  2. Researchers reported that subjects frequently substituted cannabis for other substances, including conventional pharmaceuticals. Authors reported:

“Over 41 percent state that they use cannabis as a substitute for alcohol (n=158), 36.1 percent use cannabis as a substitute for illicit substances (n=137), and 67.8 percent use cannabis as a substitute for prescription drugs (n=259). The three main reasons cited for cannabis-related substitution are ‘less withdrawal’ (67.7 percent), ‘fewer side-effects’ (60.4 percent), and ‘better symptom management’ suggesting that many patients may have already identified cannabis as an effective and potentially safer adjunct or alternative to their prescription drug regimen.”

Overall, 75.5 percent (n=305) of respondents said that they substitute cannabis for at least one other substance. Men were more likely than women to report substituting cannabis for alcohol or illicit drugs.

  3. Cancer is the result of a divorce from nature. I saw that on an image once and I believe it to be the best explanation. Nature can cure cancer in many ways. There are some who say Baking Soda therapy works, Balancing your Ph levels which can easily be done with the Gerson Therapy. Essiac tea is a 4 herb tea that has cured thousands who were terminally ill with Cancer. Rene Caisse, read up on her. B-17 found in Apricot kernals and Apple seeds has been shown to kill Cancer.

Cancer is completely curable, without chemotherapy or any kind of radiation or surgery. Repeat that over and over till you believe it, because it is the truth and may save your life one day. 1-3 adults will get Cancer in their lifetime.

I highly advocate the use of Cannabis Oil in curing Cancer because all you have to do is take the oil and requires very little of the person in need of healing. If you stay away from conventional poisoning..er...treatment and take 60ml of oil as fast as you can, you will be cancer free or near cancer free within 90 days. If you don't forego conventional treatment, it takes longer because your body has to heal the damage from those toxins before it can get to the root of the matter. Yes, getting on a good diet/exercise regimen is ideal, stopping bad habits that are KNOWN to kill people and cause cancer is especially ideal. However, most folks do none of that, just take the oil, and everything that ails them including Cancer disappears within months. This is due to our ECS (Endocannabinoid System).

What I'm talking about is not Hemp Oil derived from Hemp seeds. It is Cannabis Oil made from the buds and is around 95% THC.

I have talked to folks who have been CURED and who have CURED others. Thousands have been cured. Rick Simpson himself I know cured about 5,000 in the past ten year (FOR FREE). He has never charged anything to cure anyone or for any of the information pertaining to the making and ingesting of the Cannabis Oil. He is now selling a book but you can find all the needed information online for free and he encourages duplicating his videos and sharing it. He also encourages that people make their own oil. You can find more about it here: http://www.phoenixtears.ca/

Rick Simpsons Run From the Cure

As I mentioned before, we all have an endocannabinoid system and here's some more information on that (all relatively short videos):

Because Cannabis Oil regulates the body in so many ways you are looking at tanking the Pharmaceutical industry completely. Success stories include but not limited to many kinds of Cancer, Type 2 Diabetes, HIV (stabilized without using any pharmaceuticals), helping MS patients walk, restoring organs to healthy function (kidneys, etc.), restoring eyesight and not just on people but animals too (they have an ECS too). Rick loves working with animals because they are cured faster.

You won't find the studies that you are looking for because it is a Schedule 1 Drug and that makes it nearly impossible for Scientists to get their hands on it to study it. A hearing in the Supreme Courts to change that was last October, still waiting to hear how they ruled.

Cannabis should not be age restricted. Go back to my first comment. It was used in men, women, and children for many reasons for thousands of years. No one has ever died from it, the side effects tend to be much more mild than many of the over the counter pharmaceuticals you can buy, and actually has been shown to be more beneficial over time as more studies are done and more information is gathered. It's high time we stop referring to this plant as a drug. Lavender isn't a drug but is said to influence the mind to induce sleep, etc. I can legally give my child lavender tea, but not Ganja tea. Anytime Cannabis is blamed for something going wrong in the brain a myriad of questions come into my mind. Did this person use alcohol or pharmaceuticals? Was this person exposed to mercury, lead, aspartame, MSG, aluminum, or fluoride and how often? These things are very neuro-toxic and very prevalent in our society, and that's just off the top of my head. Dr. Dreher studied children who ingested Cannabis in teas in Jamaica with some profound results...again see my first comment on this thread.

