This is insanity. People want 300-500K for the music box! I watched the prices climb from 10K and beyond and I still wasn't able to snag one before it reached unbuyable territory. Is anyone willing to part with one for no more than 175k? :/

Aww, I feel ya. I can't remember the last time I won anything decent from Tombola and the Fruit Machine. Actually... I don't think I ever have!

I had a similar issue not long ago. I was pretty sure I knew the email address that my account was associated with, but for some reason my password reset requests weren't going through to my inbox. They weren't going to my spam/junk folder or anything. Very weird. So... I went here: http://www.monkeyquest.com/en/signup/forgot-password Monkey Quest is a Nickelodeon site and Nickelodeon doesn't own Neopets anymore, but for some reason this site is still tied in with Neopets / Neopets accounts. Well... it was as of a few months ago. :P

 

I entered my username to reset my forgotten password... and for some reason THIS request made it to my inbox! (My hunch was correct -- I guessed the right email address.) Anyway, you might want to give it a try. It's how I got my account back. :D

I returned to Neo last April... after about a six year hiatus. I used to get faerie quests on a regular basis -- I miss 'em! I've only received one since April, from the Air Faerie. Meh. Maybe one day I'll purchase a Faerie Fortune Cookie. If I ever buy NC it'll be for that. :P

I think my fishing skill was around level 100 when I caught the Titanic Squid and snagged the avatar. I hope your time will come soon. :)

I got the rubbish avatar today. I mass discarded exactly 4826 items just now. I was starting to get nervous -- I was close to running out of items to discard. :P

Another avatar collector here. :) I hold on to any retired and special event items i receive, but I don't go out of my way to buy any of them. I'm a passive collector.

 

At one time I would buy random items that appealed to me and put them in my gallery. I was focused on aesthetically pleasing food for a while. I've since sold everything because I'm more into hoarding NPs these days. :P

Classic paper books should never go extinct, but I suppose they will someday. Hopefully not until after my lifetime. I have an iPad and I read on it from time to time, but I still prefer the feel of having a book in my hands and seeing words on paper. Like others have mentioned, the negative thing about books is that they can take up too much space. So... that's why I have a library card. :) I will buy a book on occasion if I can't borrow it anywhere or if it has extra special meaning to me in terms of content and/or beauty.
