Charity Corner Spiked! Perk question

Does anybody know how the Spiked! perk works this year?  I seem to remember last year you spent your charity corner points by pressing the button and a message came up telling you which battledome stats had increased.  This year, after you hit apply, a message comes up that says Spiked perk has been successful, but no indication of which stats have been affected.

I did it a second time this morning, but got out my training stats first, and it doesn't look like anything has increased at all!  Has it worked for anyone else?  Am I looking at this wrong or does this sound like a bug?

Same happened to me one of the times I used Spiked - the second time, my level went up. First time, no difference ... but it does say it can affect intelligence, and I don't really pay attention to that, so I assumed that was the stat that went up.

So, the same thing happened to me - I hit the button but my stats didn't seem to increase....
