I had my biggest win on Food club, probably forever onward and am top of the leader board. So excited!

I certainly hope for reincarnation. Not only that, I hope that we can have the chance to be reincarnated in a different universe.
There are so many worlds and universes that I want to explore!

I haven't really met guys who are demeaning "because you're a girl" - I guess most of those types are in FPS games and in huge MMORPGs like WoW (even tho I haven't encountered that type there either, since there are a lot of so called "traps", guys who play as girls and girls who play as guys).

But I have met those who are "gamer girls", not actual gamer girls. They're like "OH I'M SUCH A GAMER GIRL" and then, someone asks "Well... What do you play?"
"I PLAY FARMVILLE AND CANDY CRUSH"
*facepalm*

Then, I've ofc met the type who seem to play games to get guys. Note, I only say it SEEMS like it. I think most of them play for the game itself, but still do stuff like shout "ARE THERE ANY OTHER GIRLS HERE?!" and try to make people notice that they are girls.

This is the type I'm REALLY annoyed about. The ones who enforce the stereotypes. :/

I will freely admit that I'm not a gamer (I run into the freaking corners on Rainbow Bridge), but that has more to do with my lack of coordination than anything else. My guy friends invite me to play these games and make fun of me, but it really is all in good fun, because I have a lot of fun loosing.
 
That said I am an engineering major, and trust me there are no shortage of competitive female gamers in that major, and it's less about getting boyfriends, than beating them. Though plenty of the girls get into gaming because it's a way to spend time together.
 
I am however a huge comic/cartoon nerd. Which is strange because I've never really read the comics, but I know a good deal of content, and what I have run into is the Cosplay persecution. Seriously, girls get ragged on for gender bending, and they get told that they just want to wear skimpy clothes, but a lot of the powerful female characters wear skimpy clothes.
 
Anyways it's almost easier to be an engineering major because comic books and gaming are ways to socialize, it's almost expected that you have some level of familiarity with at least the types of plot lines and/or game play (and I do enjoy some of the consul poltlines KH is my favorite). At least that's how it's seemed in my social circles.

I think it's less about the gore, and more about relation. At some level, humans need to be able to relate to something in order to really like/admire it. I think that life nowadays (though I guess I really can't speak for any other time, since I haven't lived it) is absolutely zombie-fied. Wake up, go to work/school, check phone/Facebook/Twitter throughout the day, go home, more work/schoolwork, go to sleep. Repeat forever.
I personally feel the life being sucked out of me. And just like being a zombie, there's no real escape. Once you're in the system you have to stay in it until you die. You can;t expect to live a half-decent life with medical care, reliable shelter, and a constant source of food without buying into this system and working for money until you can't work anymore.
There's less and less time for fun, I feel. Sure, lots of people waste their income by spending it on frivolous items (the newest electronics, a new, ridiculous car, a giant mansion for them and their dog), but a lot of people need to work all the time just to get by, just to pay their bills. It's really unfortunate.
So on a whole (sorry, this ended up being kind of a rant on society lol), I think that "zombie culture" is really just an expression of people feeling like they're going through the motions in life. Like if they just stumble on to do what they're expected to do they'll survive another day.
I think that deep down, we all feel like a zombie.

The incompleteness of my stamp collection drives me nuts if I let myself think about it. I'm totally a collector-type, so I definitely empathize with you there. Stupid UBs :(

I get frustrated at the hard to get avatars as well. And I wish I could collect all the stamps but nope =(

I still havent gotten that one . Its been a toughie for me.

I know this is odd but I love the smell of books =P That being said I do want an e reader because you have easier access to a lot of differant books. I hope paper books never retire though.

I myself don't play them because it felt like a bad deal, just went for the avatars on the ones that have one, never played them again after I had it. I never really calculated anything so I'm not sure if my feeling is right or not.

I haven't been doing much reading lately, but my last novel was Villette by Charlotte Bronte. The book I just finished was a Bathroom Reader, haha :rolleyes_anim:
 
That's awesome! Piers Anthony was my first favorite author :) I started reading his Xanth novels in about grade 6 and I still own most of the collection of them, up till about 2009, I think.

I just finished a Piers Anthony novel called Demons don't Dream. Very punny but I love it.

When we were able to catch the monster, I was at level 30 and caught it on 33, and I got everything exept the petpet.

I don't think it could be much cheaper. :D

I think that government should stay out of marriage altogether, no matter who it's involving.
 
I'm a hetero, Christian female married to a hetero, Christian male. But that doesn't make it my job to tell people how to live their lives. Should I expect that everyone in society lives the way I do? Uhhh, no. It's not for us to decide how people live.
 
If you're truly a Christian, you'll stop whining about gay marriage and focus instead on how you can better serve God.

If you're looking at getting a Draik egg from the Trading Post you'll have to neomail the owner and see if he/she can set up a private auction. This is where you become neofriends for the sole purpose of completing the transaction. Alternately, the owner may want partial payment in neopoints and then the rest in easy to sell items that have a high value.
 
Once you get your Draik egg you are free to repaint any color you wish.
