When I go to the deserted shore I like to try and look with my eyes for to see what I got, for example when I see gold, I know it's np. Today I couldn't find anything but the text said "A deserted shore stretches in front of you" I saw this and got really excited so I accidentally clicked it twice and had something pop up telling me I had already searched the shore today. I went to my inventory and low and behold, A PIRATE DRAIK EGG! :) YAYAYAYAYAYAYAYYYYAAAYYY!

It does exactly what the name suggests, automatically buys things from main shops so you don't have to i.e. it restocks for you. It is a program, it is illegal by Neopets rules, and therefore shouldn't be discussed in extent :)
I know I only quoted one reply, but both were good answers. I was a little worried about asking about it because I didn't want to break any rules, but thank you for answering :)

I was looking up guides on restocking and I stumbled across one where the guide was on a forum and the guide was talking about "ab" and the freeze rate of certain shops and I was really confused, cause restocking isn't against the rules. Then I noticed people replying talking about autobuyers, so clearly they're against the rules and help people cheat in some way. But I tried searching the term to see exactly what they do because I'm curious but I couldn't find much and I was just wondering what they do.
DISCLAIMER- I do not agree with or condone cheating and I'm not trying to obtain an autobuyer or cheat in any shape or form. I am merely curious about what they do.

WHOOOO-WEEEEE! I spun the Wheel of Knowledge the other day and won a Bronze Brightvale Job Coupon, I thought "Cool, last time I looked at those they were relatively expensive. I'm sure I could sell that for about 30k" I dropped it in my SDB for the time being and forgot about it until just now, then I price checked it and saw it's worth ~300k, yay! :)

What? Even if the grade can't be "officially" changed, she should be able to write a letter stating what the new grade should be well before the deadline. And official changes shouldn't take that long. I hope you can get it sorted out in the next week or so. Going to the department head and asking for their assistance is a good step if she doesn't follow through on Monday. Whatever else she has going on (she could be scurrying for a grant proposal), if she messed up your grade that badly, she owes it to you to correct it in good time, or at the very least write a letter to your program that the grade is wrong (even if she doesn't know what the correct one is yet). For goodness' sake, an "I" would look better than an "F," especially if the teacher said that the "I" was due to a grading mistake.
Believe me, my thoughts exactly. It's even worse because I made it dummy proof, the first written assignment she wanted turned in in RTF format, I did that and she emailed me saying she couldn't open the file, so I sent it again as RTF and Word format both on Blackboard and through a commercial email address of mine. Then she was able to access the file. This time, since it was so close to the date grades were to be submitted I didn't want to have this issue, I sent it as RTF and then in the comments section I copied my entire paper, references, cover page, everything. All she had to do was read it and type a few numbers lol. I might also request that they change the grade to "I" or something until the correct grade can be entered so I don't lose a potential spot in the program.
Update: My application for the nursing school, including my transcripts is due tomorrow May, 25 (since I'm writing this at 1 am technically this professor has two days to give me a note). However, I have not heard from her since Tuesday, May 21. I have sent her daily emails reminding her of the date I need to turn this note in asking her to send it to me and have heard nothing, before that she only sent me one email a day, two if I was lucky. I feel as though I've been more than patient. For anyone interested I've attached a copy of our emails below. I have no idea what to do now, no I have not called her supervisor yet I felt she was trying to remedy the problem and wasn't too bothered as long as she made sure to help me. I'm probably going to call her supervisor tomorrow. Also side note: the semester ended on the 9 and I gave her a few days for grades to be submitted, I checked my grade Monday and emailed her right after I saw them.

So my job is having an all store meeting where everyone in the store comes in beore we open and review the last year and set goals for the next year, and celebrate the employees. It's awesome! This year we're doing costumes and the theme is Superheros, upon asking they said I could dress up as anything that "is a superhero to you" so I'm going to be Optimus Prime and I'm building my costume so that it actually transforms, pics will be put on here soon. :) It's going really well! I did this before as Bumblebee so I'm really excited to see how Optimus turns out. Oh and the prize? A full sized arcade game with Mortal Combat and 79 other video games on it :)
So I just wrappped up the semester and I went to view my grades Monday, and it said I had an F for one of my classes, I tried to look on Blackboard at the grades and I had been removed from the course so I couldn't see them. I emailed my prof asking how I managed to fail the class and then contacted IT and asked if I could have access to the class again, the gave me access and I found out she didn't grade a paper worth 17% of my grade, she gave a zero for it even though it was turned in on time, I screenshotted this along with the due date, and the date I turned my paper in. She replied on Tuesday saying she'd get back to me on Thursday (today) but that I should be able to look at my grades myself. I relayed to her that I was booted from the course but regained access and then I noticed that she didn't grade my paper, but that I was willing to wait until she could assess the situation herself. Today she emailed me informing me that Blackboard is down for maintenance and IT wouldn't give her access to the class and told her she had to wait until Monday. I emailed her back saying I understood and explaining that the nursing program I'm applying for needs transcripts by May 25, and that they already have them but if my grade were to be changed I'd either need a way to let them know I didn't in fact fail the class or send them updated transcripts reflecting my new grade. I also offered to show her my screen shots in the meantime. She basically said no, and then explained to me that if it was a grade that wasn't put in the gradebook since grades were already submitted she'd have to make a request to change it and an official change would take several weeks. I'm going to wait until monday and see what happens, but if she admits that she's at fault I am going to contact the department head and file a complaint and request that they contact my school. Side note: my school only accepts applications once a year, so if I don't get in I have to wait til next year, which is fine. But if I don't get in because I "failed" a class according to my transcripts, I'm going to lose my mind.
tl;dr Building an Optimus Prime costume that actually transforms! :) Teacher forgot to enter a major grade, which resulted in my failing of the class. Nursing program application due May 25, offiicial transcripts won't be changed for a few weeks.

