Much Needed Makeover... But What's Missing?

On a whim, I decided to give Sandrea a much needed change of scenery. Now, I absolutely love her as striped, so I've kept that the same, and since Sandrea is originally from Neovia (because I said so), I have decided to keep her attire simple but elegant.

 

However, the background, as much as I love it, is great on its on... but I feel like something more is missing, and I can't quite put my finger on what.

 

What do you guys think of Sandrea's mini-makeover?

You might try adding a Neovian Serving Trolley if you want to fill in the background a little more, but honestly I think it looks great as it is. :)

 

EDIT: Well now that I see a bigger picture, that looks really out of place. Nevermind that then. I love your current custo.

Bwahaha, Sandrea's playing a joke on you. She's such a kidder.

 

I think I have one of those serving trollies in my closet. I'll go give it a look in the background and see how I like it. And thanks! I'm glad you like it. :)

 

Edit: I had a look, and it looks okay, but I felt like it garnered too much attention in the background, so I took the trolley back off, however in a sense, it does go along with the whole apple thing. If I could get one of those spooky apple tree foregrounds, I would have used that instead of the undead apples, but I had to make do with what I already had. I originally didn't plan on adding the lantern either, but after I did it, I thought the skull that was visible made a great touch along with the undead apples. My other choice was to use the haunted wood foreground, but I thought that foreground didn't have enough going on. I might change Sandrea around... maybe put her in black pants and some spooky shirt, and maybe Bart's hat. I dunno. Just playing around with ideas right now, and the trolley was a good idea, I just think it's too colorful in the background. Maybe Sandrea's face was what was really missing! LOL

It looks great! The only thing I personally don't like is the gown, but that's because I'm really not a fan of that gown in any 'pet, lol :P Anyways, she looks really neat :)

I agree that looks pretty much fine! I thought maybe you should add some Ghosts/Ghostkercheifs or bats to make it a bit spookier. Or maybe you should add one of those creepy veils that ghost brides have! (I mean, if Neopets has such a wearable) or maybe you should add something to help the apples look... For example, an Apple Bobbing Cane, a Shiny Apple (both are very cheap), or, like you suggested, an Apple Bobbing Bart Hat (it's cheap too)!

Zoom out and you can see basically all the backgrounds (well, the np backgrounds) at the same time. It is easier than browsing DTI.

as emily said, it's the aisha maiden skirt :) It occupies the "jacket" zone instead of the shirt/dress zone so it can be worn over the dress

 

I wish the shirt wasn't species specific, I really like it XD

Thanks everyone for the suggestions! I particularly like the shadow in the background, the addition of the cobwebs in the foreground, and I like that maiden shirt too. I think I will follow Shelley and add those to Sandrea. I love how she looks! :)
