  2. The ray is fired at Critoh... ... and she loses 3 defence points!!!! Monthly Report It has been one month since I morphed Critoh into a Poogle and it was worse than when it was a Blumaroo. Even though I am not interested in it changing species, it's quite disappointing to not get a color change for over a month (remember Critoh didn't change color for weeks and weeks and that made me morph it) while I see you guys getting it quite often ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ On the good side, someone granted my wish for a Robot Gnorbu on ZYDP! I couldn't believe it because I just sign in for one 2 weeks ago! I thought it would take months till someone had one available for adoption. Say hai to Gillenuvo!

  3. I got the Soup Faerie as my final quest asker. She was looking for a Mega Shepherds Pie Smoothie and got it for 2,488nps. I got the Counter Curse Robe! *Cue Squeeing and Football Touchdown-Worthy Dancing* I love capes! I also got Faerie Techo Plushie Collectable Charm as my daily item. I don't know if I want to keep this or not. I collect plushies but the charms don't really appeal to me. If any of y'all want it or know somebody who wants it, let me know and I will send it to you.

  5. I am back!!!!!! Sorry for the silence. They didn't do a lockdown but I was so busy doing the Daily Faerie Quest I forgot to stop by here and let y'all know. I hope y'all have been doing well and that y'all are all healthy and mostly sane during this time of quarantine.

  6. It probably did for most people, didn't it. Sure there were issues - the wrong info TNT put out initially, the price gouging with the new items the faeries asked for, the quest refresh boon not working - but if you were lucky enough to avoid these, or at least not be impacted by them really badly then yes, this went well. Hopefully, as time goes by, most people will remember the receipt of multiple FFQs, rather than 900k+NP for a Flaming Blooble Potion for an air faerie Quest.

    Happy Scorchio Day!

A very solid pet day indeed! It`s always exciting to see new Steampunk pets, and I love the Scorchio one. I especially appreciate that we can see their eyes. I partciularly like the wings and the hat - I prefer it when a Steampunk pet looks "dressed up" compared to looking like it`s all machine. (Which is why I find Robot pets a bit off-putting). Edit: I so, so wished that the Steampunk outfit would be broken up into different pieces, allowing the owner to pick and choose and truly customize to their liking. The aviator outfit is very nice as well, I really love those wings, they look awesome and can easily be applied to other themes and settings. I find it a bit strange and amusing that the aviator theme is so common despite airplanes not existing in Neopia. We do have hot air balloons and space ships though, so.. lol.

  10. @jellysundae I hope you're able to contact someone and get a slot for your groceries. Being in that predicament is not fun, and the not knowing part can really take its toll. As for my KGner and my Gr3 girl it's not a matter of getting them to do things together. My oldest, K, she gets insanely mad when her sisters so much as sit beside her and do their own thing while I'm teaching her. She will honestly flip out and lose it on her sisters. I usually have to separate them with different things to do which makes it more challenging to get K to do her schoolwork because she'd rather go join her sisters. With my KGner, A, doing schoolwork now I want to try and get them working at the table together and then they can take a break when they're done their lesson.K just stalls and procrastinates, A just gives it her all until she gets bored and wants to do something else. For my now 3-year-old I ordered her a learning desk that she can learn on while her sisters are working on their studies so she is out of the way and occupied. It's scheduled to be here on the 26th. I think I lost the battle with my in-laws. Seems like they're still planning on coming for a visit sometime in the near future. I'm like did you not listen to a word I said yesterday. My MIL even said to my husband while they were talking yesterday that she doesn't know when they'll come for a visit because they don't want to bring diseases to our house because she doesn't think I will like that. I think my husband ruffled her feathers when they were talking yesterday and she made that comment. Now today totally different. But then again I was on the phone with her and she won't confront me with things. I'm not giving up with them though. I going to keep reiterating that they should stay put. If anything I can send my Mr. out with the computer and the internet hub to get them connected and I can walk them through how to use their computer over the phone then they can FaceTime with the girls and keep in touch better while we're isolated. This afternoon I got a text message from my brother-in-law. He thought he was texting his brother, my Mr. But he got me so we chatted for a few minutes. We haven't heard anything from them since late summer. Little One's birthday was today and to celebrate she got to talk to Grandma and Grandpa on the phone which is exciting! She's never done that before. She'd always just grab the phone and run off with it and not say a word. A couple weeks ago I was talking to Dad and Little One comes over and yells "Hi Dad" into the phone. So I put it on speaker for her to talk to her daddy for a few minutes. For a treat I took out a cinnamon coffee cake that was in the freezer and the girls each had a small slice of it with some strawberry ripple ice cream. It's been a good day for her! Wednesday we're planning on celebrating both their birthdays and making an Olaf inspired cake. I'll post a pic after when it's made

  11. @jellysundae I definitely think it would be worthwhile calling customer service of your supermarket and telling them your situation. I'd call the higher-up customer service though, like corporate as they may even be able to get you in for a delivery slot again. I know here (Aus), they've cancelled all home deliveries for the time being and are redirecting their services to people who actually can't leave the house very easily, or are fully quarantined, and you can apply to receive home delivery. It may also be worth looking about online or on fb if you use that, for people who will pick up groceries for you. I know there's a bunch of those neighbourhood cards going around where someone near you can pick things up and bring them to your house for you.