"Buddy pass" policies depend on the airline. My mom used to work for U.S. Air (but a while ago, so this may not be their current policy), and she had to submit a list of friends and families for whom she could get discounts. I come from a pretty big family, and I'm not sure she could even include all her kids and husband on her list; it was pretty small (about 5? people). Anyway, the deal was we could fly free standby (if there was room on the flight), or we could pay a percentage (10%? 50%? can't remember the number) of the regular fare to guarantee a seat (but this wasn't as good a deal as it sounds, because the "regular fare" was the highest price the airline ever charged for the seats, and we could often get them for the same price (or cheaper) than the discount by buying when tickets were cheaper).
I've known several other people who worked (or had friends working for) airlines, including my friend's fiance who's a pilot), and their discounts have always applied to only a few people. Otherwise, there would be too many employees starting side businesses by selling their "buddy passes." So... I think even if your coworker asks, you're not going to get the discount. Which puts you in a bit of an awkward situation, since he was so vague about it.
There are websites that predict when prices will change (one is farecast.com, though I've heard there are now better ones out there). If you monitor prices on such a site, you could check on a lunch break and casually mention when you see that prices have stabilized or are starting to rise that you'd better book your ticket today, to this same coworker. This will give him the opportunity to either 1) say "hey, let me call my buddy before you do that" or 2) say "yeah, you'd better" (implying he either talked to his buddy and couldn't get you the discount or never intended to talk to his buddy). If his buddy can hook you up with a cheap flight, that'd be awesome! But don't spend that money you've been saving for the ticket just yet.
Honestly that's what I was thinking, I mentioned this encounter to my friend last night and I said to her it really isn't feasible to just let anyone you know fly for a reduced rate and even more than that, someone you don't know. However, I talked to my mom this morning to wish her a happy mother's day and I mentioned how we're really slow at work right now, and she said she would pay extra for me to leave next week and take my vacation a little early considering how slow we are, which would get me out of the situation completely. Lol, I don't know though I'm going to look at a couple websites and do a little more comparing. Thank you!

So I'm going to be a little vague because I don't know if someone could get in trouble for this if what I'm about to say got around, though I highly doubt it will because I don't know anyone who plays neopets, and I don't want anyone to. Onwards with the story! Today I was at work and I was talking to one of my managers and we got on the topic of plane tickets from where we live to the other side of the country, we compared prices we both were either quoted or spent on our most recent trip (his price was about half the cost of mine, for anyone wondering) and I asked how far in advance he booked that flight and mentioned that I'm planning my trip for the end of June/early July and he said he booked his flight about a week or two ahead of time. Then he told me about the website he found it off of and I said I'd look into that, THEN he said something along the lines of "I have a friend who works for [insert airline company here] and if you give him enough advance, I think 30 days, he can book you a flight and only have you pay for the taxes." I said "Wow, that's a good deal! That's a good way to travel" and I was thinking he was just mentioning the good deals he gets on flights, cause that seems normal and is a good way to keep a conversation going, and then he said "Yeah, I'll have to give him a call" then I didn't really say anything for a second cause I was a little confused and then he followed that up by saying "Except, you'd probably have to fly out of [insert city about 2 hours away here] because that's where he works, but that's not that far of a drive" Then it made me think maybe he was talking about hooking me up with a cheap flight and that made me really confused. I don't know; what do you guys think? I provided as close to exact quotes as possible, so that I'm not deviating away from the actual context.

