Jareth the Stormreaver
Ok, so I got it right once but everyone else in my group was wrong. I used your technique and got it to work. (Oh, and I was able to guess while using two over 400 numbers. If your first number is over 400, subtract 400 and use that number since that's effectively the other side of the circle. For the second number being over 400, do the same thing for your circle point. It was kinda confusing, so I'll try to come up with a better way of explaining it tomorrow and post it. Guest Proto
Every room appears to have at least 2 people who don't have a clue. I'm going to wait for people with clues in room 123.
Izzy ♥
For anyone wanting to join in with some gravity tests there are two open spots in room 555 :) I'm looking to get screenies for the guide but we can't get anyone to join us xD
antiaircraft
Right - I finally have time to work on this step. Off to annoy that silly robot guy. :P
Guest Proto
Mass: 0.7 kg (S shaped thing) Composition: # 71.4% Tikium # 14.3% Slothite # 14.3% Dariganium Mass: 2.2 kg (Oriental fan shaped thing) Composition: # 4.5% Xweetite # 13.6% Faeryllium # 81.8% Zafarium *BZZT* Congratulations! You have successfully created a nuclear reactor control rod, made from Zafarium. This rod can now be added to the globally available pool of control rods used in testing Duplicate Space Faerie Tokens.
antiaircraft
Hmm... am I the only one here curious as to why we appear to be helping Sloth for this part of the plot? Not that I object or anything, but it just seems unusual...
Proto
This is what I tried and got "*BZZT* Congratulations! You have successfully created a nuclear reactor control rod, made from Zafarium. antiaircraft
Well it seems you can put up the guide section for the gravitics test now, since the triangulation has been explained. It's working fine for me at least.
crxsnochic
proto, what was your method, or did you just get lucky?
Proto
I did just get lucky. I thought 'hey, I'm thirsty' picked two at random and went to get myself a drink. I tried some ideas I had to duplicate success but none worked.
antiaircraft
No luck with the furnace so far. With all Sloth's revenue, you would think he'd actually be able to afford decent equipment...
DOOM Bringer
Wow I found something pretty interesting today whilst doing this newest step. I was gathering singularities for the Gravitics test and I got pulled into a wormhole and sent to a different location. I had been sent to Mystery Island and Terror Mountain before, but this time I got sent to the Discarded Grundo Plushie. Now it could have been a coincidence, but considering there was a topic about the plushie earlier on, perhaps there is something more to that sad little plushie? Either that or I'm just paranoid :P
Proto
Isn't that the plushie that people think every single new plot links to, but never does? Then TNT says multiple times that the plushie is from something that wasn't implemented and that it isn't ever going to have something to do with another plot? (Happened to me too - probably TNT screwing with us)
DOOM Bringer
Well to be honest that was my first thought (no I'm not lying :P ). I know TNT likes messing with it's players heads and I kinda guessed that it was either a coincidence or a joke by TNT. It reminds me of the time that they had a different ending to the Hannah and the Ice Caves plot, they had a joke that involved Sloth blasting Hannah because his plot was canceled (incidentally that plot is the one we are doing now). antiaircraft
Well at least the testing process is completely figured out... problem is that it's very hard to actually do it with all those clueless people running around.
Proto
Kinda why I'm doing the blackhole + smelting thing instead. I don't have to constantly watch or try hard not to fail just for someone else to constantly fail.
antiaircraft
True, but neither of those are quite as fun as the multiplayer tests. :P
Awesome_Paul
Well at least the testing process is completely figured out... problem is that it's very hard to actually do it with all those clueless people running around. Thats true, I have 2 other people who are complete stupid. (well 1 of them is) Every time we get to round 2, its the same one, messing up. Perhaps we should make our own team (by each entering the same number, rather than random)
crxsnochic
I'll make a team with you Paul. I'm very good at the 2nd two steps... but I still foul up sometimes on the heat tester step... I seem to have a hard time getting it "just right," but I still probably get it about 4/5 times :-)
Guest Pancreaspie
hello~ I just wanted to let you know what I have found for the heat and acid tests. The heat test- pick 3 metals whose weight adds to 5kg and throw them into the furnace. The acid test- calculate the cylinder volume and multiply by the density of the material provided. The number of seconds required is the first 3 digits (rounded up from the 4th so 181mm radius and 396mm length gives you a volume of 40773.4045cm3 x 5.1g/cm3 for Tyrannium gives you 207944.36g so you add in 208 seconds to make Tyrrannic acid) Good luck! Awesome_Paul
Thanks cryx, but I managed to get a good team via neoboards. managed to compete the testing :D
Guest Guest_Nikitachi_*
I have a guide to the "Creating control rods". It's on Nikitachi's petpage. It's not fully completed yet because we still gather data, but it's still important. If you want, you may use it on the site if you give me credit :)
crxsnochic
Pancreaspie, I've tried that method all morning for the acid test... it hasn't worked once for me :-(
Guest hmmm
Pancreaspie, I've tried that method all morning for the acid test... it hasn't worked once for me :-( Yeah. Sorry about that. I was looking for a way to delete that post since it is not the most consistent method. I've noticed that the densities do not match the cylinder volumes. I'm trying to match what density goes with what volume and will post the results. Sofar, the only one that has worked is 181mm 396mm 5.1g/cm3 = 208 seconds = Tyrannic Acid.