  12. Just snagged the Good Day at the Bank avatar! I've missed out on a bunch of avvies while I was gone so I'm glad this one was as simple as remembering my pet's birthday.

Heh, yeah, we'll see how it goes. I was hoping to do a summer semester but I'm kind of doubting that that will be likely. Yay kitties! Hey Duski! Hope life's been treating you well! Your avatar is heckin adorable.

  14. OMG @jellysundae I'm so sorry! Is there anyway you can reach out to anyone who can help? Is there anywhere you can complain to? You can't be the only one in this situation. I had to stare at this for a couple of seconds before I got it.. Good for her! Wanting to learn is an important life skill to have.

  15. I keep wanting to reply to this, but reading through everyone else's big posts fries my brain. But I'm gonna try and say something, though I can't respond to others as I'd like to. All pubs here in the UK closed last night. Boris urged the nation to not go out for one last pint... yep, dream on BoJo; the pub next door to me, and the one over the road, were both heaving. Much hugging going on... People here last night being just as foolish as those moronic spring breakers. In other news... Aw, ain't that sweet. Hope they both sanitised their hands afterwards. Oh wait, there's more! AWWW! Yeah, he seems like a keeper! The supermarkets are on a massive hiring spree whilst everywhere else is closing, and the sewers are getting blocked because of people having to use wipes and tissues and kitchen towel because selfish panic-buyers have taken all the loo roll. This must be the same pretty much globally? Sales of those bidets you fit to your loo must be sky-rocketing, though we (wee? *groan*) in the UK are just SO bidet-phobic that they maybe haven't occured to many people here yet. I have my own problems to overcome here. I have MS; I can't walk very far and I can't carry very much at all because of nerve fatigue and general instability, so have grocery-shopped online and got home delivery for a number of years. I had a shop delivered on Wednesday - that's 3 weeks-worth of food, I can't mentally manage to get a shop together quicker than that - but I can't book a slot for my next shop as there are none. You can book up to 3 weeks in advance and that's what I do, but now... none available. I've been staying up till midnight to try and snag one as the next day becomes available but I clearly don't have a fast enough connection/computer, and LOTS of other people are engaged in the exact same pursuit. It took about 5 seconds for the page to load last night, by the time it had - no slots available. So I'll have no option but to make my way to the closest supermarket and do what I can myself. I'm going to get one of those wheeled shopping bags - I can get it delivered to this particular supermarket - and that will help alleviate some of the obstacles life is throwing at me right now. But will it magically make the stuff I want to buy/need to eat be on the shelves? I have dietary needs because of the MS too This store IS doing this: Every Monday, Wednesday and Friday, all our supermarkets will dedicate 8am - 9am to serving elderly, disabled and vulnerable customers, as well as NHS and Social Care workers. They will just need to show us their pass or ID when they visit. I am one of thoese vulnerable people, but I don't have any way to prove this unlike disabled badge-holders. I have this card that says "the bearer of this card is taking Tecfidera" like that's gonna mean a thing to anyone other than some medical professionals. So yeah, fun times ahead for me! I'm fairly confident that things will improve once the supermarkets have more staff though and can dramatically increase the home delivery options - there's a LOT of drivers and vans going begging now with other places closing - and this interim period that's going to make things rather difficult (and risky) for me won't last too long. This situation has at least given me a reprieve from having to go get stabbed at the doctors! I have to have bloods done every 3 months to make sure my meds aren't gonna kill me (not an exaggeration, sadly ) but they've cancelled all non-essential appointments, so my super non-compliant veins don't get to misbehave for a while. Last year I was supposed to switch to new meds, I clearly dropped through the cracks and that never happened. I could have chased it up but I'd have had to take the first tablet at the hospital and then spend 6 HOURS on an ECG machine because this stuff can mess with your heart rate, so I was happy to let things slide. Turns out to have been GREAT that I'm not now on this stuff though, as it's an immunosuppressant and I've have had to self-isolate for 12 weeks, with my current groceries situation I'd have been in big trouble! But what I'm actually doing is no different to what I do any day, sat here on Neopets mostly! I also caved and bought Bloons Tower Defense 6 so that I can continue playing after the death of Flash as I don't see the older games continuing after that. Isolation is no big deal for me though as it's just business as usual. Silver lining? Good job I'm another member of Team Introvert, isn't it.