Cannabis started being heavily smoked when it became illegal because of the cost. It is reasonable to assume over time less people would smoke it should it be legal. As far as Cannabis smoke offending your sense of smell...99% of the perfumes and colognes on the market offend my sense of smell, what should we do about that? Those are even more toxic than Cannabis, bet you'd get real sick trying to ingest or smoke them.

  4. Not only does cannabis affect everyone differently but effects of cannabis can vary greatly from strain to strain. Not to mention knowing the source of your cannabis as some folks who care very little for others like to add toxins into the mix. I don't think it is one person's place to judge another's life on what they think a successful or fulfilling life looks like. We're all here to walk our own path.

To deny anyone the free use of this highly beneficial herb is a crime against humanity, plain and simple.

  5. CANNABIS should absolutely positively be legal for every man, woman, and child to use as they wish. Legalization without taxation. Decriminalizing only makes the penalties not as severe and nobody should face penalties, fines or anything else to use such a BENEFICIAL herb. Let me begin:

We could save our economy (taxing products made from Cannabis/Hemp) and create jobs at home. Cannabis is a hardy plant (grows like a weed) that improves soil conditions rather than depleting them. Cannabis can be grown just about anywhere, quite efficiently, reducing transportation costs. We could produce our own fuel using hemp and not have to depend on foreign oil. We could make biodegradable plastic products which would help out our planet as a whole.

Cannabis has been used as an Oriental herbal medicine for 5,000 years. From 1850-1937 Cannabis was used as the prime medicine for more than 100 separate illnesses or diseases in the U.S. pharmacopoeia.

There has never been one documented case of it killing anyone. So no, I guess it's not fair to compare it to cigarettes or alcohol or drugs, that kill hundreds of thousands yearly. Scientists say it is impossible to lethally overdose on Cannabis.

Donald Tashkin of UCLA conducted the largest study of it's kind on the link between lung cancer and marijuana use:

"We hypothesized that there would be a positive association between marijuana use and lung cancer, and that the association would be more positive with heavier use," he said. "What we found instead was no association at all, and even a suggestion of some protective effect." http://www.washingto...6052501729.html

As far as Cannabis destroying brain cells, well that's just not true either. The U.S. Government has a patent (#6630507) Cannabinoids as antioxidants and neuroprotectants.

High-dose cannabis stimulates growth of brain cells in rats:

More articles on Marijuana and the brain can be found here:

    http://sarahjmuma.wo...-and-the-brain/

As for mental health this study here: http://www.ncbi.nlm....says "Although cannabis use precedes the onset of illness in most patients, there was no significant association between onset of illness and CUD that was not accounted for by demographic and clinical variables. Previous studies implicating CUD in the onset of schizophrenia may need to more comprehensively assess the relationship between CUD and schizophrenia"

and this study: http://www.ncbi.nlm....d/20483565 The results of the present analysis suggest that (cannabis use) in patients with SZ (schizophrenia) is associated with better performance on measures of processing speed and verbal skills.

and this study: http://www.ncbi.nlm....bmed/22595870 Researchers reported, "[W]e observed a lower mortality risk-adjusted variable in cannabis-users compared to cannabis non-users despite subjects having similar symptoms and antipsychotic treatments." Authors speculated that the association between marijuana use and decreased mortality risk may be because "cannabis users may (be) higher functioning" and because "cannabis itself may have some health benefits."

This article: http://coloradoindep...es-lives talks about this study: http://dmarkanderson..._16_12_v1.pdf

Researchers analyzed traffic fatalities nationwide, and in those states that have legalized medical marijuana they found that alcohol consumption went down among those 20 to 29 years old, resulting in fewer deaths on the road.