My yurble will be a male. He's going to have a really big heart and be loyal to those close to him, however he's also going to be really mischievous and stubborn. He is going to enjoy playing pranks on his siblings and aggravating them on a regular basis. I haven't really brainstormed much more than that yet though :P

I tried googling it but I can't seem to find any answers that are relevant. If I adopted a pet that was stuck in the pound and then abandon it at a later date, will it be stuck again? Or will it be able to be seen like normal?
I caught a pet that was stuck and found out it was someone's dream pet so I decided to adopt her out, however the new owner is having issues with her transfers, I was thinking if the pet would be stuck again after being abandoned again, maybe we could just do a pound transfer? Thanks in advance guys! :)

It is 1 billion NP because as long as its current owners do not discard it, it will NEVER restock in the cove. In other words there is a limited number of this item in circulation and many of its owners are no longer active (i.e. quit neopet). I do not know how many of these are made but it might be lower than 100 in Neopia.
To make matter worse, it is the strongest BD weapon in terms of raw power if you don't count Lord Darigan's sword.
So 1B NP is not really expensive for an item of such caliber.
Wow, I had no idea about most of this stuff. I didn't realize how limited the quantity was! I knew they were rare because I couldn't find any on the TP or anything! That's really interesting though! I didn't even realize it was so strong either!
I'm pretty in awe of the SuAP just because of how much it's worth.. I too would be very interested to know how much it used to be worth before it retired.
Yeah, I now have a new found appreciation for it as well! I think "pre-avatar" prices are always interesting because I remember years ago before secret avatars were even around I had a meowclops because it was the cheapest petpet I could find at around 3k and now it's in the MILLIONS!
Don't let the price deter you from attempting to get the avatar! Many people are gracious enough to lend for free on avchat. If you have a fairly reputable account, you have a decent chance at a lend.
Work towards upgrading your account. A lot of things lenders look at are high avatar counts, many trophies, plenty of site themes, neocash items, large galleries and nicely painted/customized pets etc
Thanks for the kind words! I'm pretty realistic and I don't think my current account it near reputable enough yet, but I'm currently working on it! I feel like a good goal is the adam avatar and then after I reach that many np use them to pay for more avatars/pbs and such :)
Well a 6-7 years ago it was already at like 500 million NP.
It (semi)-retired pretty fast actually, since there is only a fixed number of them created. In other words, there is no such thing as a "before retired" price. It was pretty much always in the hundreds of millions even before it sky rocketed to 1-2 billions. Anyone know the exact amount of them still left? Less than 25?
Now if someone who has it discard it, it might still reappear in the cove. Not 100% sure they still enable that "restocking" feature. Wish they released the ones that are stuck in frozen accounts.
Wow! That's incredible! It's really hard for me to fathom the idea that there are so little in existence. Also it would be cool if they did release the ones in frozen accounts :) The idea that there are so few and there are still some out there that are just stuck is a little ridiculous to me; but hey, it keeps the interest up and the price high :)

LAJDFKLASJFKLAJF Angry post! My ALMOST achievement today was my high score in faerie bubbles. I had 1600 points when I lost and I lost on the level before the last level; I ALMOST HAD THE AVATAR! Soon enough it will be mine; on a better note after explaining to my boyfriend how I was so close and yet so far he started playing it in an attempt to beat me, and that's how he started playing neopets on his own today, yay me?! :)
Sooo after this post last night I went to bed, and then today after trying all day and taking a few break every now and then I finally did it! I got the Faerie Bubbles avatar! :) YAY! Seeing this made me SO happy!

I had the day off today and I think the only thing I did that wasn't neopets was shower, eat, and get rent money from the ATM. Finally, I decided I was going to stop playing faerie bubbles for a little while if I couldn't get it by the time my night was over and then, I GOT IT! :) WOOT!

Let me start off by saying, please excuse the rest of my statement for two things. 1) Being painfully obvious to anyone relevant, and 2) Being grossly under exaggerated.
...is really expensive!
When I left neo a few years ago (before the transfer option) I noticed a lot of people wanted that avatar and I always thought it was because a pea chia was hard to come by and therefore people didn't like pounding and hoping people could successfully get their pet before anyone else does. I also never tried to get the avatar because up until recently I didn't have the SLM, I also didn't want to miss catching someone's pet in the pound. But when I crept back over to the avatar boards the other day and saw they were still riddled with something along the lines of "lend me SuAP" I realized the pet thing probably wasn't the reason all these people wanted this avatar but couldn't seem to get it. (Especially considering how many different people are willing to lend their avatar pets now!!) I disregarded it wondering why people don't just save up for the Super Attack Pea and buy it themselves, and then a few days ago I was in the avatar boards and I saw one where the girl said she had collat of 90mil but she knew that wasn't enough, and I about lost it! I looked on TDN avatar solutions and saw it was estimated around 1 billion, wow!
Do any neo veterans remember if it's always been this expensive or if the inflation caused it to increase? Anyone know how much the item was before the avatar came out? I always find it really interesting seeing how prices skyrocket after an avatar is released.
cliffs: never tried to get SuAP avatar, therefore never knew how much it was; recently found out how much it was; proceeded to soil my pants.
