It took me about a week, but I did manage to finish the quest without needing UBs. Just keep on trying I guess? LOL, even though I have Brain Tree as a challenger, I still can't beat him :P

I want a UC Faerie Pteri... I don't even know where to start on that one xD

So for now, I'm working on my avatar collection. The game avatars in particular. At least this way I'm making money, not spending :P

I got the Sloth ones today, and I almost got the IOM one yesterday, but I gave up on Mission 7 Battle 1 -_-

I sell any book worth over 1,000 NP. I'd read books to my pets more if there were more benefits, but as is, it doesn't seem to be terribly useful (unless you want a trophy or need high intel for a BD weapon).

My grandpa died, then my grandma (whom I'd been living with) fell ill and had to be hospitalized. Then I was hospitalized for depression and missed 2 weeks of school because they wouldn't let me out of the hospital. Then I got kicked out by my grandma. Now I'm moving out with my best friend so all is awesome :)!

I had that problem when I was using firefox, I'd get a grey screen, but sometimes it would spontaneously work after a minute or so, so you could try waiting. That's why I switched to Chrome, I don't have that problem anymore. Sometimes it doesn't let me in straight away, so I refresh the page and then it usually works. Good luck :)

The mutant acara looks like it has a Maracite face or something... The Naalala is cute though :D

Thanks! That's really good to know, I though I could just miss days :P. You guys are so helpful, on the Help boards on Neopets I probably would have gotten flamed o_O

When I go on the Neopies site on Neopets and click the "?" I get the help button, not the FAQ. And I didn't find a guide for it on TDN so... I'm going to ask my questions here.

So my basic understanding of the Neopies is that we vote for items and every time we vote we get a prize, correct? We don't all get the same prize and we can only vote once per pole.

What I'm not sure about is the time line. Is there a new poll every day? Every week? Do you get anything for participating every day? And how long do the Neopies usually last?

I had some more expensive items like a Transmogrification Potion and a paint brush, so I took those two out and subtracted their est. value from the total. If you're going for the avatar, you should check your SDB to see if you have any items like that, it saved me a whole bunch of Talismen to resell ;).

I haven't even tried doing Illusen's or Juhduora's quests yet... I'm too intimidated...

In my opinion, it's equally wrong to help out a sibling/friend/spouse as it is to have a bunch of gamers logging onto each other's accounts to get each other avatars/trophies. It's not fair to those who don't have ace-gamer parents/siblings/friends. And the gaming avatars/trophies ARE possible, it just takes time and practice. Maybe I'm being a bit harsh, but I think that the rule is there for a reason: fairness.

Teehee, plants would be neat, TNT could introduce a whole new line of food like "Bottled Sunshine" and they could use Dung as fertilizer xD

The painted ones are super cute! My favourite is Christmas (I'm still in the Christmas spirit :D). And I laughed when I noticed that they all have the standard left-hand-fist.

I'm also curious, what program are you using to draw these?

My name is Alice, I've been using TDN ever since I started playing neopets but I've just recently gathered the courage to join the forum :P.

I'm currently focused on collecting avatars (I only have 190 atm, but I'll get there). I don't really use the neopets boards because they intimidate me >_<

So anyway... Hello! :D

Edit:

I just realized that I have a few questions...

1) Is it okay to say "edit" when adding to an existing post?

2) Is it okay to use pre-made avatars from avatar sites? Or is it better to make your own?

3) Is there a place where I can find out about all of the buttons when posting? Like the little round plus and minus signs at the bottom right-hand side. Or the "Show 'Edit by' line" which I'm going to leave unchecked for the moment.
