few friends. They came and went, so that's no big deal, since it happens to all of us. But as you get older, you realize the friends you've made aren't like you. They're different. Whether it be their home lives, conditions they may have, things like that...This is what I'm worried about.
 
In recent years, I've had my share of roleplaying partners. Usually before we start, we'll greet each other, ask how one another is doing, etc. Just having a normal chat. Sometimes this lasts a while before we actually start roleplaying. One of my partners in particular just... has a lot of things going on in her life at the moment. I listen to what she have to say, and show her that I care. But my problem is that it gets to the point where I can't even talk to her. Sometimes she gives away just a little too much info about her private life (which I will not post on here or anywhere else), and it makes me feel bad for her because I know I can't actually help. And the fact that I'm not physically there for her worries me that one day she'll be gone. I've lost one friend to suicide, and I can't let it happen again.
 
I do this all the time. I feel like the only things I can say to her are "I hope you feel better" and "I'm sorry". I know, it's stupid to worry about someone you've met online, but I talk to her every day. This is how I am. I don't want to feel this way. I don't want to worry about every single person that comes into my life like this. I feel guilty that I can't help, whether I know them in real life or not.
 
If anyone is willing to share advice, I'm more than happy to take it.

I've been lurking the forums and the Neoboards because I am in such a good, generous mood right now. I've had good fortune this past week in my real life, and on Neo, and I just wanted to share it around.

It's something kind to do, plus it's a way of making new Neofriends. Search the forum and the Neoboards with me, and help somebody reach their mini Neo-goals and Neo-dreams.
 
I am currently collecting structures in the Habitarium (houses nests, storages, hospitals) for experience. I'm also collecting super neggs, armoured neggs, and brilliant sun and moon potions for Sandrea, as noted in my shop.
 
My mini-goal is to expand the coffee and tea part of my gallery and complete the medicine part of my gallery. I am one item away from completing the medicine part. I only need a set of extra thick goggles. So thankful for those who have already contributed to my current collections, so I wanted to do the same for others.

A strong electric current fills the room, crackling with powerful energy. When everything has settled, you see that there is something quite different about RammerJammer12. It looks like their level has gone up by 9! Wow!

That never happens for me! I had pretty much given up on the Coincidence. AND I had all of the things it asked for!! I feel like that makes up for the fact that the past 4 days it has asked me for multiple Brown Sauces.

I especially love the Mean Girls reference. heehee, awesome. This custom is actually what got me into NC trading... and into a spiral that will inevitably leave me homeless due to not being able to make rent. xD

well, if she's been frozen she had to do something wrong. Giving out items, holding contests, having members compete for prizes are not allowed in guilds. Messages do get deleted when you have your account silenced and I assume frozen. You won't be able to know who reported her. But it wasn't the fault of the person who reported her if she was the one doing some sort of freezable offense. Maybe you should consider other activities for your guild? 1 neopoint auctions could be a safer alternative to your activity. I'm not quite sure what your activity entailed but the rules of what you can and can't do when running guild activities can be kind of blurry. I would suggest checking out THIS page

I got that RE yesterday. I remember that plot, but sometimes forget whatever happened to old Xandra. I wouldn't mind seeing Brynnso back in action though. :)
