Liking this post not for "almost high score", because that's frustrating, but for getting your boyfriend to play ^_^ I haven't been successful in getting mine to play much, other than commanding him to participate in easy events and getting him the forgotten shore map, so he can get money to gamble with (he really likes the Brucey B Slots) :P

 

 

Haha, my boyfriend is incredibly competitive so the best way to get him to do anything is to talk about how hard a game is for me, eventually he'll play whatever game it is in attempts to prove to me it's not hard, lol. That's how I got him to dedicate so much of his time to tetris as well :P He told me earlier if he weren't sick right now he'd probably be playing faerie bubbles to get better than me.

LAJDFKLASJFKLAJF Angry post! My ALMOST achievement today was my high score in faerie bubbles. I had 1600 points when I lost and I lost on the level before the last level; I ALMOST HAD THE AVATAR! Soon enough it will be mine; on a better note after explaining to my boyfriend how I was so close and yet so far he started playing it in an attempt to beat me, and that's how he started playing neopets on his own today, yay me?! :)

WOOOO-WHHEEEEE! I was actually going to buy this the other day; glad I didn't! :)

I work at Dave and Busters and don't get me wrong, my job is great! Lol, I actually told my mom if I'm going to be dehydrated I'd be better off having something negative happen at work than at home cause they'd pay for my medical expenses. But anyways, I always have a water bottle on hand at work and there have never been any issues. I think my mom is more concerned that I would forget to stay hydrated due to the volume we experience on Saturdays; which is reasonable I suppose.

 

I ended up calling off because my fever has been steadily rising all night and I have thrown up a few times.

So today when I woke up I discovered I had some rumblies in my tummy- if you know what I mean. I went to work and continued to go about my day like normal; however around 2 o'clock I was standing there and all of the sudden I got tunnel vision and my left arm went numb I felt like I was about to puke but I couldn't cause my mouth wouldn't water up enough to trigger my gag reflex, afterwards I felt really dizzy and confused. I realized right away what I did wrong, I didn't keep myself properly hydrated. So I then proceeded to drink lots of water to rehydrate myself. They let me leave work early and I called my mom and told her what happened. Now she is freaking out (she lives in Texas and I live in Indiana) and keeps telling me not to go to work tomorrow because I'm too sick, and that she'll give me the money I lose from not going to work. I disagree so I kept telling her no it would be ridiculous to miss work over an upset stomach. I've been there for about a year and a half and I've never called off so I'm sure they wouldn't say anything to me, but I don't feel right about calling off and leaving them to cover a 15 hour shift last minute. She said she doesn't believe that on a busy day like tomorrow I could reasonably work 15 hours and keep myself hydrated when I couldn't even do it today when I wasn't busy (which is a good point) and she's worried I'll faint and have to go to the hospital, which would be more expensive than her just giving me the money for missing tomorrow (her boyfriend went to the hospital for dehydration and he was in the hospital for 4 days). Then she threatened to call my manager and tell him if he lets me work my entire shift tomorrow and something happens she's going to sue. Oh and I have a fever; not very high, but a fever nonetheless.

Lol, anyone have any opinions? I don't really know what to do at this point; we agreed if I went to the bathroom before 10 I had to take off at least half of the day tomorrow.

So my boyfriend and I started a new show tonight, it's a Netflix original called Hemlock Grove. It's really weird, but I really like it. Ill post more once I get through the first few episodes.

Neopets!!! I think if my boyfriend didn't regularly play pokemon yellow on his gameboy advance and we weren't dating for two years I wouldn't have told him. I can only think of 4

people who know just how much I love neopets; one of which is my mom, and two of which are real life friends who also play neopets, lol.

I also reeeeally like corny young adult fiction books; particularly ones involving love/mythical creatures. -cough-vampires-cough-

Here Comes Honey Boo Boo, I can't not watch that show when it's on, I love that show a whole lot.

I also love Beauty and the Beast; but I'm not ashamed of that at all :)

I'm hoping there isn't already another forum about this somewhere else, but I need help with the battledome.

I would like to start battling my pet in the battledome, but I'm not sure what exactly to do and how to battle? Do you have to have items/blessings to battle? Or can you use your pets strength to fight rather than items?

I'm also curious because I want to battle punchbag bob and beat him, but I'm not sure if I should stock up and use a bunch of items against him or if my pet can actually just hit him rather than using a bunch of items?

The ever changing economy!!!!

When I first started playing neopets about 9 or 10 years ago I remember I wanted a petpet REALLY bad, so I saved up about 3,000 neopoints and bought the cheapest one I could find at the time, a meowclops.

I kept that petpet for a while, and I was really happy with it. Then I started earning more neopoints and I could finally buy a petpet I liked more than the meowclops, so I sold it; for about 3,000 neopoints.

Years later after the avatar is released that petpet is now worth MILLIONS. My biggest regret was selling that darn meowclops.

When I adopted my Shoyru for an avatar I couldn't pound him, I tried on several occasions but I just couldn't until after I zapped him into a more desirable color to ensure he would get picked up, the five emotionally infused buttons you have to click made it a really sad event. I still can't pound a pet unless he/she is a decent color, and even when I do I can't read the buttons.

Oh, lucky you! I had the same issue this morning, but I messed up when I tried to merge my Habi, and reset it instead. -sigh- So I'm rebuilding- at level 15 now! (Not bad for about 6 hours!)

 

 

Oh goodness!! That's unfortunate :( But you are doing well for 6 hours in! Lol, I was so nervous about merging mine and accidentally resetting; I'm lucky it worked for me. Even if it would have reset I think I would have just been happy to have unlocked it. :)

I got a 10 dubloon coin today, I was really excited....but then later I accidentally donated it. Whoops! Oh well, at least someone else will enjoy it! :)

I adopted a relatively badly named Shoyru to achieve a couple avatars, I then turned her into an Ogrin for yet another avatar. After that I started zapping her with my lab ray and after about a week she became a Wraith Ogrin, I put her up for adoption without announcing it so someone would be able to have a nice pet. I check up on her all the time; and since being adopted she hasn't left her new owner yet. :)

I would! I think it would be nice to have a pet that means something to you, even if it isn't the original/super rare :)

Today when I woke up to check on my habitarium and collect the purple gems neopets randomly logged me off effectively locking me out of my habi :( After some efforts and reading some different guides on how to unlock my habi, I FINALLY got it to unlock and now it's up and running like normal :) yay me!

I'm currently working towards 2 pets, one is an Eldergirl Xweetok, they are just sooo cute, and I finally thought of a name that I like! And the second one is a basic draik, I just love draiks I think I would like to start with a basic one and then think about painting it later after I figure out what color. :)

I didn't really know what to put in my introduction so I've been procrastinating; I'm somewhat of a lurker :)

 

Anywho; I'm Jade! I'm 20 years old, I love neopets, sometimes a little too much, lol. Ever since I joined I just wanted to be a neopets millionaire and collect a lot of the avatars, I reached the millionaire goal and have an okay avatar collection (still working on it, it's not as large as I'd like), but once I reached the neopoints goal I took a hiatus, so now I'm constantly looking for new goals. Currently working on: making my account a more well rounded account, for so long I was concerned with my neopoints and I really abandoned other aspects like pet stats, customization, trophies, etc.

 

I don't really know what else to add, those are just my goals for now and I'm really excited! So hello all :)
