What is it about Neopets that draws you in?

So we all complain and complain and complain about TnT and such, but in the end, we still come back pretty regularly to play Neopets. Why do YOU keep coming back and what do you usually do on the site? :O I ask because I'm curious and I think I should un-addict myself from neo again. :P

 

For myself, I've been playing for over 6 years now with 3-4 breaks (each 3-6 months long) intermittent in there. I mainly chat (boards and guild), battle, restock, collect stuff for my gallery. Lately however, I mostly just chat and can't be bothered to make np. :P

Well neopet is my subsittute cause I'm waiting for a new computer to have which will take awhile I'm planning to play an online game called Ragnarok. But saydly my computer too slow to download it. But i play it caus ei want to prove everybodyI'm better than all of you

I've been playing Neopets for 30 months now, and I stick around because it's a good place to entertain myself. Especially because of the plots and the Altador Cup.

Guilds are fun too, I like mine, I've met some really nice people through it. Hm, what else... I used to play games a lot but I've been slacking lately, the new ones don't hold my attention as long as some of the older ones did. I do love avatar collecting, so I still often play games for those!

 

Oh and I've been playing neo for just over 5 years, with a break of around 18 months in the middle.

I mainly come back to chat. And participate in plots. If those two activities were eliminated, I wouldn't have any reason to to come back.

I've been playing Neopets for who knows how long. All together, I'd say I have been playing for 4-5 years. I've been through quite a bit of accounts however.

(Not from being frozen, but pretty much from losing passwords, username, and interest.)

 

The actual reason why I pretty much come to Neopets is partially due to the Games Room. I basically make all my Neopoints from playing games upon games upon games. Also, this is another reason why I take Aaa pretty seriously whenever he comes by.

The Advent Calendar keeps me at Neopets too. I just love the animations and the little sound effects they usually have along with it.

 

Fact: My very first Neopet created was a Kacheek. Can't remember his name, but he had a ton of numbers in it. @_@

xD My first neopet was also a Kacheek, but on another account that I lost the password to. x_x I remember it's name including the word "snowball", along with a bunch of numbers.

I may vaguely remember "fluffy" in its name... along with a year supply of numbers.

xD I'm sorry, but I had to do that. It's not an awesome name, but at least it has no numbers or underscores.

I don't think I could safely transfer my pets to another account without someone snatching them. So I stick with my current one.

I managed to transfer any pet of mine safely so far. But with all the players out there today, I better be careful. The fact that Thundernation is painted and has a zapped Petpet that's a Chocolate Meepit would contribute to someone snatching her.

Yes, I used Firefox and Internet Explorer to do so.

 

I go to great lengths for my pets. xD

I suppose that is yet another reason to stay here at Neopets.

So, transfering pets safely is pretty much impossible for me, unless they weren't very appealing to everyone.

Hahah, ain't that the truth, and probably why it appeals to so many different players. It's kind of eerie how some parts can be such a true reflection of real life at times x_x

 

I also used firefox and IE to transfer pets. Even with a slow connection, it's still pretty safe I think since you will know exactly when it goes into the pound and you'll be refreshing for it the instant it goes in. :)

 

I'm really horrible at games...didn't have the time/interest to do the AAA challenge :P

Mmhmm...I come back/stick around first and foremost for the people I've met. Some of my neofriends I've known and kept in contact with for years and years :P They're the ones that keep dragging me back to this site x)

 

And uhh...I think my first neopet was a bruce of some sort. :P I don't have it anymore :(

I transfer with only one browser... the last time I did it was with my slow, glitchy IE as well. If you have three windows (or tabs) open with the abandon page, the QAL for your pet, and the page where you enter your pw with it already typed for the account you're transfering to. Then you can abandon, flip to the login page and quickly click login and then flip to the QAL and refresh :) I've always found it fairly foolproof because even if your internet is a little slow this is still quicker than if someone need to see it in the pound and decide to adopt it!

 

As for my first pet... it was a blue Kougra. I still have her, its iz9piper :D Most of the pets on my main have terrible names because I made them as an ignorant newbie XD