Dr. Melanie Dreher did a groundbreaking study on Cannabis effects on pregnant women, mothers and children. She talks about it here: http://www.cannabisc.../1404.html and here:

This article is really interesting, talking about a study showing that pregnant women who smoke cannabis have a lower infant mortality rate: http://www.opposingv...nfant-mortality

Then we come to Cancer. Cannabis CURES cancer naturally without any harmful side effects. It's being done every day using Cannabis Oil or a.k.a Rick Simpson Oil. People are regulating their diabetes with the stuff as well as treating various other ailments. We have an endocannabinoid system, actually they have found that everything but insects have an endocannabinoid system. We create our own cannabinoids naturally. Scientists are speculating that a rise in disease could be linked to a deficiency in cannabinoids, because when the body is saturated with cannabinoids (like via Cannabis Oil) whatever is wrong, rights itself. This is fascinating stuff!

You don't HAVE to smoke Cannabis, you can eat it. In fact when you smoke it, you lose like 80% of the benefits. THC is only activated when heated, it's THC that kills Cancer that is why Cannabis Oil is used to cure Cancer. Many people juice cannabis to receive health benefits,

I have a page that I've been working on compounding all the information I've come across on Marijuana/Cannabis, you can check it out here: http://sarahjmuma.wo...na-information/

I would like to add that I have been smoking Cannabis daily pretty much non stop for the past 20yrs (I am 30yrs old). I was an Honor Student throughout school getting As and Bs (if you find importance in such things), I was in the Marching Band, had friends and was on friendly terms with majority of my teachers. I'm now a married, homeschooling, stay at home mommy of 3 who is a political and health activist.

  6. I would like to add a counter at the bottom (which I am working on) and remove or edit the wording at the very top (which I am struggling with) and collect quite a few more plushies before I try for spotlight, but I would like to get some thoughts so I can tackle any issues at my leisure. Thanks in advance for your time.

    Gallery Link:http://www.neopets.com/gallery/index.phtml?gu=evil_minx

  7. I have a Plushie gallery. Any and all plushies is the game plan with Gallery Spotlighting as the overall goal. I can't pull myself away from the plushies. I used to collect stuffed animals in real life (had a couple hundred at one point) and so yeah, plushies are my thing. I am looking for some various ways I could organize them. There are so many. I had them sort of categorized but it was rubbing me wrong and I deleted them. Here's the link to my gallery: http://www.neopets.com/gallery/index.phtml?gu=evil_minx

Any and all input is welcome.

I was also wondering if anyone knows where to find a gallery layout generator or tutorial or something. I have a premade now but I was reading that this isn't acceptable for the contest, that you have to make your own. I am not very good at that sort of thing so I should probably get an early start on it.

  8. wow thats a shame but at least you could morph back I just recentally bought the last peice I needed for the lab and I have a maraquan eyrie from a fountian faerie quest and there is no maraquan eurie mp yet. Now I feel a bit nervous :sad01_anim:

It makes me nervous too. I will be sure to be alert while zapping from now on. Your Eyrie is cute!

  9. Me too! This thread was a great idea! Here's mine

    1. What do you collect? Plushies

    2. What is the CRITERIA for your gallery? (i.e. needs to come from a specific shop, has a certain word in the item or description, items of a certain colour, etc.) It has to be a Plushie in name or description. Not plushie related items.

    3. Do you accept donations? Of course.

    4. Do you have an up-to-date list of things you're looking for? No. I would be happy to receive anything that is not already in my gallery and I work pretty hard to keep it current.

    5. Do you mind more than one donation? (for example, if you collect pizza, do you mind of two SEPARATE Neopians donate a yummy muddy pizza by accident?) I would kindly return any extras received.

    6. Do you want to donate to others? Absolutely!

  10. I know this is an older thread but last year on my 30th birthday, the only people who acknowledged it was my birthday were those that live with me and people who saw it listed on Facebook. Some of my so called friends who are on Facebook didn't even bother. No calls, no cards, nada. I try to shrug it off but it still leaves you with a crummy feeling.

  11. I keep reading that each account has a different set time and it is that same time every day. 7 days later when you are able to paint another pet, people are going at the same time and it works. I can't really say either way yet, I have yet to catch him sleeping. Does anyone have any information on how to be accepted in by the guard?
