lizzyjane101
I didn't even really think of that at first but I totally see your point, the 'don't let her take meds' thing is a pretty bad thing to promote in a family show. I really disliked the return of the missing sister for much the same reason, in real life stuff doesn't always work out and Doctor Who's never before been afraid of showing us that sometimes people die and mysteries go unsolved. Moffat has this bizarre reputation for being cruel and killing people off but they come back more often than the average X-Man. Yeah. As someone with a lot of friends who take a lot of meds, this made me really uncomfortable. And the thing about Moffat is that his cruelty is completely superficial. If you want my full opinion on it, check out some of the earlier posts. He has no concept of serious consequence. People die and then come back. The Doctor's home, his loved ones, his world, is dead and creates a huge about of trauma for him. Then what does Moffat do? Poof, it's magically back. Lol, yeah. I'm wondering how they're going to get away with the new Deadpool movie what with him being dead and all (which I was really mad about because he's my fave). Hopefully we can just sweep that whole Logan origin thing under the carpet and pretend it never happened. Anyway, back to dw. Moffat's writing is just not real enough. I don't mind the fictional side to the science fiction, but the way life works... exactly what you were saying. People die, s**t happens. is talking about the finale ok or do we need to be spoiler cautious still? YES OMG WOW THE FINALE WOW. Okay, can we talk about this. So this QOH thing, huh? This whole thread is basically *spoiler alert* Just... we were so close to guessing it. And these last two episodes I really liked. The first ones all season that I actually legit liked. And was it you who said she should be a time lord or smt? I just... ugh. Of course it was her, how could it be anyone else? Obsessed with the doctor, mad, weirdly flirty in an 'I'm going to kill you' kind of way, and can believably hold power over large, complex organisations. IGUKJB,OUKGHVMTDGHC I CAN'T. AND THEY FINALLY KISSED WHICH WAS SO LONG COMING AND WOW SHE'S MAD AND WOW I'M SO EXCITED. It's like Moriarty and Sherlock.
Koakuma_Heaven
My computer broke just before the finale so i've been unable to rant, Incoming... Talking finale here so SPOILERS. God damn you Moffat, I was really, really enjoying the finale, I didn't mind the revelation of The Mistress (tho I'm sure a big portion of the internet is crying that it's not the Rani) but I wasn't sure how to feel about the kiss- on the one hand Doctor/Master has been closer to text than subtext since forever and it's nice to finally get some TV-show confirmation that isn't just teasing or referencing the books/audios, on the other hand I feel I should be a little offended that what's quite possibly the biggest and longest running Ship in Who can only be confirmed when one of them's a girl, it smacks a bit of Moffat's 'look how edgy and dark I am but actually I won't do anything that might annoy anyone' Other than that I felt the finale tied together well, it didn't leave with a lot of unanswered or just confusing questions (I'm looking at YOU Series with the Astronaut and Silence >>) it was nice to see a major character or two that might actually stay dead (tho that makes you wonder how he had descendants in Listen) and the Brigadier stuff made me squee happily. The ending with Clara and the Doctor lying to each other for (what they think) is the other's happiness was good, and I loved the Doctor's breakdown over Gallifrey still being missing, if the episode had ended there i'd have felt it was dark, but necessary. Then Santa showed up. Santa SANTA CLAUS and congratulations Moffat you win the ultimate Ruined The Mood Award. Seriously unless it turns out to be the Master being an epic Troll I'm not sure I'll be watching anymore New Who ><
Shane for Wax
I know Missy was Koschei (the Master) for a while. Koschei isn't exactly imaginative and the Doctor isn't exactly able to figure it out even tho Koschei was his best friend for decades. HOWEVER, I'm pretty sure Missy teleported and is thus not dead. The beam colors were for the teleport not the death thingy. And it's just be like Koschei to just disappear and leave the Doctor to his own devices and wondering if his old friend will return again. I am... disappointed by the finale however. I expected a lot more than what we were given. But then, it's Moffat (warning: not a Moffat fan at all oops). I am mad that Danny had to die. But given Moffat's track record, I'm not surprised. And if Missy did die as well, then that means Moffat killed off both a woman and a man of color. I'm interested to see the Christmas Special. But if it's revealed Santa is a long lost time lord or something I'm out. P.S. in case it isn't clear, I'm a huge fan of Koschei/the Master, even going so far as to RP him/them. So yeah, that's why Missy is so important to me not to be dead. Again.
